She had a bite and instantly started vomiting and went into anaphylactic shock. I tasted the cookie and it was for sure a peanut butter base with chocolate chips. The cookies taste great, but we will never return, as the allergic reaction could have been prevented if the cookie was labeled properly. Please consider a different labeling system. Maybe someone moved the cookie to the wrong spot? Just very disappointed.

When I walked in here and saw the husband and wife (presumably) working feverishly behind the counter, and a young daughter running back and forth following assigned chores, I immediately knew this was a place I wanted to give my business. I love the effort, and it shows through what they sell. I bet they had at least a dozen types of cookies sitting out, and it was tempting to try a handful or more rather than one, max two (which is what I SHOULD stick to). I tried a ginger cookie and loved it. We also got a cheese garlic bread which was soft, gooey, and wonderful. Then, there were all the other things they had- cake pops, croissants, and other breads. And also soups and sandwiches. I'm not sure if they rotate what they make or if it's consistent, but either way I definitely want to come back and support such a humble business. Major props!

We ordered a couple donuts and an espresso. My son enjoyed the cinnamon sugar and maple. We liked how much icing they put on the donuts. Didn't love the espresso - I'll probably try the regular coffee next time. I was about to order the cream filled donut but someone grabbed it next to me and that was the last one. I'll have to try it next time too! Free street parking. Super friendly staff!

Everything also looks so good on their social media posts. Today I bought a butterscotch scone, a pistachio dipped cookie and a big cinnamon twist thing. The scone itself was pretty substantial too and tasted great. Not only did these taste great, but I found it to be a good value too. I paid somewhere between $10-$11 for the three of them and it would have probably been more like $15 when thinking of other places I get pastries. Also, the service was very friendly. I signed up for their customer program, which the owner let me know was going to knock $5 off my sale total, but I told her to save it for later. In recent years, I find myself not using the punch cards or freebies as much for these small biz, as I sometimes feel like I'm taking $ out of their pockets and it's not like those programs are the carrot to get me there. The carrot is the good tasting products and my desire to support the local small biz entrepreneur.

I fell into the latter category. I'd sampled the donuts and cinnamon rolls before but had never actually visited a physical location. The South Fargo store happened to be on my route out of town, so of course I had to stop for a donut and a cup of coffee. I also had the opportunity to introduce a first-timer to Fargo to this awesomeness. It was Teacher Appreciation Week, so selections were a little slim by late morning, but they were still sufficiently stocked. I sampled the "Churro" donut, while my partner found one featuring their two favorite things: chocolate and peanut butter. Both were delicious, and the coffee definitely put a spring in our step. Go get some.

This is somewhere I love to take people who haven't been to Fargo much. It's something that most all people can enjoy, plus the shop is super cute. It's in a newly modernized alley of downtown called Robert's Alley, which can be confusing to find until you are a little more familiar with the area. I think there is maybe a parking garage nearby but your best option is to just park along the street or somewhere downtown and walk. You can only get to Scoop N Dough by walking, biking, or other non-motorized vehicular routes. Though the experience of cookie dough & ice cream is great, I do think it's pretty extravagant. The cookie dough is incredibly sweet and rich, and I can never finish my cup because it almost makes my stomach hurt, it's just too much for me. So that's just a warning- it still tastes fantastic and is fun to try at least once. And I did see they are getting another location along 32nd Ave, almost in West Fargo, which is cool!

The flavored popcorn is a nice addition as well. If you are not familiar with the area, the entrance is located in the alley, not far off of 2nd Ave N.
