Oh man. Sad to say this was just ok. Given we are from out of town and have access to great Thai food. My main criticism is that the drunken noodles are dried basil. I would avoid this. Green curry was watery for me, full of veggies though. I did not hardly get any rice with the order. Service tries hard, but the kitchen can hardly keep up with orders, hence you'll be waiting awhile for food Ambiance is very nice, though they can only keep 1/2 of the restaurant operating due to lack of personnel. Our son used to live here in Las Cruces but now he lives up north in Rio Rancho. He is a foodie and often eats out in the Albuquerque area and in Santa Fe where they have an array of great restaurants. When he comes down to visit my wife and I, Renoo's is on his top choices. We like to go there, but due to health reasons, I couldn't go out so he ordered food from Renoo's and he went to pick it up. My wife ordered her favorite Tom Kha soup with chicken. Nice atmosphere, decent service, "meh" food. Ive had their pad thai and green curry. Both times, its just been disappointingly basic. Thai food is supposed to be explosive and flavorful. This is not. I paid +$5 to add beef to my curry, which I swear was literally just curry paste, coconut milk, and bell peppers. Even the *rice* was sad. Trust me, you can do it better yourself. Instead of driving up into Organ, go to Taste of India indowntown las cruces for a better curry, or go south to El Paso and eat at The Grove for some great korean-fusion noodles. Stopped by for lunch and it was okay. Got the pad kee mao. Portion size was really large but it was a little lacking in flavor. But I'm pretty okay with lighter food. I wanted pad Thai and also wanted to try the chicken teriyaki. I ordered for carryout and the food was coming out of the kitchen as I arrived. The pad Thai was very good. I got it with tofu and it was really good! I probably won't do the chicken teriyaki again, it wasn't what I was expecting. Update: Apparently they use Square as their point of sale system because I received a receipt in my email. There was an FYI section that said the salmon curry no longer included any squid. I guess they don't offer squid in any of their dishes anymore. I've known about Renoo's for several years but this was my first visit. They're in this little nondescript building on the side of the highway and I actually passed it a few times trying to figure out where I needed to get off the highway. You need to get off the highway at First St and then turn right on Old Organ Main St. The food was ok but I was a little disappointed. The menu on their website is out of date - the prices have gone up and some items are no longer available like their fried squid from the "Hot Off The Grill" section. I was expecting the fried tofu and veggies appetizer to have a little variety with the veggies but it was only broccoli. The pieces were really small too. Not worth $10.75. I had the pad thai with eggplant and it was ok, but the eggplant pieces were very skinny. According to the website, the noodle dishes are supposed to come with the soup of the day "when available". I didn't get any soup so I guess it wasn't available. Or this was another part of the website that wasn't updated. The noodles weren't worth $15. The last item in my order was the salmon curry. It came with rice but only enough for one person but the dish itself could feed 2-3 people. The stock was flavorful and the salmon was diced in big chunks but the addition of pineapple was a bit unusual for my tastes. The only other ingredient was diced bell peppers. Overall it was ok but really expensive at $17.50. The bill was about $53 with a tip. I don't think I'll be coming back for another visit. The prices are very high for what you get and this place is out of my way so the drive out there and back home is a bit too far. read more

If you are stuck in the beautiful but oppressive campground in the nearby Organ Mountains National Monument...this might be your only reasonable place for dinner. Why? The campground locks up at 6pm. If you're not back in time, your tent is going to be sleeping with itself! It's probably not enough time for the 40 min R/T voyage to Las cruces, but you can probably make it to Renoo's! (it's about half that) Lucky for you, this place still serves up really fresh, really good Thai food! Ambiance is chill, and the staff are friendly. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. The vegetables in the stir fry were cooked enough, not over cooked, not really under cooked, though I would say the bell peppers could have been considered raw. But overall, I liked the color and freshness of the vegetables. Problem was that most of the veggies were bell peppers and onions. Would have liked to have had more zucchini and added mushrooms would not have been a bad idea. The dish itself was worth no more than half of what is charged. The chicken was boiled. Or at least seemed boiled. Would have added more flavor to be grilled. Not a fan of boiled chicken. Even if it is healthier. As for spice heat. We ordered medium heat. Overall, there was no heat at all. But... there was a pile of chile flakes/powder on top of our dishes. That chile was scorching! After mixing it up in the dish, the heat dispersed,... I would say that was medium heat. So, be sure to mix the chile that is on your food! The sodas are 3.50 for a tiny glass, about the size of a small drink at most other places. They were out of dumplings when we were there. A few points brought up by other (out of towners) reviewers. If you are camping at Aguirre Springs in the Organ Mountain Monument area, this restaurant is the closest