I am visiting my Mom in town, my Mom loves this place. We start walking towards the shop and there's a gal with an insomnia cookies polo smoking a cigarette by the entrance. We r not smokers and don't like being around smoke. She was polite with a delightful demeanor and said she would be right with us. She said 2 of the options we wanted were not available. 'They just got a new shipment & she didn't have time to unload them yet' (yet she had time to smoke a cigarette) She said it would take 6 minutes for the brownies to be done... she was smart enough to give my Moms brownie and ice cream first while we wait for the brownies. I sat there and waited about 10 minutes while she was in the back the whole time.. no update..then a crowd came in and she helped about 6 more people which took another 10 minutes.. Then a lady asked for one of the cookies I asked for which she said was unavailable... but the worker told the lady it would be a 20 minute wait, so after she was finished helping that lady and was on her way to the back, I asked if she could add one for me too. She said 'exchange it with a brownie?' I said 'no, just add it'. She asked me again and I said it again.. seemed like she was trying to get out of doing more work. I waited another 15 minutes & by this time my Mom was finished with her brownie for 10 minutes.. the worker was in the back and two more workers just got there so they were telling each other about the day... she finally came out with my brownies 30 minutes after we had ordered to tell give them to us. I had to remind her I hadn't paid for the cookie yet.. she politely rang me up and gave me the receipts as requested. I really didn't like the lack of communication. Maybe they were short staffed.. I won't be going back there even if my Mom wants to. Bad taste in my moth before I even got a chance to try their product. I'm saving it for when I go home. read more

Experienced terrible customer service here. First experience with this business so we were a little unsure as to how to order, after about a minute of looking at our options when the employee (Adonai) snapped at us what do we want, so we started to pick out our cookies for the 1/2 dozen box when he snapped again that those cookies aren't part of the box of 6 we selected, and asked, "can't you read the menu board?" Then, without letting us change our selection now that we've realized our error he just slams our cookies in the box and rings us up, so we aren't even sure how we were charged or why we couldn't pick certain cookies. This was months ago but placed a delivery order and got a text that the store had no available drivers and there was only one person working. They offered to drop off the order themselves after the store was closed??? I said I can't make you do that, showed up to pick up the order and had the delivery charge removed. Really cool to see someone willing to go above and beyond expectations though. Every time I get an order here it's good. Fairly pricy, but I've never had an order messed up. My husband and I both loved this place - talk about a great idea for a business! I got a chocolate smores cookie which was amazing and gooey and warm and he got "superman" ice cream. He never did tell me what flavor it actually was, but it was extremely brightly colored and he very much enjoyed it. I placed my order online at 1:00 p.m. and selected 2:00 p.m. delivery time. They were delivered at 2:40, and the delivery driver informed me that she had three other deliveries before mine. To be honest, I feel dumb even writing a review and complaining (first world problems, am I right?) but when your business model is about delivering fresh warm cookies...you should be able to do that...right? I really wish I didn't waste my money. The cookies were okay, nothing special. I would recommend the peanut butter chip if you're a peanut butter lover. Note: I also called the corporate line to voice a complaint and they offered me a 10% discount. Better than nothing! And if you do run into this problem, I learned that you can call 1-877-63-cookie if you decide that it's taking too long and you need to cancel. I honestly couldn't find a phone number to even check on my order, so apparently that's their only phone number. read more

I have parked in front of this store a handful of times over the last couple months. The handicap spot here is easy for me to load and unload. From here I go somewhere for lunch. Have never gone inside Insomnia. Today while loading in my pickup an employee came out and handed me two warm fresh-baked pumpkin cookies for free. They were delicious. She said, "I see you park here all of the time but you never come in. Have these." I am usually not a cookie or sweets fan, but I will for sure be stopping here and buying something for the ride home next time. I can't believe it. I'm posting a bad comment about ice cream! How can you screw up ice cream? Specifically, Insomnia Cookies' Pecan Praline. The sugary and overly sweet vanilla ice cream base was smooth and creamy. It was so sweet that it was impossible to enjoy any additional toppings or even imagine any sweet toppings being added. For the first time in my life I couldn't eat ice cream. Moreover, the first two bites only revealed several crunchy, sickly sweet balls of I still don't know what. I did encounter one broken off piece of pecan coated in more crunchy sugar. I couldn't go on as nausea started to roll over me. I put the ice cream in a strainer to try to figure out the toppings. In the entire pint I found about 1/4 cup of crusty balls and a piece of pecan. $12.95 BUT delivered hella quick to my apartment. Maybe next time I'll get chocolate sans toppings. read more
