She was right there with our waters, drink orders and dinner orders. The bacon burger was pretty good. The burger was hot and very juicy. It was cooked perfectly and it was very tasty. The fries were hot and they were lightly salted. I enjoyed my meal. She really liked her jalapeño chicken salad too. It was huge and she could not eat it all. I can't say enough good things about SanTan Distillery at the airport. We stopped in at Terminal F between gates F6 and F7 while traveling, and I have an extremely extensive list of food allergies and dietary restrictions that makes eating out--especially while traveling--very difficult. My restrictions include eggs, wheat/gluten, soy (including soy sauce, soybean oil, soy lecithin, etc.), peanuts, all tree nuts, sesame, canola oil, cod, shellfish, tallow, and proprietary natural flavors. I also have Alpha-gal syndrome, so I cannot have pork, beef, or lamb. Because of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), I also cannot have watermelon, mango, or onion. I explained all of this to the staff, including the importance of avoiding cross-contact, and they were incredibly understanding and accommodating. They took the time to listen, answer my questions, and work with me to find something I could safely eat. What really stood out was that I never felt like I was being difficult or an inconvenience. They took my restrictions seriously and genuinely cared about making sure I was comfortable. For someone with this many restrictions, that means a lot. Traveling and eating out can be stressful when you have to worry about every ingredient and how your food is prepared. The team at SanTan Distillery made that experience so much easier. Thank you to the entire SanTan Distillery team for taking such great care of me. Excellent service, great attitude, and most importantly, they made me feel safe and welcome. In the Delta terminal in Phoenix International airport. Impressive drink menu. I went with the chicken cesar salad. IlThe speed of of food to table was amazing. Our orders got to the table incredibly quick. The cesar was ok. It was actually under dressed which is fine, just make sure you get a side of cesar dressing to add as you like. The chicken was a little bland but fine for a pre-departure meal. My friend got a cheeseburger and loved it. Walk in to be seated sever screams no more patrons as being seated. The lil girl said she was the only waitress on the floor. Sat at the bar asked the bartender to wipe down the dirty space before ordering, she came back asked if I'd like a drink, still without wiping the dirty bar area. I order expecting that's what she was probably waiting for to do all in one swoop. Nope she proudly served me a drink in a dirty space. Clearly I wouldn't continue to order after experiencing such. I don't know what is the issue for such an experience but they need to get it the hell together this is pathetic and ridiculous and down right nasty. She eventually came 1-2 as I was done with my drink and wet a napkin and wipe the bar. I was about to check out and was about to use the bar code to pay the check but I noticed my order had additional $1 juice charges added so I asked for the check instead. Our server was relatively quick to take our order but after the food arrived and the restaurant got busier, the service slowed down quite a bit which was understandable given the line of people waiting to get in. My primary disappointment came with the food. There were not many vegetarian items on their lunch menu so I ordered the nachos without any added protein and pico de gallo on the side. I was super bummed when the nachos came out with only beans, beer cheese cheese, and a bit of sour cream and did not include the mixed cheese, jalapeños and green onions that were in the description. How unexpected for airport food! It also came with tasty rice and beans, and the portion was very generous. We walked around a bit before deciding where to get dinner. Got there 6 min before closing. Just about 7 people at the bar. The kitchen was already closed which was fine. I pulled up to the bar just for a drink but also got some fascinating conversations from the bartender and a guy sitting around the corner from me. I asked for a reddish beer recommendation from the bartender and he offered something they just started serving that he hadn't even tried yet - something slightly sweet due to the maple in it. Another patron raised his glass to confirm that it was delicious so I ordered one. It took me longer than 6 min to drink, I chatted with another patron who was fascinating while the bartender cleaned up. Fascinating people in this world and I was glad to have the opportunity to pause and pay attention. Thank you to the bar for letting us linger while you were closing up. With some time to kill before a red eye back home, I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and a Mr Pineapple wheat beer. Considering how busy the place was, service was remarkably efficient and polite. The sandwich was pretty good: the grilled chicken breast was dry but covered well with a nicely spicy sauce and melted mozzarella. The beer was sweet and refreshing. It's airport food at typically inflated airport prices. Given the options, you could do worse. read more

