I think this place is relatively new to Fargo. I could be wrong, but I don't remember it being here when we visited Fargo 3 years ago. We noticed it yesterday as we were walking down the street and the donuts just all looked so amazing that we knew we wanted to wake up early to get some on our way out of town. We arrived at exactly 6:30 am, just as they were opening up. Soooo many donuts to choose from! I had a difficult time deciding, but settled on a old fashioned sour cream donut. I like to keep it simple. It was the right choice. A bit crisp and glazed on the outside and moist on the inside, just wanted I wanted. Others in my party got ones with peanut butter cream and chocolate icing, which I tasted and they were also amazing. I was especially impressed with the peanut butter cream filling. It was really peanut buttery! The inside of the small shop is contemporary with funky colored lighting and has plenty of tables and chairs so you can eat here or carry out. Every donut outside of Sandy's Donuts just doesn't live up to my donut expectations. Sandy's has been a Fargo staple since I was a kid. I always looked forward to church because it meant Sandy's Donuts after the service when I was little. I loved Friday's at school because homeroom treats were typically Sandy's Donuts. It's the only bakery in town worth driving out of the way for. I would call these traditional donuts, not wacky flavors that hipster donut shops sell. One time I at three dozen on a family vacation. I've never been so disappointed in a place of business, especially one that I frequented often as a college student and enjoyed stopping at whenever I came back up to the FM area. I hosted a bachelorette party this past weekend in Moorhead and ordered 15 custom letter donuts for the bride-to-be. I ordered over the phone and specified 3 different times that I wanted to pick them up at the Broadway location in downtown Fargo. At 10am on Saturday morning, I arrived to pick up my order. To my disappointment and surprise, the donuts were not there & instead were at the Osgood location in South Fargo, a 20 minute drive. We had already driven 20 minutes to the Broadway location, so this turned what should've been a 40 minute round trip into over an 80 minute round trip. No manager was available for me to speak to at the pickup location. They did not offer to have the donuts delivered to Broadway, which would have saved me at least 20 minutes. I was almost an hour late to the bachelorette party that I WAS HOSTING. I requested a call back and full refund for the inconvenience and bad customer service. When the manager called me back, she offered me a 15 percent off discount. When I told her I was not okay with that and wanted the full refund, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I am sad to say I will not be ordering from Sandy's again. read more

The parking can be a bit frustrating or tricky, being downtown, but the shop itself is around a lot of interesting boutiques and shops!
