After passing the Palladium for months, my ladyfriend and I finally got around to visiting this theatre as part of an early screening. Parking is easy (though they are a little light on handicapped spots), as is the entry, where there aren't any steps leading up to the entrance. Inside, it's spacious and well kept up; you won't find grimy carpets or torn curtains here. I didn't try the concessions but it looks like they have the standard offerings. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the seating inside is comfortable. In fact, kudos to them for making sure the restrooms and theatre seats were clean. Five star experience, will definitely come here when I want to catch a new flick! read more

We attended a movie premiere and were really looking forward to relaxing with a drink before the show. My husband went to the bar to order one beer and one frozen drink (one for each of us) while I held our spot in line. Despite both of us being well over 21, the bartender refused to serve him two drinks and insisted that I had to come up and show my ID in person. By the time I was able to leave the line, happy hour had ended, and we missed the special we came for by 1 minute. The bartenders were also not very friendly or understanding of the situation. What's frustrating is that their own posted bar rules say "One double per guest with a valid ID," which includes "any two 16oz frozen drinks or beers." That's exactly what he was ordering, two drinks total, and it fit within their stated policy. We've never had this issue at other theaters or bars before, and it really took away from what should have been a fun night out. read more

Won tickets from a yelp elite event. This was our 1st event with yelp. Was a little nervous because I had never heard of the movie, bit I googled before hand and I'm glad I did. It made me enjoy the move even more. The check in process was easy, kinda wish there was signage to show where to check in. But we just asked other people and they directed us on where to go. The movie it's self was soooo funny, we saw alot of our previous ourselves in the characters. My husband even got called out a few times. Lots of laughs were had. I had a good experience here. The movie tickets, food and drinks may be a little overpriced, but they have awesome seating and very nice, large lounge type chairs that recline. I've tried the beer and wine from the bar which are not insanely expensive when you consider that most movie theaters do not have alcoholic beverages. $47 for two adult tickets and one kid, I think that's average for movie theaters these days. They also do great things, like free summer kids movies, $5 tickets for first responders and military. You can reserve your seats in advance and the shows I've been to were not overly crowded and the theater itself has only a few rows of seating to limit the amount of people, which is also nice. I think the slight difference in price compared to a more traditional theater is well worth the quality of the experience. I would recommend this location, it's huge with a lot of theater screens, concession stands, a bar, and it's clean. read more

My Favorite place to watch movies. We bought tickets for the Mezz which is definitely worth the price as the experience is great. You go upstairs to the adults only section which is clean and quiet. There are multiple theaters. We went into theater 18 which is all pods. You are in a pod that was two seats, and servers come to you. The pods are equipped with automatic recliners and there's three cup holders. I paid $36 dollars for the pair. I like it because I don't have to get up and refill my drink or get a snack in the middle of the movie. Everything was nice and I enjoyed our movie. I would recommend this experience and would say you need to try it at least once. read more

So I drove all the way here, for them to tell me their promo of buy $100, get $20, is only for online purchases. Ironically, their website doesn't say the purchase 'must' be made online for this. Since I bought the $100 before the concessions guy told me that, I'm leaving it at that. Clearly, the effort of coming in to patronize their establishment isn't recognized. I went here a couple weeks ago because it was one of the few places that was showing the movie that I wanted to see. The movie was terrible and predictable. Thankfully I am reviewing the theatre and not the movie. I got to the theatre with plenty of time before my movie started. I had no issues finding a parking spot. When i got inside, I had a lot of time to kill so ordered a beer from the bar. The service was friendly and they got my beer out quickly. I paid and then had a seat at one of their many tables. After I finished my beer, I walked around the theatre. They have an upstairs area that was closed off at the time. They also have a nice arcade area. While it was closer to the movie's showtime, I made my way to the concession area and ordered a Philly Cheesesteak. I'm a bit of a picky eater so o ordered it with only meat, cheese and bread. The cheese steak was really tasty. I don't expect this all the time but this place seemed to make up for the lack of Peppers and Onions by giving more meat and cheese. I have added a picture so you can judge for yourself. The movie theatre had a casual feel with their reclining seats. The seats are very comfortable. They don't make for a good combination with a boring/predictable movie. I think that I fell asleep at some point during the movie. My wife and I attended a special showing of the movie Ellen the Great tonight at the Santikos Palladium movie theater. We both recommend the Palladium and the movie. Let's talk about the theater. The seats are very comfortable. If you don't know , the seat recline and there is lots of leg room. The bathrooms were clean and there was lots of parking. As we were leaving I saw some interesting mid week specials, so if money is tight, check these specials out and see a movie with popcorn and a drink for a few bucks. This theatre needs a major upgrade. It's had some notable wear and tear since the last time I visited a few years ago. The seats were very worn down and tattered. The restrooms were very dirty, with a toilet that continued to flush nonstop. It just felt really gross and worn down. We didn't order food and opted for just watching the film. The sound felt like it could've been louder and felt muffled. For it being located in The Rim- a hot tourist spot- quality to the theatre could use some improvement. read more

