To start off, let me remind readers and potential customers, as well as Sarah and her crew: The…read moreunited States First Amendment gives me the federally protected right to Freedom of Speech. That being said, here is my review. I moved to Casselton in July of 2023. I have experience working at a lot of restaurants. Some of them High end restaurants. To name a few, Red Lion hotels, Red Lobster, the Valencia owned previously by Iron Chef Catkura on the old Vegas strip, Applebee's, Denny's and more. Well I wouldn't go as far as to say that most were great jobs, I would say that they at least for the most part, were respectful to customers and valued loyalty and respect towards employees. Percy's place it's a whole new ball game. When you first walk in it seems like a quaint little family friendly cafe. tables are only washed after closing. Unless a spill happens there won't be a clean up. Unless the customer does it themself. I worked for Sarah and her husband for just under two months. Out of all my jobs at restaurants over the years, Percy's place is the worst. when applying for a job Sarah tells you she doesn't care what's on your resume as long as you're willing to work. That might work for some people but nowadays, having a solid resume with experience is important. despite all my experience working at restaurants, I was stuck on dishes as if that was all that Sarah thought I was good for. She claimed I would eventually be trained as a grill chef, but then constantly complained about another past employee that quit working under Sarah's dictatorship-like employment style, resulting in her frequently saying things like: "I'll never hire another retard from this county and maybe I should follow the trend and hire cheap labor" things like "I don't know why I bother trying to keep this place open as a staple, people should be thanking me" and " "man the senior citizens are real ass ***** "when they returned their plates from her catering full of food. She got Covid-19 about 3 1/2 weeks into me working there and closed down. Didn't tell me until I found out from Nikki Lamb at casselton City hall. The following Tuesday I found out again, from Nikki that she had reopened. I returned to work for a few more weeks than respectfully informed Sarah I was resigning. I posted on Google my review and promptly received a nasty email which I included in my original post. Recently Google informed me via email that: the owner of this establishment has removed your review ". So if she doesn't like your review, she will remove it. I'm fully aware now of her capability to remove reviews she doesn't want people to see. However, she can't control what others see once seen. So in an effort to push the truth out there, despite the obvious risk of her once again deleting my review, I'm reposting this. It should also be noted the health department was called on her establishment and did a thorough inspection , finding many violations which she received a hefty fine for. that is public record for anyone to look up.

Sitting on Main street in little Hunter, North Dakota is a boxy little restaurant that manages to…read moremake some of the best breakfast food we've seen in the area. The space is rather large, given the size of the small town, one wall is plastered with various college banners and another wall has the "Over 90" club members - community members who are 90+ and still eat at the cafe. It's clean and a well kept space. The menu is manageable, there are nice options for lunch, but we came specifically looking for a breakfast - we were not disappointed. We shared a caramel roll and some coffee to start. Now, the coffee isn't anything to write home about, standard cafe fare. But the caramel roll was a magnificent example of decedent small town goodness, and at $2.15/ea, we took some home for the next day. The breakfast platters were solid. Over easy was over easy. Hashbrowns crispy. Toast, toasted and buttery. The omelettes are well done as well, fluffy eggs surrounding a generous portion of fresh prepped goodness. All told for two of us and to-go rolls, we spent about $20. The Hunter Cafe and Bakery is a nice little gem well worth the 35 minute drive from Fargo. The service is kind and personable. People's tickets are marked by names (not ours, because we were visitors). The whole place feels like a beating heart of a community. Don't expect much more than delicious rural cafe fare, but the food is made with care and plenty of butter. And I am certain to return for those caramel rolls. Totally worth the drive.

While I didn't memorize the other food choices, I recall a variety of sandwiches and I recall a special of a Wild Rice Casserole. I went with the 1/2 Sandwich & 1/2 Soup special. For the sandwich, I picked a chicken salad on croissant. You also get a choice of chips or a cookie. Both the soup and the sandwich tasted so good, that I made a mental note that I need to come back here to try other soups and sandwiches. The other person in my group had a meatloaf sandwich, which I think was one of the specials of the day. I've had baked goods many times over the years from K's but have never had a meal until recently - it was suggested for a lunch meeting.
