I loved the tapas experience here at Santiago's Bodega. I tried beef carpaccio for the first time and it was pretty decent. The chicken skewers were great. You really can't go wrong with Sangria. The sangria wasn't as amazing as some others I tried in town but it was still 8.7/10. I loved that it came in a big wine glass. The patio seating was excellent. The waitress was super nice (she's a Capricorn btw so excellent service lol) and we had an overall great experience.
Just went on a quick overnight trip with a friend a spur of the moment idea! We learned about Santiago's bodega. We decided to eat there for dinner we had made reservations. We came right on time and they seated us right away. We made our reservation for seven and it was on a weeknight. The crowd started coming in right after we got there. Just an FYI if you go maybe go early. Even though the place was full after a bit, it was not noisy at all. Our servers we had two were very attentive. We each had top us to share. We enjoyed the figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto. The figs were charred nicely and the prosciutto flavor had just seeped into the fig. I love that. Since it's a top of us restaurant we did share. We got a bowl of the lobster bisque as well, and I really liked how creamy and flavorful it was. Then we had the lamb. It was very tender lamb I was told it was sourced from New Zealand. They were lollipops sized lamb chops, and I could really taste the lamb flavor. The crust on the outside was wonderful, but it did not overpower the true meat flavor which I liked. We also shared their bread, pudding, which is a croissant puffy drizzle with caramel sauce in a scoop of good vanilla ice cream on the side. It was also delicious. I did not find the menu overpriced at all. Our appetite were fully satisfied and I will definitely go back there again. When is a Key West.
I had seen the reviews of this place and wasn't able to grab reservations three years ago, but was able to last week. I had never been to a tapas resturaunt before, so this was a little different for me. The waitress recommended that we order about 6 small plates to share, so we each chose a few, and ended up ordering seven. The dishes were brought out as they were done, and they started us off with the cold plates first. We started with the red sangria and they gave us some flat bread for the table. We had the Avacado & Pear salad, the Smoked Salmon with dill and capers, and the burrata with pesto. Then the hot plates came out. We had the beef tenderloin with blue cheese butter, the Saganaki, the shrimp with chorizo , and the bacon wrapped dates. We took home the flourless chocolate cake and that was a perfect ending to the meal. I loved it all, the dishes were great and we had a lovely time. This is a place I would come again and recommend to anyone, especially if you are staying near the Truman annex, it was a 7 minute walk from us.
Fabulous restaurant serving delicious tapas and also enjoyed a fresh salad. Dining area feels intimate and secluded. Tables felt a tad bit crowded together and so felt encouraged not to linger. Waitstaff were helpful with menu selection suggestions and were very welcoming. Would return again, preferably during a not-so-busy dine time.
Santiago's Bodega is a must if you are in Key West! Casual dining offering delicious fresh ingredients tapas & homemade Sangria. Delicious fresh Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche marinated in a spicy citrus juice. Wonderful savory Smoked Salmon Carpaccio served with Crostinis, crème fraiche & capers. Hubby couldn't believe Petite-Rack Lamb served as. Hot Tapas, succulent & cooked to perfection! Can't forget about the Cheese Plate of the Day, ours had various quality meats, cheeses & pate!
It our second time , the food is amazing, tapas concept but delicious. Yuliia was our waitress, super nice and profesional . It is amazing place . The bread pudín is something that you cannot forget yummy
Quick find.. didn't disappoint. Ordered a few plates along with a sangria drink. I will be back when I'm in beautiful Key West. I ordered the ceviche and apparently was the only picture I remembered to take.
Absolutely AWESOME! Yelp reviewers led us here checking out nearby restaurants as we were walking from Taylor State Park. A GREAT find. Got a table outside on front porch on a beautiful day. (Also hust happened to be happy hour with reduced prices on 5 selected items) We had the ahi tuna with chipotle lime marinade and cilantro siracha shrimp. VERY TASTY! Then we chose the trio hummus, garlic, roasted pepper and olive with right out of the oven pita bread. Mango quesadilla was another great choice. Oh yeah their homemade sangria was good and half price. Leena our waitress was extremely nice and answered all of our questions. The inside seemed like a nice vibe as well. Just a tad out of the way, unless you're coming from the park but well worth it!
Home run. If you enjoy tapas style, excellent food, you need to visit Santiago's. Service, food, drinks are top notch. Drinks limited to beer wine sangria so we enjoyed sangria. Must do if you're tapas style person and want high quality.
Absolutely LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. Food is incredible.Free standing building with a bit tricky parking,but worth a bit of effort. the moment u walk through the front door u will r welcomed to this cozy South American feeling place. The Food is phenomenal w at least 6 new items daily. The service is professional,& we're knowledgeable of the entire menu
Went for the stuffed dates. They are stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto!! Sooo good. Get them every time! I could eat a dozen. I recommend reservations especially from 5:00 on. I was by myself and luckily there was a seat at the bar. Staff acknowledged me and was totally attentive. I decided to try the ceviche- was fresh, cold, and had a great flavor. So much fish- I took half to go. Love this place! If you like a couple bites of this and a couple bites of that this is the place. Have never had a bad choice. AND they serve my flavor prosecco- LaMarca. Outside is lovely when its not 100 degrees!!
My husband and I went for happy hour and sat at the bar. We were very disappointed in the attention that we got from the bar staff when we're were ready to place our order. They almost made us feel like they didn't want to be bothered. We were finally able to get someone to take our order and I had a prickly pear margarita and my husband had an old fashion. Both were great! We then ordered the meatballs which were overcooked and dry. Very disappointing! ! We also had the short ribs and they were amazing. Will definitely give them another try. Maybe it was just an off day we hope!
Really fun tapas place tucked away from Duval street. French onion soup was the star of the show. Sangria was solid. Other honorable mentions include the burrata, meatballs, and the pear and avocado salad. Short ribs were amazing!!! But only came with 2, left me wanting so many more. Service was quick and friendly - no complaints!

