Ice coffee at Youngblood Coffee in Fargo
Bruce K.

Starting off this Saturday morning with an hour here at Youngbood and an ice coffee while figuring out how I'm going to explore Fargo. I got here early so there was plenty of street parking though the locals are closing off this particular street for a farmer's market. Coffee was delicious and the music was excellent (not loud!) and I had a pleasant first experience with Fargo. [Review 20759 overall - 118 in North Dakota - 1741 of 2023.]

Brown Sugar Latte

When walking around the neighborhood, I knew I wanted coffee. But this was my first time in Fargo and had no idea which coffee shop was good. So I just randomly picked the one that had the most people sitting around. It seemed like a popular spot, so I decided to try it out. When I walked in, there was a really cool/hip vibe. There was ample seating with lots of young people sitting & chatting, some were on their computers. When I looked at the menu, I was immediately drawn to their Brown Sugar Latte. This was something that looked pretty unique to this spot. So, I ordered right away. When I got my iced coffee and took my first sip, I loved it. The Brown Sugar Latte had the perfect amount of sugar/milk/coffee combo (in my opinion). I tend to like my coffees with milk and sugar, so this really hit the spot for me. There was no need to add anything extra - it was great the way it was. You can really taste the brown sugar flavor, which was an extra thumbs up. It was perfectly iced for my walk out into the heat. The cashier was also really friendly. Nothing but great things to say about my first visit.

They have amazing coffee. I'm particular about my coffee beans and found a premium blend in this cozy nook located in the heart of Fargo. It was a tad overpriced but was worth it. The staff was very helpful and friendly!

Cool vibe, great coffee, nice experience. I had the Kenya drip coffee which was right on... my wife loved her latte. The atmosphere consisted of one of the baristas DJ's to vinyl and people either conversing or working. It had more energy than most coffee shops where the music is muted and not the main attraction. The staff was really helpful especially when I was trying to pick out a bag of beans as a gift.

I'm honestly always skeptical of coffeeshops that have a solid 5 star rating on Yelp. Like, how good can this possibly be? The answer is, SO good! Stopped by Youngblood on my way to the airport for an iced Brown Sugar Latte, as recomended by others. I was jazzed out on caffeine and blown away by the amount of flavor packed into my cup. Service was great. The interior is super cute. Would love to spend a few hours working from here someday. All in all, the solid 5 star rating is well-deserved!

While exploring Fargo we stopped at Young Blood Coffee Roasters. It is a cute, hipster coffee shop in downtown that plays eclectic music and has basic industrial decor. The staff was very friendly and offered up numerous suggestions of places for us to explore while in Fargo. They are also taking COVID-19 very seriously, socially distancing, wearing masks, and removing tables. Oh yeah, and the drinks are tasty too!

We kicked our day off here with some carryout coffee before hitting the road for Montana. First off, I want to give them kudos for their safety precautions during COVID19. I imagine it's not easy especially in a smaller town to hold firm on these values and practices. Young Blood Coffee is both hip and delicious. We followed the Yelp review recommendations and ordered brown sugar lattes (mine with oat milk). It was smooth and packed with subtle flavor to the last drop. They also had an impressive lineup of teas, nitro cold brew and sweet and savory toasts. For the time being, they've removed all indoor seating and placed tables and chairs on the front sidewalk. A delightful start to the day!

Really cool coffee shop. Our experience was limited due to covid, but we were very pleased by the signage and follow through that the establishment was taking the virus seriously. The coffee was great. I had a vanilla latte and really liked the roast. If you want overly sweet, this isn't for you. I enjoyed the flavors. The inside was really cool with a great record selection for music. And the staff was super friendly.

The fact I have now been here three times in my week stay speaks for itself. :) it is downtown Fargo which I love sitting and watching things around me. They don't have a big menu, but I did have a Sandy's doughnut, but I also don't think they need one. The staff are the nicest people ever. Every time I was there they asked I am doing and if I have any plans. I tried the salted pistachio latte which was so smooth and good! Non-coffee golden milk latte, I like but it does have a little zing to it it, and chai tea..amazing! I will go there again.

Often time in places like New York City you find very cool coffee shops, but Young Blood can easily go against any of them. Young Blood was sparkling clean. They had their town roaster in the store along with bags off coffee beans. I order the flat white - it did have a slight bitter taste to it but overall I think this coffee shop stands out.

Miel & Macchiato (traditional)

California Dreaming on a North Dakota day. Woke up this morning to hotel coffee. Quickly decided against it and began my search. The Yelposphere once more pulled through. The promise of a "traditional" macchiato had me excited and skeptical. We decided that the worst thing that could happen would be drinking hotel coffee, which is actually worse than no coffee... off we went. It was easy to spot, even without large storefront signage. A couple of bistro chairs dot the sidewalk. The real giveaway was the herd of zombies going in and the smiling faces coming out. We circled and parked about a block away, our usual plan of attack. When strolling up the sidewalk, the aroma met us before the visual. We followed our noses. There was a line of over half a dozen people. It moved quickly. People knew what they wanted, ordered, paid and stepped aside. Our turn came quickly. The hubs ordered a honey miel and I a macchiato. The gal paused, looked up and went right into action explaining that they do a traditional macchiato (tiny cup) and not what we might be used to. She held her breath. I said "that's why we're here" - she smiled, nodded and said "good, good" & that was that. Then we added avocados toast, because... avocados. We paid, gave our name and stepped aside. The had quite the system in place and it ran like a well oiled machine. Both drinks were on point. We appreciated the same flavor from start to finish (no syrupy residue to finish). The bread really is delish - crispy outside and soft inside. I honestly would have skipped it with toast as the main breakfast item, had I been looking for food and coffee. That would have been a mistake. I'd lose the sofas for additional seating, as they had quite the crowd wanting seats. Then again, perhaps it deters loitering for hours on end... For the record, I've now given 2 coffee shops within minutes of each other 5 stars & I don't like to give 5 stars. Way to step up your coffee game Fargo. No more hotel coffee for me! Edit: would also like to see paper straws : /

Was visiting this past week. I just had a medium roast house coffee. Best cup I can remember having. BTW I am 73.

Really friendly service, excellent coffee, and a cool spot to chill. Try the Nitro Oat Latte, it's amazing! I've never had anything like it.

They take time making your coffee, carefully crafted and made deliciously. But it doesnt take a long wait. Only a good 5 minutes and it is done. I ordered one of their Seasonal Drinks, the Elmer Fudd. A hint of carrot mixed in with a taste of maple cinnamon. Was not overloaded with sugar. More coffee than ice, which felt worth the $7 price. Overall, I definitely recommend. This location has a drive thru so next time I will definitely come through here but from the looks only 2 cars can fit in the drive thru without causing any traffic.

My normal coffee drink is black, drip coffee but Thunder always has great seasonal drinks, so I usually look to try each of those at least one time. A couple of other things of note. They recently added more seating in the coffee shop area, in addition to the ample seating you'll find throughout Brewhalla. Also, they have a drive-thru which seems to be a rarity for any coffee in the downtown vicinity. With many people taking 1st Ave N to get to work each morning downtown, if you are not aware of their drive-thru, I hope this review helps you realize that.
