Had the opportunity to have a dinner out with friends downtown at Lamezze and it was a great opportunity to see what the space is all about. This is a mediterranean restaurant with a primary focus on signature dishes yet some had their own flair which was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A fairly intimate restaurant, you could find a few table tops and seating at their bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a reservation for about 6 people and we're placed in one of their central tables. This restaurant is across the building hallway from the Aloft Hotel for those who are staying downtown. I enjoyed their happy hour that we were able to enjoy which ended up being a daily hh if I recall correctly. From signature cocktails including their margarita and select wines, you could choose your choice of elixir. Food was decent and the table enjoyed it overall.

Great food with some good flavor. I especially liked the jalapeño poppers with hummus. The Bowl was great the citrus flavor gave it that kick I expected and the asada meat had an amazing flavor as well. I would love to try a shawarma plate next time. I will say I was kinda let down that there was no additional sauce to the order like a tzatziki sauce or something. The order came out to about $53 on Uber Eats and the only sauce they provided was a tiny cup of sauce for the calamari so I was pretty let down by that. Other than that the food was great I would order from here again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lamezze is one of those downtown El Paso gems that immediately pulls you in -- the kind of spot that feels like it should be buzzing in a bigger city, yet somehow still holds that local warmth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is elevated Mediterranean chic: soft lighting, stylish plates, and a touch of romance that makes it ideal for date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service? Spot-on -- attentive without hovering. They have an impressive list of drink options, plus a full bar tucked off to the side, and it's connected to a charming hotel, which adds to the whole experience. Now the food -- absolutely phenomenal. Their vegan options go beyond the usual: calabacita soup that's cozy and flavorful, falafel and hummus done right, and my personal favorite, the roasted fire cauliflower kebab plate -- charred to perfection. And then they surprised me with hummus-stuffed jalapeño poppers that were downright addictive. My husband went for the same dish, bacon-wrapped (mine, obviously, sans bacon), and we both cleaned our plates. Fair prices, generous portions, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger -- Lamezze nails it.

I visited this restaurant in El Paso for a very late lunch and early dinner on a Monday. I had flown in early for work meetings and hadn't had a chance to eat all day, so I was really craving something filling, nutritious, and preferably at a sit-down restaurant after hours of travel and driving. I remembered this spot because I'd stayed at the Aloft next door on a previous trip, though I hadn't dined here before. I'm glad I finally did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the seating was cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the booth had a bit of dust on it, it was easy to wipe down and didn't affect my experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout my visit. Thet served me water immediately and I got a blueberry refesher-like drink (non-alcoholic), as well as the vegetable kabob platter, which came with yellow rice and a variety of veggies. I asked to substitute the tahini with whipped feta, and they were happy to accommodate. The whipped feta was quite tart and tasty, though it was a bit crumbly and hard to spread on the pita bread. Still, everything was fresh and flavorful. Because I was so hungry and eating at an odd hour -- too late for lunch, too early for dinner -- this meal really hit the spot. It kept me satisfied for the rest of the evening. While I ended up grabbing dessert from a nearby bakery across the street, I could have easily stayed for dessert here as well. Overall, this was a clean, affordable restaurant with great service and a solid Mediterranean menu. A great spot to dine in El Paso!

It's 11 am and I'm staying at the Aloft downtown El Paso, I'm hungry I missed the free breakfast. Then I remembered there's a restaurant on the first floor. I make my way get a seated right away, table for one. It's busy but they have 3 waiters in duty and they are moving. I order and although it takes a bit my Whiskey Pecan French toast comes out with a homemade breakfast patty. The French toast is very good, sausage patty not my style. But I eat it. Then I was still hungry so I order the Moroccan Shawarma off the lunch menu with the house salad. It comes much quicker than the French toast did and it was my favorite thing I had there. Shredded lamb in a carnitas way. Loved the flavor, the Tzatziki sauce was good and I thought I might need more but realized I didn't, it was the perfect ratio. House salad was good with their tangy house dressing. I am coming back for that Shawarma!