Total Bill - $150 Worth going back? Maybe. We won't be back in key west. I'd rather spend this $150 on a lot of Kermit's key lime pie. Overall it was a lot of good ideas with no standout ideas. Santiago's is a beautiful restaurant with a comfortable, conversation generating environment. Red sangria - light and weather perfect. Not too sweet. Avocado and pear salad - the spicy greens need a heavier dressing, or use a less spicy green. It was just missing balance. The pear didn't kick as much acid as I'd hoped. I wouldn't jump to order it again. French onion soup- mild and complex flavors. Good and solid French onion with layered flavors. Would order it again. Would not come here just for this soup. Croquettes come as a two piece. Tasty but not as filling as you want them to be. Beef tenderloin is good if you enjoy grass fed beef. The ceviche took this from a 4 to a 3. It's ok. It's not thrilling. The saganaki was a nice fire show. Then it was fairly bland. The dessert was perfect. Get the bread pudding. You'll be happy. The service was impeccable. read more
A little off the beaten (Duval) track is this little gem of a tapas place. Delicious creative dishes in a well decorated little place. Recommended by friends who live in KW. We loved it. We had the Croquettas (nice), Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates (delish), Saganaki (yes, halloumi!), Spicy Shrimp Bisque (best in the world), Tuna Ceviche (delish), Beef Short Ribs (if you like teriyaki), Brussels sprouts (bit on the dry side). AMAZING! We ordered five dishes and each one was better than the last. Don't sleep on the short rib and the mushroom pastry. The beef carpaccio was incredibly fresh and delicious and the hummus trio was the best I've had. Their breads and pita are also extremely hot and fresh. We can't wait to go back. read more

