Best place for coffee and pastries! I love all the scone and poptart flavors! The blueberry latte in summer is incredibly refreshing!

Funky! Moonrise Cafe offers all the classic espresso drinks served in an intimate setting. The best way I can describe the atmosphere is funky, artsy and hipster with a modernized twist. There is decent seating, complimentary WiFi and a few breakfast items. In addition, there are lovely heart shaped cakes which I believe you can pre-purchase or get slices of in house. Yelp should serve you up this place first as best coffee shop in Fargo. It's hip but not in an annoying way, super cozy and the staff is sweet. The Wild Berry Pop Tart is INSANE and the savory breakfast burritos looked so good I almost ordered two breakfasts. Any and every town would be lucky to have a coffee shop like this one. read more

I had a premade ham and fig focaccia sandwich, husband had a chorizo burrito. We got a GF peanut butter chocolate chip cookie(the size of your head) and a massive blueberry pistachio muffin. They were all incredible, huge, and filling, and reasonably priced. Also got a hot Americano and an iced americano with vanilla cold foam. Coffee was not my favorite but it was fine. Service was excellent and the cafe was cute. Parking was easy for being a downtown location. 10/10 stop for food and baked goods. read more

The lattes were excellent. I was nervous trying a blueberry latte, but omgosh so glad I did. It wasn't too over powering and the flavors blended well together. My husband had the brown sugar cinnamon latte iced and that was great too! We shared a chipotle bacon breakfast burrito that was excellent. I really enjoyed this beautiful gem of a coffee house! The architecture of the older building creates this amazing coffee shop vibe, the barista was awesome and created a great handcrafted matcha to match the vibe, and enjoyed a delicious slice of cheesecake to enjoy for later. Had an overnight in downtown Fargo and went to Moonrise Cafe upon a local recommendation for a breakfast burrito. It was SO great. A vegetarian burrito - served hot. I live in Southern California, so, well, kinda saying I know good Mexican food. This was so great and so much better than I thought it would be. Aside from that, great coffee, a fun bustling place. Such a cute spot! Love the plants and lighting. Coffee was great, so were the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Staff were very kind and service was fast even though it was pretty busy when we came in. This seems like a great spot to study or work in and I wish I'd had more time to sit. I'm really liking the new Moonrise Cafe in this spot on Broadway that has had a couple of coffee shops over the past decades (formerly Third Drop Coffee, Moxie Java). The lighting, decor and music give this more of a warm and casual vibe. While I'll my drinks have been good, I probably most enjoy the food items. Their pastry case is wonderful, especially their pop-tarts and cookies (peanut butter chocolate oatmeal is great). Their cakes are very good too as the biz somewhat started out as a custom cake biz (Heart Cakes). Aside from the PBC Oatmeal cookie, my most consistent go-to has been the Bacon, Egg & Cheddar sandwich. read more

The service and coffee at Moonrise are really good however the prices for the food really don't justify the quality, unfortunately. I paid $6 for a plain bagel and cream cheese and got an over toasted burnt bagel with hardly any cream cheese on it. I also ordered the coffee which was really good and flavorful. The staff at the counter were nice and able to answer all my questions about the food and coffee! I think if you're just going for a coffee it's fine but I wish they had better food options as there wasn't much to choose from and the quality could've been much better. read more

Wow! Glad we finally made it to Moonrise and we will certainly be back soon. Loved having more than one vegetarian food option to choose from and our sandwich and burrito were super yummy! Ok, I admit. Others' reviews of the pop tarts brought me in here. But then---a surprise yum. I had the vegetarian breakfast burrito with the lime chipotle sauce. I don't think I've had a breakfast burrito with sauce on the inside before. The sauce was a wonderful complement to the eggs and veggies and contrasted wonderfully with the cheese. I've got mixed thoughts on my decision to save the pop tart until after I got back to my home in Oregon later that day. Mainly because OMG it was amazing and I wished I bought more. But then my diet says it's a good thing you only got one. So wonderful. Thank you Moonrise! read more

This is a cute cafe in downtown Fargo. My daughter and I had the Chorizo breakfast burrito along with a Chai Tea and Iced Mocha. Everything was delicious including the salsa served with the burrito. Recommend the place if you're looking for a quick breakfast before touring the downtown area. Two thumbs up! read more

I'm going to be honest here to the fullest. I come here for one thing and this one thing makes this coffer shop my favorite in fargo. And that thing is their personal grilled cheese. I've had this grilled cheese about 6-8 times already as it's my one stop shop whenever I'm craving something simple and easy. But I today found out that my Grilled Cheese Pesto was not only downsized, but ruined by anything less of what people would call shrinkflation. It went for what have been a perfect meal with a size that would have filled anyone with bread that was delectable, to a measly piece of a white depressing slice of sadness. Not only that but when I looked in for the taste of just a perfect hint of pesto, it was just not there. They have bamboozled me into just giving me a middle of the road Grilled cheese. And even worse, it was for the same price. I WANT RETRIBUTION. Please, for all the sandwich enthusiasts like myself, make the change back and make us happy!