After visiting some friends in Arizona, me, my husband and our friends and their four year old daughter were flying back home to Vegas. It also happened to be right next to our gate. We walked in at 10:58am. It's super important to know that, and the reason I know that is because my friend made fun of me that it was almost time for me to eat brunch since I don't eat breakfast. We were seated and then the real trouble began... Charity was our server, and was without a doubt the worst, most unprofessional server I have ever had. I say this because I've worked in food, all my friends and my husband has worked in the industry, and I've just never seen anything like this before. My only regret is that I'm an extremely patient and understanding person, and it takes a lot for me to lose my cool, and unfortunately I did snap a lillll bit. She took our order and after a while of waiting for our food, we started noticing that everyone who sat down after us was getting their food. No big deal, maybe ours was backed up a bit. Then, it started to become more frequent, to the point where an order would come out and we would be like wait could this be it, and it would pass our table. Every time I tried to flag Charity down, she was very dismissive about it. "yeah yeah yeah it's coming i'm sorry"... lotssss of sorries, with absolutely no action behind them. At one point, she said "you guys are my top priority." HA! We kept asking though and flagging her down and every time she seemed irriated. At one point, she even came back over and blamed the kitchen (which I absolutely cannot stand when servers do that) and RETOOK our order... which was so weird to me. At one point I was laughing that the guy behind us in line was already eating his food at the table next to us and my friend goes "no Kayla, that guy already ate his food and left. That is an entirely different man." WHAT At one point my husband asked for a refill on his iced tea. I reminded her TWICE and then after 30 minutes... literally nothing. I got so frustrated I grabbed his cup and went up to the bar. I swear, even my friends were like who is this girl hahah I was irritated to say the least. I feel terrible, because I did snap a little at the girl at the bar but I didn't know what to do to get anyones attention. It felt like we were just completely being ignored. She said she was sorry and that they were very understaffed and I explained to her that this wasn't a staffing problem, because everyone else seemed to be getting taken care of except us. She was SOOO nice though so big hats off to her for being kind even when I was losing my temper. After a while, I finally flagged someone down again and asked for a manager. The manager was amazing and came over to ask us what was happening. At this point, it was nearly 12:30pm. She came back over and printed our ticket out and said the ticket for our food was put in at 12:02pm!!! WHATT?! Wild. She was super nice and said she was comping our entire meal which was so kind of her. And then we asked if we could just box it up because our flight was about to board. This is the kicker right here... Charity came BACK to our table after the manager left and I couldn't even believe what I was hearing. She told us that it wasn't her fault and it was the kitchen's fault and we told on her to her manager and now she was getting written up for something that wasn't her fault. My jaw must have hit the floor. I've NEVER had a server blame me for them not doing their job.... it was INSANE. I'm pretty sure my response was "um it wasn't MY FAULT so BYE" We of course called the manager back over and Charity stood right next to her (weird...) while we told her that we didn't appreciate being blamed for her getting written up. She had the audacity to say "that's not what I said." I literally just started laughing. Were we being punked? It was the most wild experience. She eventually left and the manager once again was so kind and smoothed everything over. Shoutout to the girl at the bar and the manager, who were AMAZING and so kind and understanding. Like I said, I'm a pretty patient and understanding person. Even if she forgot to put our food order in and came over and told us there was a mistake, I wouldn't have been upset. It was the blatant disregard and acting like we were an inconvenience every time we asked where our food was after waiting nearly 2 hours for it. The icing on the cake is that when our food was brought out, mine was missing hahaha. I did eventually get the right order right before we walked out, but this was without a doubt the most miserable and awful dining experience I've ever had in my entire life. read more
