Scoop N Dough is such a fun addition to downtown Fargo! Cookie dough and ice cream, you just can't go wrong with that pairing! This is somewhere I love to take people who haven't been to Fargo much. It's something that most all people can enjoy, plus the shop is super cute. It's in a newly modernized alley of downtown called Robert's Alley, which can be confusing to find until you are a little more familiar with the area. I think there is maybe a parking garage nearby but your best option is to just park along the street or somewhere downtown and walk. You can only get to Scoop N Dough by walking, biking, or other non-motorized vehicular routes. Though the experience of cookie dough & ice cream is great, I do think it's pretty extravagant. The cookie dough is incredibly sweet and rich, and I can never finish my cup because it almost makes my stomach hurt, it's just too much for me. So that's just a warning- it still tastes fantastic and is fun to try at least once. And I did see they are getting another location along 32nd Ave, almost in West Fargo, which is cool! read more

Great selection of both the cookie doughs and the hard serve ice cream. You will have a difficult time choosing, but this makes it enticing to make several visits in the near future. The flavored popcorn is a nice addition as well. If you are not familiar with the area, the entrance is located in the alley, not far off of 2nd Ave N. This is an excellent addition to downtown Fargo. For these warmer months, their outside "wall" is an overhead door that opens up into the alley, with some additional seating. read more

Went to the Boiler Room for dinner beforehand but knew instantly we would have to come get ice cream or cookie dough at the scoop n dough! From the outside looking in, the cutest inviting little ice cream shop! When you get in, it just gets better :) all sorts of options from cookie dough, ice cream, shakes, and popcorn! How could it possibly get better? I ended up getting a small monster cookie dough which was, oh my goodness delicious! My friend got the cookie jar which was any three cookie doughs in which he chose the monster cookie, snickerdoodle, and funfetti which were all equally scrumptious! The only downside is that the flavors are very limited with very limited seating as well which can be challenging for bigger crowds. Location is in a random alley as well with the saving grace of being right next to the parking ramp. read more

Cute spot serving edible cookie dough, ice cream, and popcorn. They carry a vegan chocolate chip dough and usually a vegan popcorn, too. The seating is very limited and it can get pretty crowded, so it's best to grab and go. When it's warm out, expect a long line. Also, I appreciate that this place is open late! There aren't many spots in Fargo that are open late and aren't a bar. Plus, the staff are always friendly. read more

Let me preface this review with the fact that I'm not an ice cream lover, ghasp! How could I be reviewing an ice cream joint and giving it five stars??? It's all about the dough(I believe they had six different types)! I died and went to cookie dough heaven so much so that I went the two days that I was visiting Fargo. It's tucked in a quaint alley, I had to ask some locals where to find it and the walking in circles was SO entirely worth it. You can get ice cream, ice cream and cookie dough, cookie dough, popcorn, or all of the above! Each time I opted for a scoop of dough (okay maybe two scoops the first day) and a scoop of ice cream. The gentleman behind the counter helped me the first time and suggested I get vanilla ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, and peanut butter cookie dough. Drool. I dreamt about that all night which is what prompted me to return the next afternoon. This time I settled for one scoop of dough and one scoop of ice cream. I somehow couldn't justify six scoops of sugary goodness in less than 24 hours. The place is small and there was a line each time but they're very efficient and the wait was minimal. They have a few tables inside and a table or two outside in the alley way where you can watch people on a nice summer afternoon or evening. If I didn't live two plane flights away from this place I'd be in serious danger. read more

I tried to go here over the weekend. After going around the block 3 times, I finally figured out approximately where the shop was located (nav in my rental car was not super helpful). Unfortunately I could not get to the store because there was a photographer in the alley shooting a huge family. After being frustrated about the bad signage and weird location (and the silly family that would not move for me) I decided to skip getting ice cream. Seriously better signage is needed for this shop. A sign with an arrow would be helpful for those not on foot trying to get to your store. read more

I love cookie dough. I've tried a lotta cookie dough. This is by far the best cookie dough I've had thus far. So sad it's so far from the Twin Cities!! Went there with my girls and it was small & cute inside. We ordered a small in the s'mores dough and a Large in the basic cookie dough. All I can say was it was viciously good. We loved it but next time we'll stick to a small or medium. Thank God they provided water. We needed to drink it while devouring our cookie dough. Love the style of this place. The cookie dough was great but ice cream with it is highly recommended. They should start selling milk with there cookie dough also. It was sort of dry or maybe cause I was expecting it to be more moist. I sampled 3 of the flavors without ice cream and my wife had the mike shake. It was good but really thick. The value and quality is great and we will definitely go back. I would also recommend they put the ice cream descriptions down besides the name.