We visited yesterday 1-31-2026 and ordered 2 plates of food. We received our food and our strips were burned. They smelled burned but I tried a bite anyway hoping they'd pass since our movie was going to be starting soon. They tasted burned. I returned them and asked for a new plate. I was told it would be 5 minutes but they took 20 minutes! We missed the beginning of the movie. No apologies or even acknowledgement of the long wait. Very frustrating. Hurts my heart to say this ... I have been a loyal Santikos customer for many years. I love going to the movies. I have been to many Santikos throughout San Antonio. Lately, I've begun to notice some things that really have dimmed the experience of going to Santikos, most recently Palladium in The Rim. Let me start by saying I understand the movie industry is hurting, especially since Covid. Unfortunately, I think that has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Folks don't go to a movie because of the lack of on-screen creativity and bang for the buck. So, prices have to go up and service quality goes down. The last straw came during the opening weekend of The Accountant 2. Matinee tickets now cost more than an evening show did just a few years ago. To get the seats we like, gotta do it online, which incurs a "convenience fee." On to concessions, a perennially overpriced area, Palladium has introduced the popcorn dispenser machine. This area, which without a doubt is going to be as messy as the condiment bar at Texas Stadium, is great if you like butter all the way through the popcorn or if you are one of those few who get a refill on the tub o' popcorn. However, for the rest of us who really like fresh popped corn in a bucket served up the way it's been done since the creation of movie theaters, it's not OK. But hey, "it's sanitary." It's sanitary as a teenager carries a plastic chafing dish against his belly to the refresh the dispenser. Sure. Then, if you like sharing popcorn with the fam without everyone's hands going into the tub, Santikos no longer offers paper boats. Now, it's a "cone," which is no larger than a paper cup for a sno-cone. Pointless! In addition, asking for the concessions manager resulted in the stare teens do when they check out of the conversation. All the managers we spoke with Friday said they were following orders. With one explaining that the new CEO has implemented a lot of changes. No critical thinking. No customer service. So Santikos, enjoy the $50.38 plus 700 Movie Rewards points for a popcorn we didn't need. Probably the last you'll get from us .... Generally, these changes have spilled over to The Mezz, the higher end lounge area upstairs at Palladium. Tickets are even more expensive for these seats in the back of the larger theaters and cozy, 18+ seats in smaller theaters. There's a bar up there, which I swear is making adult beverages without alcohol or very light pours. Patrons used to get free popcorn in The Mezz. Then it dropped to 50 cents off concession prices. Overall, the quality of everything has fallen at Santikos. It hurts my heart to say it .... Maybe Alamo Drafthouse still understands how important customers are and has tapped in to what moviegoers want read more

I love this theater! I like having access to the Mezz which is an 18 years old and older vip experience. The seats were comfortable, I just wish they were heated. You have access to a full menu of food and cocktails and to order you just have to press a button to ring for your server. I like not having to wait at the concession stands for my food. Wasn't really impressed with the layout of the place. I went to watch a IMAX movie I believe it was not a IMAX theater. The sound wasn't that great. The picture wasn't IMAX approval from me and I travel at a lot of places it wasn't impressed with the picture and sound good thing about it was you can refill popcorn and drinks. Not sure what's up with the staff here but they are the WORST! Had some goth lady at the bar serve me with crazy attitude plus the beer was warm. I would be better off driving a few more miles and going to embassy. At least there they smile and have less attitude. Plus the new point system SUCKS! Whoever made that decision should be fired!