We came for a mid afternoon meal of sangrias and some tapas. We ended up ordering a pitcher of red which was absolutely fantastic. It was made up with green apples, oranges, cinnamon. To pair with the drink we had a charcuterie plate made up of meats and a cheese plate. The meats were two itialian cuts one was a salami and the other ham- then there was a pate of pork/duck and a sausage of Chorizo with cranberries. There were also pepperoncini I and a grown caper which I've never seen before. It was a smaller version of the Pepperoncini but smaller and more mild. Then Kalamata olives and finally some mustard. The cubes board had three cheeses a soft, and hard and a blue cheese version a long with cranberries, nuts and grapes. So much for the tapas! Ha-never got to them. Quick, efficient service with very attentive staff members. Each dish was better than the next. The pear and arugula salad along with the ceviche are refreshing options on a hot summer day. The bruschetta was well toasted with great flavor. The shrimp and chorizo did not disappoint. read more
What an incredibly fun (and exquisite tasting) restaurant and dining experience! Came here on a recent Spring getaway trip and had heard wonderful things about the place. Reservations were hard to come by, but in a stroke of luck, a table opened up at 5:30 same-day and we jumped on it. Being we arrived during Happy Hour, we got right to it. We ordered a pitcher of red sangria, and quickly realized we were not going to be driving our car back to the hotel any time soon! Whoah...delicious, strong and a much bigger portion than we'd expected. But that's a good thing, right?!?!? We ordered in courses, which was a great way to spread out the meal and really enjoy each dish we tasted. First course was a salad, second included a few light tapas style options and lastly a few mains to top off the meal. The avocado and pear salad as a starter was a great way to ease into the experience...light dressing, fresh toppings on the mixed greens lettuce and a light dressing. Next up were the tapas dishes. We both loved the creamy smoked salmon spread and the grilled mushrooms plate had a lovely smokey quality to them. Finally, the heart of the meal...patatas bravas, shrimp and chorizo skewers and beef tenderloin with melted blue cheese on top. We potatoes had a spicy / zesty sauce on top that paired really well with the beef. The skewers were grilled giving a great charred flavor to both meats. But that beef tenderloin...holy cow (see what I did there?)...affirming why I am an omnivore. We fell in love with this dish and wish it would never end. Still having some sangria left in the pitcher after the third course meant no dessert, as we'd be drinking our dessert. ;-) After the meal we walked around the area, watching the chickens begin to roost in the adjoining property trees and basking in the glory that was a perfect meal. Santiagos Bodega is all around lovely. Tapas style dining with lots of small plates to share and a home made sangria that's sure to put you in the mood for more. The service is on point. We've visited Santiago's Bodega twice and both times it's been a great experience. As usual we will visit again next time we are in Key West. read more

If you like small plates this has the vibe, and the delivery. Tried the $5 specials for the days and were blown away by the garlic mushrooms! It seems so simple, but the dates stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto were excellent! The charcuterie board made me a duck pate lover! The sangria, red of course was good, shared a pitcher, but next time I'd get a glass of something red instead. We Lyfted over parking anywhere on the island is more than I care to experience, made our reservations a few weeks before we came and were glad we added it to our itinerary. read more

Amazing tapas place!!! We ordered 5 tapas and one salad for two people...it was too much, but I'm glad we tried it all. The pitcher of sparkling based sangria was great to split and plenty strong. :) The avocado pear salad was my favorite and HUGE for two people. The brussel sprouts were half burned, but we ate them anyways. The potato dishes, dates, and melted cheese/pita plates were all delicious. Pricing was great for such a nice atmosphere and compared to other places in KW. Definitely make reservations!! read more
What a GEM! Would not have found this little place if not for the Yelp reviews. Indoor & outdoor seating. Amazing food and small portions so you can savor many food offerings and not get too full. The two of us shared 4 tapas and it was perfection. Bathroom was clean and just for fun, I hid $5 in the drawer across from the toilet. Will see if it's still there if we go back before our visit is over. read more
This is my wife's favorite restaurant in Key West. Nice little tapas place. Started off with the burrata which is delicious. Kept it in the cheese family with the saganaki next. This is the best saganaki I've ever eaten and then ordered the meatballs, which actually played well with the saganaki. Patatas bravas are a nice compliment to the beef short ribs. Also ordered the puff pastries which were just okay. We didn't have dessert. read more

Amazing! One of the best meals from our trip to Key West. We came during their Happy Hour specials, which are offered daily from 3-6 pm. You can choose from a selection of 5 or 6 different tapa sized specials priced at the low price of $5. They also have half off glasses of sangria, which where absolutely delicious with real fruit pieces floating inside. The absolute standout happy hour special that was available when we were there was the bulgolgi beef skewers! I can't believe they were only $5. They were super delicious and we ended up ordering 3 extra orders. The calamari with sweet thai chili was also delicious. read more
A must visit while you are in town. Best tapas! We had pear avocado salad, Roman meatballs, Yellow fin ceviche, sliders, shrimp, Smoked Salmon Carpaccio and petite lamp chops. All was good, but skip sliders! They had happy hour, $5 tapas and 1/2 drinks. You must get Saganaki, haloumi cheese ! The wine list is extensive! Make reservations early. read more
I really like how Santiago's is a little tucked out of the way of the busyness of the Duval St area. From Duval it's a pleasant walk down a relatively quiet one way street. We entered the restaurant passing by the outdoor seating. The interior almost transported us elsewhere as soon as we walked in. It was easy to forget we were still in Key West. Once seated our server Luis was tableside almost immediately. He was everything you'd want for a server in a restaurant like this. Luis was helpful in walking us through the menu, friendly & patient in answering our questions. Now to the food... Following some of Luis' suggestions we went with the Avocado & Pear Salad, Spicy Shrimp Bisque, Chicken Skewers, Mozzarella Burrata & Portobello stuffed Puff Pastry. Splitting everything gave us the best opportunity to try more food! The salad was the perfect blend of greens, sweet and savory. The bisque lived up to its name & had a great little kick. The skewers were cooked to perfection so that they were nice & juicy (& omg, paired so well with that lemon-tarragon sauce!). Loved the creamy texture of the mozzarella with the tomatoes and pesto. Certainly not least, the puff pastry was so rich and flavorful. Highly recommend anyone looking for a quiet retreat, expert service & excellent food to check them out. read more

