Not from here so ventured out to down town. Their places are super cute and comfy. Moody for studying. I tried the Monkey Business drink. Came in a very small cup. It was absolutely the worst coffee I ever tasted, was in a plain white closed cup. Iced coffee is a little more done up then that and cost was $5 for the price the size should be bigger on the other hand because it was so bitter I didn't drink it so on that hand I'm glad it wasn't bigger. However staff was nice. read more

Nicely located coffee shop that provided respite from the cold air outside. Ample seating and a menu with lots of options. Dozens of board games are a nice touch, providing something to do if you're looking to stay a while. I'm normally a cold coffee girlie but was needing a warm up. My drink was thick and frothy... yum! The young man behind the counter was quiet but kind and readily answered my questions. The cookie was good, not great. It was stored in the cooler so it was cold. A room temp cookie would have been more satisfying. read more

Quick grab breakfast We stopped her for drinks and a quick breakfast. They have a large selection of coffee and non coffee options. There is a case of desserts and premade breakfast items. They have breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, oats and other items. The sandwiches they heat up when ordered. I tried a yogurt and granola bowl with a hot chocolate. Both tasted great. This place is NOT the move! I went there everyday to do my studies and buy coffee and food, but one day the owner came up to me and told me there was no loitering. WOW! I then proceeded to tell her that I'm not loitering and that I'm in here everyday as a customer. She then replied "Well I've never seen you here before." Screw that, I'm taking my business elsewhere. We stopped in while driving through town because it was recommended in a couple posts online and we're so glad we did! The baristas were l friendly and efficient. The drip coffee and iced butter pecan latte we ordered were yummy and so was the breakfast sandwich. The coffee shop was a good stop for us as it was clean and cozy on a rainy day. read more

My daughter and I were in town because she was wrestling at Nationals. We stopped downtown to hangout and take in the sights. We were walking around and noticed this cool coffee shop that had bikes as the frames for the bottom of a couple of tables. That drew us in initially and then we saw the sign for the frozen lemonades. We had to pop in! It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and there were a handful of patrons inside. Like many local coffee shops it was a calm atmosphere where you could find a variety of people chatting over a drink and bite or the solo individual in the corner with their earbuds plugged in for some alone time. We were full from our lunch (Courtesy of Kroll's Diner) and passed up on a few wonderful smells at other establishments like ther one that served Pho and the other that served ice cream. Any other time we would have run into those places. I even cracked the door to the Pho restaurant to get a better whiff. It smelled so good. A frozen lemonade was something that our stomachs could make room for. We stepped in and strutted over to the counter area that was filled with baked goods. Biscotti, cookies, Rice Krispy Treats, breakfast bagel sandwiches and more. Caitlin was our cashier. She was friendly, helpful and actually was the social media manager for the shop. I found that after I asked her if we could take a selfie. The cost was typical of what I see at similar establishments. I think we paid just about $5/drink. My daughter had a mango and I had a peach. Refreshing on a cool day in downtown Fargo. We would totally go back in we were in the area again. I give this coffee shop 5 out of Fatties. read more

What a cute little coffee shop in Downtown Fargo! They had tones of options & even had different pastries, baked goods, and salads/sandwhiches. I grabbed a cold press depth charged. Stopped in on Labor Day while visiting town and all the tables were full. One girl was behind the counter. Taking orders, filling them, wiping tables and attending to customers. It was a little bit of a wait, but she was doing an amazing job keeping up, really efficient and patient with people. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, sweet potato cheesecake (felt adventurous), and their atomic bomb (coffee with espresso). It was quick and delicious, although I would've preferred the sandwich in a panini press vs microwaved, but I was hungry so speed wasn't a bad thing. Atomic is a solid local coffee shop. You may not get the high-end & artisan-like coffee like you would at some of the newer coffee shops that have opened downtown over the last couple years. However, I know that type of coffee isn't for everyone and some people just want good tasting coffee at a reasonable price & speed. While in the past I would typically get a crafted espresso drink, I now typically just get one of their daily brews (generally 2-4 options). What I appreciate most about Atomic are the amount of seating they have (including a separate room for group meetings) and how the on-Broadway location lends itself to a lot of people I know coming in. For a more robust & flavorful coffee, I may find myself at Youngblood, Twenty Below or Thunder, but I do tend to have many coffee meetings here at Atomic. I especially enjoy it for when I'm meeting with someone to help them (find a job, advice on a new venture) because there are better chances for serendipitous introductions of them to others I know in the shop. read more

This is a cute spot! My partner and I got the chia pudding, overnight oats, and sausage, egg, and cheese flatbread sandwich. It was awesome to see that there were vegan and gluten free options in the display case as well. Our food was great! My only qualm was that my oat milk latte was fairly lackluster. It tasted like there was no espresso in it and like the milk was just heated up in a microwave. I'd be down to give this place another chance, considering how nice the staff was and how nice the location was. read more

I did not get any food, but my mom got a regular black coffee. She said it was okay. She got a bag of chips as well, but upon buying them, she realized they were expired. She said the chips also tasted gross and greasy. The menu items seemed quite overpriced. When it came to wait time, I had to wait quite a long time... Only one person was working, and she had to make the coffees and then give them to the customer before going to the next person in line. I bought a Basil plant for a fundraiser-type special they had going on. I likely will give this place another try in the future, and maybe buy a pastry item -- the food available was in large portions, so at least there's one positive. read more

Stopped in early on a Saturday morning while waiting for a friend. For I need my morning coffee. Or this girl just couldn't survive. So upon arriving I had no clue what to get sense I have never been here that I can remember. I have heard others talk about it. So I popped in. The young lady behind behind the counter asked me what would like to have I said I have no idea what do you suggest. So then she asked how I normal get coffee. So she suggest a vanilla flavored... I said sure why not normally I never get vanilla for I don't like it, however I was very surprised it was really good and of course I can't pass up a treat so I had to have one of my all time favorites cranberry nut muffin it was extremely delicious moist and I love how the cranberries pop when you bite into and get your tastes buds into a frenzy. I will have to check this one off my list as never being here before and when downtown remember to stop in. Thank you again for the great coffee suggestion. read more

Gayle and I were Downtown for the Red River Market. We wandered into the Atomic Cafe after that for a little air conditioning, some coffee, and a chance to sit comfortably while watching the world go by on North Broadway. Counter staff were friendly, and we particularly enjoyed the warm community vibe and the art on the walls. The Atomic Cafe would be a great place to hang out during any season. read more

Since Covid19 and new employees on Monday afternoon Oct. 5th... we ordered two blended drinks thinking they would be the same as in the past when the two guys were working. The drinks were colorless and tasteless. They need to check and have the new employees make the drinks for the manager to make sure they are right and consistent. not sure when I will come back, $18 for two bad drinks and a cookie.
