Decided to get dinner before my flight here. It's located at Terminal 3, near gate F6. The beers and cocktails on the menu looked great but I didn't try any. I got the Sacred Stave burger without the bun, which was not bad considering the usual airport food. The burger is topped with onion rings, which were really crispy! SanTan Brewing is an amazing place in the valley. I have only had the chance to visit once, and now twice with this location. I visited this location while waiting for a flight to Seattle. I only stopped in for a beer. Their beer here is great. My favorite is the SanTan Epicenter. This beer is really smooth and hits perfectly with a nice finish. I also love their Mr. Pineapple and Sunspot Gold. Pretty much all of their beers are a solid bet when it comes to quality. Their service here is great. The server came over and was extremely friendly. I can always appreciate someone who can share some laughter. Overall SanTan is a GREAT place to grab a beer and some small bites. This location is AMAZING for those who want to take the edge off for a flight or grab a snack before leaving. I would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling through. read more

The patty was cooked to perfection, just the right amount of sauce, and arugula instead of iceberg is normally something I detest because that usually means they are adding "pretty" to deter from the monstrosity they place in front of you, however, the arugula, in this case it only added to the flavor! I recently stopped by San Tan at PHX for pre flight beer and snack. The location is in terminal 3 and was close to the gate making it a conveniently located source of cold refreshments....but good lord was the food awful! I'll start with the positives, cold beer and easy seating. That's basically it! Now for the not so good: 1. Service: it took at least 10 minutes to get noticed and given menus. The staff wasn't terrible but did lack any sense of urgency that most travelers require. We are not on unlimited time so please don't take 20 minutes plus to get a beer. Additionally, the server kept calling us kids and I'm in my 30s. It may seem stupid but I don't need an elderly airport employee calling me kid. 2. Food: I ordered the half sandwich half salad option and soon discovered to have made a critical mistake ordering it. The salad greens were fine but that was it. No cucumbers, carrots or anything else beyond micro diced tomatoes. Very boring, very bland, but that was the best part of the meal. The sandwich was absolutely terrible. It was served on a flat/pita bread style that tasted straight out of the bag with ZERO flavor. If you're going to serve a sandwich on this type of bread then it is mandatory it be toasted, grilled and buttered or something. It tasted like raw bread and was just nasty. Otherwise, just switch to regular bread and problem solved. Next, they use meat that looked like it was straight from the $.99 bargain meat section at the grocery store. Good deli meat is not expensive or hard to find and why they use this type is a mystery. It looked and tasted terrible. The last thing was they used the butt of the tomato with the stem still on it. That means someone sliced a tomato and consciously made our sandwich with the part of the tomato that even McDonalds doesn't use. Not good! In conclusion, come for cold beer which was solid but I left the expereince not even thinking of the brewery's beer but the terrible food they served us and the money they stole from us. read more

Man, the reviews of this place are harsh. It's an airport outpost and it just opened--give them a minute to work out the kinks, folks, before you tank their yelp rating. Not trying to devalue others' experiences, but people are too one star-happy on Yelp sometimes. I'll be honest, though: first impression wasn't great. Walked up at about 8:30am on a Sunday, looking to grab a drink (I hate flying!) and some food before my flight home from Phoenix. There was a hostess standing at the front of the establishment and as I approached, she turned away, went to show two other servers something on her phone, and never looked my way again. That put me off. But within a minute, one of the other servers noticed me and was very friendly. Sat at the bar. The gentleman serving was friendly and when I asked his advice for turning one of SanTan's meat-heavy breakfast options vegetarian, he was thoughtful and gave me his honest opinion. So I was sold: New Mexican skillet with no meat. Ordered that along with a 20oz Juicy Jack IPA, one of the many SanTan beers offered on draft. The beer was great and the food, when it came, was solidly good. Heavy, artery-clogging, sleep-inducing, and pretty tasty. My skillet and two beers--yeah, for breakfast, don't judge me--did come out to around $40 after tip. But it's an airport. That's sort of par for the course, and if you're going to eat at an airport, you have to just accept it. But I had good service, good food, and a couple REALLY good beers in a relaxed setting, and that's really all I need to help alleviate my flight stress I hope that, with time, SanTan will be able to work out the kinks others have experienced at this location--but which I was not privy to--because it's always nice to get some local (beer) flavor on your way out of town, and I would like to see them do well. read more

Christal told me a couple stories about her life in between what all she was doing and all, and she's a hoot. We had a great laugh and I wasn't going to order any food since I was in a hurry, but she swayed me and I don't regret it. When we finally got an employee to pay attention, she told us "oh yeah that thing doesn't work right" and walked off. Ok.... So we got the attention of one of the bartenders. He took our order with a scoff "because apparently he is very important and we wasted his time not using the QR code that "doesn't work " according to his coworker. Incredibly rude service. The gentleman told us to leave the table when we said we were doing water and food instead of beer. He intentionally ignored every attempt to get his attention, and when walked up to him to try to order a beverage he told us "we don't have that" and insisted we leave again. Luckily the manager came over, acknowledged the absurdity of the situation after we sat deliberately ignored for 30 minutes. She was a delight, but couldn't make up for his total disregard for common human courtesy. It was pretty shocking - I've never experienced anything quite like it, felt like a scene out of a movie. Food: I ate at SanTan Brewing just a few days after it opened in Terminal 3 at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Melt; the waitress was very accommodating in bringing me sauce on the side. The food was good, but not great, though that's somewhat to be expected from an airport restaurant. They had a pretty standard menu of burgers, sandwiches, personal pizzas, tacos and apps. An urgent managerial intervention is needed here before this location ruins a good breweries name. As a flight attendant I always try to support local, non-chain restaurants at airports. I thought the first bad experience was a fluke, but now I know it is not so I have to say something. This is my second visit here within a week and both times I visited the to go window. Visit number 1: I ordered the San Antonio Mac & cheese. I waited over 25 minutes for my food. During those 25 minutes I watched order after order coming out incorrect or missing items. When my food finally arrived, it was hot but there was no sign of the corn bread crust mentioned on the menu. Just a portion of Mac and cheese with a little bit of meat. Visit number 2: I ordered the Ricky Ricardo flatbread sandwich with Onion Rings. Service was faster this time but the food was nothing shy of ridiculous. On an what must be an 8" flatbread there were two minuscule pieces of ham and an incredibly small portion of pork. There were 5 onion rings that were completely over done, greasy and contained the thinest (almost non-existent) onions I have ever seen. I proceeded to ask the cashier if this looked like a normal sandwich to her and she told me that she doesn't have anything to do with serving food. I then went to the hostess stand at the restaurant and asked her. She took my container to her manager. When she came back she told me that her manager said "that's the way it comes but they added some more pork to make it better". They literally just plopped an extra 50 cent piece potion of greasy meat on the flatbread and gave it back to me. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. read more

Host greeted my party with attitude. We asked to be seated at a table with a view of the basketball game and then were seated in the only part of the restaurant without a view of a tv. We then asked a separate server if we could move tables and they said yes. After the fact the hostcame to our new table to confront us. I am extremely disappointed at the service of this brewery. I have been here a few times over the last few months and the service doesn't get better at all. Let me start by saying that I 100% respect social distancing but to place a Togo order we can't even wait inside the bar area and have to wait outside of the restaurant itself even if it's not busy is appalling. Another star was taken off for the fact that I wasn't greeted by anyone when I was there except to be told in the rudest tone that I was in the wrong line.
