Wonderful local donut shop! They only take cash or check, but a great place to stop for a treat. Walk in and take out only.

She had a bite and instantly started vomiting and went into anaphylactic shock. I tasted the cookie and it was for sure a peanut butter base with chocolate chips. The cookies taste great, but we will never return, as the allergic reaction could have been prevented if the cookie was labeled properly. Please consider a different labeling system. Maybe someone moved the cookie to the wrong spot? Just very disappointed.

When I walked in here and saw the husband and wife (presumably) working feverishly behind the counter, and a young daughter running back and forth following assigned chores, I immediately knew this was a place I wanted to give my business. I love the effort, and it shows through what they sell. I bet they had at least a dozen types of cookies sitting out, and it was tempting to try a handful or more rather than one, max two (which is what I SHOULD stick to). I tried a ginger cookie and loved it. We also got a cheese garlic bread which was soft, gooey, and wonderful. Then, there were all the other things they had- cake pops, croissants, and other breads. And also soups and sandwiches. I'm not sure if they rotate what they make or if it's consistent, but either way I definitely want to come back and support such a humble business. Major props!

Sitting on Main street in little Hunter, North Dakota is a boxy little restaurant that manages to…read moremake some of the best breakfast food we've seen in the area. The space is rather large, given the size of the small town, one wall is plastered with various college banners and another wall has the "Over 90" club members - community members who are 90+ and still eat at the cafe. It's clean and a well kept space. The menu is manageable, there are nice options for lunch, but we came specifically looking for a breakfast - we were not disappointed. We shared a caramel roll and some coffee to start. Now, the coffee isn't anything to write home about, standard cafe fare. But the caramel roll was a magnificent example of decedent small town goodness, and at $2.15/ea, we took some home for the next day. The breakfast platters were solid. Over easy was over easy. Hashbrowns crispy. Toast, toasted and buttery. The omelettes are well done as well, fluffy eggs surrounding a generous portion of fresh prepped goodness. All told for two of us and to-go rolls, we spent about $20. The Hunter Cafe and Bakery is a nice little gem well worth the 35 minute drive from Fargo. The service is kind and personable. People's tickets are marked by names (not ours, because we were visitors). The whole place feels like a beating heart of a community. Don't expect much more than delicious rural cafe fare, but the food is made with care and plenty of butter. And I am certain to return for those caramel rolls. Totally worth the drive.