Great selections. They are busy!! Even for lunch so make a reservation otherwise you will eat outside. (Perfect for us.) I Started with the sparking sangria. I wanted one that wasn't sweet and this fit the request perfectly!! I asked the waiter about our selections and he knew about each one. Everything was prepared to perfection. For the cold tapas we enjoyed the yellowfin tuna ceviche - WOW!! All I can say is "YUM YUM". - that was followed by the cheese board. My husband really liked the fig / date jam. We were enjoying every bite!! For the warm tapas, we ordered the miniature quesadillas. They were crispier than expected but still good. The peach pineapple salsa add great flavors!! read more

Yet another incredible find in the city of Key West! You'll be glad you stopped here on your trip after getting the chance to try some of their phenomenal food choices. The staff here were very welcoming and had a wealth of knowledge in what makes their food special. During happy hour, you can try several different tapas for a reasonable price. Make sure you snag a sangria to complement the savoriness of your picks. You'll find the interior calm and romantic for a date, suitable for great conversation and plenty of laughs. This is a great place to hit up for Happy Hour and is off the beaten path (aka Duval Street proper). HH is everyday from 3-6 pm. Highly recommend going for their wines. The red sangria is good, but a bit too sweet for me. I enjoy just a good dry red and they have some really good options here! The HH menu is tapas style which is perfect for sharing or having for yourself. I got the Chicken Tacos, Herb Butter Mushrooms, and Smoked Salmon Dip. By far, my favorite was the Smoked Salmon Dip! So good and perfect to pair with a wine. Really balanced dip with a good amount of salmon and smokiness that is fantastic. The Chicken Tacos were good and simple. Pretty typical as you would expect, but did not shine as much as the Smoked Salmon Dip. The Herb Butter Mushroom was okay, but needed more salt. Other than that, pretty good and pairs well with the Chicken Tacos imo. Definitely go with wine and the Smoked Salmon Dip here! Oh, and service was good and attentive as well. Even the local roosters and chucks were making rounds often. read more

This is a little different from a regular dining experience, but nonetheless so enjoyable. My boyfriend ordered a beer, I believe I might have ordered wine or something to drink, and they tell you about the menu. Basically you get a couple of plates to share and that's how it goes. We got a few things, including the tuna (it was good it was just a lot and the chunks of tuna are a little big for our liking, we might just be picky), and the spicy chorizo and shrimp was to die for. Such simple things elevated to a whole new level. The service was great, she recommended plates to us and explained what they were like and what to expect. We sat outside next to a couple who was all the entertainment we needed! It was an amazing night. read more

The place was cute and dim lighted so it could be a nice spot for date night. The service was fast. They recommended us to get 5-6 dishes to share. - Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche: the fish was fresh but the dish overall was too sour for my liking. - Smoked salmon carpaccio: the fish was fresh, it was a solid dish - Shrimp and Chorizo: It was ok, not too special - Croquetta: Hot and yummy - Beef short ribs: It felt like an asian dish to me. The meat was soft and tender - Puff Pastry: surprisingly i enjoyed this the most. The pastry was hot and the filling was really tasty. Overall, I personally prefered the hot tapas. The experience was nice but not special enough for me to come back. read more

Fantastic hidden gem in Key West! If you're looking to get off the Duval Street crazy train for a night of high class, sophisticated dining, with absolutely delicious tapas - Santiago's is the place. Great food, nice wine and sangria, perfect service and a classy atmosphere. Enjoyed everything. We'll be back again. read more

Can you accommodate a party of 8? The reservation system only allows 6.
They are very small with a limited number of tables and space, a party of 8 would be difficult to seat but with significant notice (multiple days) and a phone call they probably could.

Yes, it is common for many restaurants in Key West to close during August/September for renovations/vacations etc as this is the slowest part of the year for tourism.
