A dear friend of ours recommended us to meet here for breakfast where he is a regular. He is vegan and I prefer the same type of food. The place has great NM character with unique art. They are open for breakfast and lunch and you can order from either section. They have several vegan and vegetarian options which is hard to find in Las Cruces. The food is beautiful presented and delicious. My wife ordered the Vegan Burrito. Our friend and I ordered their Vegan Rancheros. My wife and I had their regular coffee and our friend a Cappuccino. We definitely will be back. The one thing that was disappointing was the salsa. Both my friend and I concluded that it was Pace Hot Sauce, definitely not made in the restaurant. read more

We were traveling to AZ and saw this place. What a great spot for brunch! We had our small dog with us and they gladly seated us outside in a great little courtyard. The food was amazing! The service was great! We will be back for sure! read more

Second visit. Food took over an hour to arrive for a party of six. Then they delivered them a couple at a time. We were apparently the last folks to arrive. The coffee was as bad as the last time like maybe the bottom of a pot that had been sitting. Had to ask for water refills and condiments not displayed at a nearby service table. Interesting menu and some of the plates looked great. Eggs Flourentine was generally good except for whatever 'bun?' was under. It was tough to cut. Eggs were a bit overdone. Sauce good. Nice overall menu. Not really set up for handicapped and driveway very challenging to navigate. They need more servers. Charming Old Mexico setting. Just need some work on service. read more

This is a great stop while traveling. Warm, welcoming, beautiful rooms and outdoor patio. Outdoor there are airy large tables with umbrellas. We love the art, tasty food, warm welcome here. What strange little place! I moved to the area at the beginning of 2025. I had not been here so I thought I would share my money and support local business. Not a good idea. I walked in, there was an empty table by the door and two in the back. The waiter and the cook were very kind and welcoming. However, the owner was at the counter and instantly acted like my presence was an inconvenience to her. She said it would be a moment, she needed to see if there was a table available. I replied, of course, no worries. She never even looked at me or said another word. The young man waiting tables took me to a four top in the back. (Yes, I was in the restaurant industry in Portland, Oregon, for thirty years as a fine dining Chef.) I told the young man I just wanted coffee and didn't want to take up that much space as the owner already made me feel unwelcome. He was very kind, however, I ended up leaving because the owner was so cold and standoffish it was uncomfortable staying. Good gravy, the attitude of gratitude is not here. Therefore, I would recommend this business nor will I ever return. So sad, I really wanted this to be my new coffee shop. Delicious breakfast and lunches. I'm allergic to eggs so I was delighted to see they carry a vegan ranchero option. The little patio outside is pleasant in good weather. There's also a small shop with various handmade and imported items, including punched tin statues and paintings by local artists on the walls, many for sale. Also a small book section. I've never had a bad meal there, and it's a favorite spot for friends to meet. read more

Inside is decorated with a lot of polish pottery, and owner is very knowledgeable about it and loves to share her passion. First time visit to this restaurant and not likely to return. Hardly anyone there and the owner was extremely inattentive. Never asked if we wanted something besides the water she brought when we sat down. Then after one of us had to flag her down and request a drink she just left and never asked the rest of the table if they wanted something as well. Never checked in to see how the meal was going. Never came back with the check so we just went towards the exit and then she saw us and took payment. The menu looks really good, but our food was mediocre as well. What a great little secret right on Avienda de Mesilla. There is seating inside and a patio. The staff is very accommodating for larger groups. The New Mexico touch on the Monte Cristo (green Chile) is an amazing touch! The breakfast burrito Christmas style(red and green) was very delicious and filling. Huevos Rancheros... well the plates were licked clean. I am just saying thAt everything our group ordered was a hit and there were ten of us. The meals all came out about the same time and the service was incredible. The patio is fur baby friendly... that is why chose this spot...just a truly relaxing and enjoyable Sunday brunch spot! We stopped in for coffee and we fell in love with this fantastic cafe. The coffee is wonderful. I ordered the Mexican hot chocolate and added coffee to it on the recommendation of the Barista. Delicious! We ordered two freshly made tamales (one pork with red sauce and one with cheese). Both tamales were absolutely delicious. Just enough spice. The courtyard out back is peaceful and beautiful. Definitely a place to recommend and stop in if you are going to visit Mesilla. read more

Such an adorable place and an authentic feel! Its a pueblo looking building with statues that decorate the doorstep and other delicacies that make it for a good photo spot too. My friends and I went during brunch time, so we got breakfast menus. I got a huge breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, and bacon with verde sauce! It was plenty to fill my hungry tummy and did I mention it was delicious. Joyce was awesome and welcoming from the moment we walked in! I'm vegan so I was ecstatic to see vegan options on the menu. The vegan rancheros with Hot Tomatillo sauce was so good for breakfast. Hands down the worst food. Bland!! Flavorless. Chicken tasted like it came from a bag of boiled chicken. The cheese was sour too. I asked for some more coffee and she brought out a carafe. Four of us drove to Mesilla this morning for breakfast. We placed our orders and found a table to wait for our breakfast. We had a choice of Ginger/Peach tea or regular. My wife had the breakfast quesadilla and I had the build your own omelet, smothered in green chile. Both of our meals were delicious. I can't even explain how good the eggs and green chile breakfast sandwich is on sourdough -- definitely get it! I ordered it without the meat and didn't miss it in the slightest. I was excited to see vegan options on the menu. Unfortunately, both the edgey veggie wrap and the vegan burrito missed the mark. The veggie burrito was very bland. The veggie wrap was just salad mix in a tortilla. According to the menu it had hummus, but I could not taste it. Something as simple as a side of salsa with these dishes would have helped immensely. This is an update to my originally misplaced review. We visited and drove from Las Cruces centre to check this place out because there was a Vegan burrito on the menu. Both my husband and I are vegans. Cute spot from the exterior, cute on the inside. Great pastry selection....we ordered the only straight up vegan item on the menu. It was busy so service was slow but we weren't in a rush. I have to say that while everyone was friendly, it was really not the greatest for vegan eats. Hubs took 2 pastries which were good, coffee was good but as far as being VEGAN (we cannot speak for meat dishes) this place wasn't on point. I found a few chunks of ground meat that must've snuck into the burrito somehow, I didn't complain as it was too busy to get recognition but I didn't finish the meal either. Really wanted to love the place, you should try it out if you eat animal products to make your own decisions. read more

My wife and I have eaten here a number of times. I had the Red Chili Pork Colorado twice and highly recommend it. Excellent taste and plenty of food. Sides were also delish. This is our absolute favorite place to go for brunch in the area. The food is incredibly good across the board (across the menu?) The coffee drinks are incredibly good.