you will find, and is about 15 mins from Aguirre Springs. Las Cruces is only 5 more minutes down the road, NOT 40 minutes as one person stated. Plenty of restuarants, fast food, etc., in the area. If you want to go clear to the center of downtown, THAT would take another 10-15 mins. But there are plenty of food choices 5 mins away, as I stated. I had no problem with the music, which sounded like it was a piped in commercial pay per play station, or a local station, really couldn't hear a whole lot, which was perfect. Music should be barely noticeable in the background, and it was. So, no prob there. The inside, well, I wouldn't call it "cute" (that's just weird), but it was nicely done on the inside. This used to be a bar some 27 ish years ago. It was pretty run down and kinda nasty at that time. Then it turned into a restaurant, that later moved elsewhere deeper into LC, and it has been Renoo's for some time. They've cleaned it up pretty well. It is much better on the inside than the outside. The service: The one girl that was waiting and clearing tables was rushing around trying to take care of everyone. They were a bit busy and she could have used help. Yes, we sat for a time waiting... probably 10-15 mins. Husband's food came out about 5-10 minutes before mine. And, being a gentleman, he wouldn't eat until my food came. So that was a bit of an "off" there. But other than that, the food came within a decent amount of time. We sat to be waited on longer than we waited for the food. Will we be back? Probably not. The food was good, not great. The prices were high. It's close by. But, overall, not worth it. The Chicken Satay was a bit disappointing. Chicken was pretty tough and dipping sauce was very thick peanut butter. I know I'm prejudice as I've had Thai food in the Pacific Northwest. That said, it wasn't up to par. Also in the PNW they include a light cucumber salad with the Chicken Satay. They need a much better sauce with these. Some spice yet insufficient. What a disappointment! Looked this restaurant up on Yelp and wanted to give it a try so we drove up from Las Cruces making an effort to try it out. Yelp says open til 2:00pm it was 12:30pm when we got there. Waited patiently for the only waitress on the floor to help us. We were told that they closed at 1:00pm. I told her about the time on Yelp but then pointed to a sign that said it closed at 1:00pm by then it was 12:45 pm. She said they stopped taking people at 12:45pm! They what kind of place does this I told her that nowhere does it say last customer at 12:45! She was rude and had an attitude because we were arguing with her that they should be talking there last morning customers at 1:00 if that's what the sign says! Only 2 other table had customers! Service was good but seemed a little understaffed, the restaurant is very cute and worth the drive. The ambiance is great, though the music was a little weird- like early 2000s pop. The food was excellent, good spice and flavor. The fried dumplings had a lot of oil on them and could have been allowed to drain for a little longer. But they still tasted good. read more

Server was nice and friendly. We ordered shrimp roll and it came out frozen in the middle. They had to take it back. ordered wanton soup but the broth is way too salty with soy sauce. i had pad see eew but noodles is still too tough. Even if this place was awful, I would give at least 3 stars just because of its proximity to White Sands .. when you live in the middle of nowhere with Subway as your only dining out option, it's nice to throw a little variety in the mix that doesnt ta an hour to drive to! Luckily, it's not just convenient but also super tasty! I've tried the food twice now (pretty much the same order since it was so good the first time: pineapple red curry and pad thai) and haven't been disappointed. The pineapple red curry is my FAVE! I get it spicy with the chicken instead of sea food and it's the type of delicious that makes you kind of obsess over it! The spice with the coconut with the peppers and pineapple.. just YUM! Oh, and the portions are so big that I was able to eat it for 3 separate meals and be stuffed each time! My second favorite is the pad thai.. again I get it spicy with chicken and again it can last for 3 separate meals for me. I tried the crab wontons as an app the first time I stopped in, and they just didn't do it for me.. but the curry made up for it! Sooooo good! Best Pad Thai I've had in 25 years. AND the first time I've found a restaurant in New Mexico where I can get Pad Thai that is not painfully spicy (granted, I'm a wimp with sad, bland Midwestern taste buds...) If you like it painfully hot, they'll still make you happy but I appreciate the option for the less spicy inclined. I've only done takeout orders, but my interactions with employees have always been friendly and professional. The orders are ready promptly and packaged carefully. The restaurant looks clean and beautiful. I hope to dine-in soon. Oh! The Crab Rangoon appetizers are amazing too. So far, they've never lasted the drive home! Love this restaurant. There's definitely a lack of good thai food in El Paso, so when I heard about this place, I definitely had to try it. Ambiance - Called in and ordered to go. They were very efficient and quick at giving me my food. The place is self is a bit out there and looks run-down, but it's definitely worth a shot. Food - Ordered the pad thai, pad kee mao, and mango sticky rice. All were delicious, especially the pad thai. The mango sticky rice came deconstructed because it was a to-go order, but all the components maintained their integrity and were delicious together.