Service was slow but food and drinks were good. I would definitely check it out again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the green and gold aesthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food was not bad, the waitress treated me weird when she saw I came here by myself to have lunch. I can't imagine that's very abnormal. That being said, [[HIGHLIGHT]]they stuck me in a corner in a very uncomfortable spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a good vibe if you're trying to find a place to chit chat and grab a bite with people, just don't come alone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I wanted something healthier for dinner and found this place on Yelp - it was perfect! Lots of great dinner options, but we got the roasted cauliflower as an appetizer and I had the pecan crusted salmon for my entree. It was really flavorful and fresh although the dressing was a bit too heavy on the arugula. The cauliflower was average. I really liked the ambience here and the fresh flowers at the table. Our sever was very attentive and quick. There's only street parking nearby.

The downtown location is a perfect spot to meet friends for brunch. The menu is very Mediterranean, which means heart healthy! I came with a gal pal and the place did not disappoint - the atmosphere was relaxing and service was on point. My friend scarfed down her entire gyro before I had taken a few bites of my dish- she said it was really really good!

Ambiance - Cute restaurant with appropriate decor. I loved the ceiling because of the different patterns and colors. It definitely made the atmosphere feel more homey. Service - Seems like there was only one server but he was very polite and attentive. Did in a great job especially with the amount of tables and people that were present. Food - Had the traditional combo and gyro wrap w/ chicken orzo soup. The fatayer was a really pleasant surprise and was probably the best thing off the traditional combo. Gyro wrap was fresh and well proportioned. My favorite was the chicken orzo soup! Will definitely be the soup I go for on a sick day. It's a little hidden but definitely worth the find. The food here has a different style than what you normally find in a mediterranean food, but interesting and delicious nonetheless. The traditional combo is a great way to try some of the more interesting items, but the fatayer and chicken orzo soup were standouts for me! Will be back to try other things.

He said the meat was incredibly flavorful and tender, but there was a bit too much veg for him. I thought it looked fine, but he's a little anti-lettuce :-) Since we were eating at home, I doctored up the tabouli a bit with extra lemon juice and garlic. It was delicious! The hummus was pretty good too. Portion sizes were incredible for the price, especially the sides. Honestly my only complaint and reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars was because the warm pita strips for the hummus were delivered in a tied off plastic bag, and the trapped steam made the bread a bit soggy. I understand it has to be hard to deliver certain foods - may just have to try them in-person sometime and give them a better shot!

The menu is a dream for anyone who loves vegetarian or vegan options (there's no shortage here). I went with the veggie kebab, which was perfectly seasoned and felt light yet satisfying -- definitely on the healthier side, but not at all lacking in flavor. The real standout, though? The falafel. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere. The mint lemonade was also incredible -- super refreshing and just the right balance of sweet and tart. You can tell this kitchen knows its roots -- everything tastes thoughtfully balanced, not overcomplicated or trying too hard. Our server was amazing. From the moment we walked in until the end of our meal, the service was superb. Our server seated us and immediately brought water, menus, and a complimentary sample of hummus, which I love. I requested butternut squash soup, but they didn't have it that evening, so I ended up ordering the lobster bisque instead. My husband chose the mushroom chimichurri pasta. We also ordered two glasses of Madalena Cabernet Sauvignon to accompany our dishes. We didn't wait long before our meals arrived. My soup was delicious, featuring generous chunks of lobster, and it was served on a toasted slice of bread topped with crispy kale. As I wasn't very hungry, this was just the right portion for me. My husband had nothing but praise for his dish. Since we were celebrating, we also ordered dessert: their chocolate mousse tart. It was divine and paired well with the wine. I am sad to see such a unique place with seasonal menus close its doors, but I was excited to hear from our server that they have been bought out and will be returning in a month or two under a new name and remodeled store front, to bring new culinary delights to El Paso.
