It's nice to have variety when it comes to coffee shops. Each business has it's own unique mission model. But, parking can be an issue. Great scones.

The coffee here doesn't just give me energy, it restores my will to live. Plus the cute little mini donut on top of the cup is awesome.

The glazed homer...my all time favorite donut, was right on par with other homers I have had around the US and it was right on 9 out 10 for me. But if you want something truly special get the caramel rolls, there is a reason they sell out in a couple hours if you don't get there early. I didn't get any the first day we were in Fargo so I had to try again the second day, and YES they are the real deal at Sandy's. Perfectly gooey, sweet, and warm...pure comfort for my soul!

*Long read* Last…read moreWednesday morning, I decided to stop in at their 45th street south Fargo store and purchase 2 dozen donuts. The place was nice but very, very empty...of donuts that is. It was 9AM and I believe the store opened at 6AM. To say I was surprised on how empty their shelves were would be an understatement. I would estimate that 95% to 98% of their products (Donuts) were gone. When the employee behind the counter saw my disbelief on how minimal the options left on their shelves were they stated that it had been a very busy morning. I agreed and asked if they were going to be restocking the shelves again with more donuts. They informed me they were not going to and that they were going to sell what was remaining. Keep in mind, this store was going to be open for another 4 1/2 hours with little to no product (donuts) left on the shelves. I truly felt bad for the employees, as they were going to be the ones forced to deal with customers, not only those walking into the store but going through the drive-through only to be informed that they had little to no product left to sell. I can't imagine the amount of annoyance and probably disrespect from customers finding out that they do not have what they came there to buy. Heck, they probably did not even have what would have been the customers 2nd, 3rd or 4th options either. Maybe Sandy's Donuts should stop opening new stores around town, especially if they can't keep the ones they do have stocked. Sandy's has been an icon for many years in West Fargo. It was great to hear that they were going to be opening up several smaller stores throughout the Fargo area. However, if you can't keep those stores stocked, what's the point? As far as I'm concerned, I'll probably not go back and only if someone asked me to would I consider it. This incident really makes me wish that Krispy Kreme doughnuts had stayed in Fargo. I miss that business and love stopping there while traveling to buy a few dozen donuts. At least Krispy Kreme is set up to provide donuts on demand, unlike it seems, Sandy's donuts. I agree that Krispy Kreme does not have the same quality as Sandy's but at least they don't run out of product and force their employees to deal with annoyed and probably angry customers when told that the majority of their product is gone and likely unavailable for the rest of the day. Maybe they expect people to drive to one of their other stores in the hopes that that store might have donuts available?

As someone…read morewho appreciates solid gluten-free and dairy-free options (without feeling like I'm sacrificing flavor), this place absolutely delivered. The menu has several clearly marked GF/DF choices, and it's refreshing to see more than just a token salad. The fried chicken options especially stood out crispy, flavorful, and surprisingly light for being allergen-friendly. You can tell they've put thought into their ingredients rather than treating it like an afterthought. Vibes are cozy and casual with a fun local atmosphere -- perfect for a relaxed lunch or casual dinner. Service was friendly, helpful with answering ingredient questions, and didn't make dietary restrictions feel like an inconvenience (huge plus!).

You go to the front to order your meal, get your own fountain drink, and then are prompted to tip 15%, 20%, 25%, or 30%. Who thinks simply bringing food to a table is deserving of a 30% tip? Maybe some people feel that way, but it felt excessive for the level of service. Again, the staff were nice and I liked the atmosphere, but the price of subpar food combined with the tipping setup is enough to make me not want to go back.

The burger selection is honestly impressive. With 50+ specialty burgers on the menu, there's something for everyone--from classic builds to bold creations piled high with unique toppings. The quality of the beef stands out: juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Even the buns hold up well against the towering stacks. Beyond burgers, they've got solid appetizers (the fried pickles and cheese curds are local favorites), good wings, and a wide beer selection featuring regional and national brews. Portion sizes are generous, so come hungry. Service is typically friendly and fast-paced, even when it's busy--which it often is. It's a popular spot for a reason. For an appetizer, I ordered the cheese curds, they were hot, but very average. Not bad, not great, just your standard bar-style curds. For my meal, I decided to try something different and went with the donut burger. Definitely an odd combo, but it was fun to try while in town. Flavor-wise, it was fine, unique, but not something I'd order again. The mac and cheese side, though, was a miss. Easily one of the weakest parts of the meal. I'm not sure why so many restaurants struggle with mac and cheese but still feel confident charging extra for it. On the bright side, the $5 happy hour drinks were great, generous pours and a solid bartender. Overall, this place is your average, run-of-the-mill sports bar. Nothing special, but not bad if you're just looking for a casual spot to grab a drink and a bite.
