Their baked goods, especially the cookies, have always been great on any of my purchases at various markets or via local shops. We stopped in the store today to pick up lunch. The soup & sandwich combo at $8 was a good value considering the taste, quality and how full we felt afterwards. The sandwiches are in a refrigerator at the front of the store (two Turkey and two Ham options today). Keep in mind that this is not really a place to sit down and eat. However there is a small counter with a few stools, so you could sit if you like.

When we lived in Fargo, we were only able to get these delicious baked goods at farmers market's or craft shows, so I was delighted to see their business has grown to where they opened their own bakery. Now when we visit family, we can take home these goods to eat later. They freeze very well. They also make italian breads, croissants, and bars. The cookies are 2 - 3 times bigger than your average home baked cookie.

It may have been called Icelandic rye bread. Or Icelandic dark bread. I'm not sure but it should be easy to figure out. I love walking into bread shops because the aroma of sweet and yeast assaults your senses in the most delightful way. Breadsmith has a lovely little tasting area in the front. And offers about two or three different kinds of breads. There is a Specialties table. When I was visiting they had a grouping of different types of cookies. They also have a offering of jams jellies and mustard. Everything you need to elevate your bread. The back wall is filled with loaves of every shape and size. Muffins, cookies, and all sorts of handheld goodies. I tried the Bostock. It is a elevated crunchy French toast. It's a piece of brioche bread that is dredged and coded in an amazing almond slivered topping. I believe it may have been adhere to the bread with marzipan. At least that's the traditional recipe. The Almond topping with light and Chris and had a very distinct lemon accent. It was Pure Heaven. Rich buttery crispy sweet.

They were sampling breads and their breads are behind a so called fence. I tried beer cheese bread. This might have been better hot or toasted. I also tried King Cake or bread. Their version was a cinnomin type of bread. I bought a loaf and the girl gave me the tiny plastic baby separately. The place is similar to Great Harvest. We were in the area shopping at thrift stores and killed time by stopping in. Review 19 in 2023.
