We ordered a couple donuts and an espresso. My son enjoyed the cinnamon sugar and maple. We liked how much icing they put on the donuts. Didn't love the espresso - I'll probably try the regular coffee next time. I was about to order the cream filled donut but someone grabbed it next to me and that was the last one. I'll have to try it next time too! Free street parking. Super friendly staff!

But if you want something truly special get the caramel rolls, there is a reason they sell out in a couple hours if you don't get there early. I didn't get any the first day we were in Fargo so I had to try again the second day, and YES they are the real deal at Sandy's. Perfectly gooey, sweet, and warm...pure comfort for my soul!

I fell into the latter category. I'd sampled the donuts and cinnamon rolls before but had never actually visited a physical location. The South Fargo store happened to be on my route out of town, so of course I had to stop for a donut and a cup of coffee. I also had the opportunity to introduce a first-timer to Fargo to this awesomeness. It was Teacher Appreciation Week, so selections were a little slim by late morning, but they were still sufficiently stocked. I sampled the "Churro" donut, while my partner found one featuring their two favorite things: chocolate and peanut butter. Both were delicious, and the coffee definitely put a spring in our step. Go get some.
