This place was so nice ! I got the S'More waffle which was so delicious! And a small hot chocolate. Everything came out orderly and wasn't and wait time at all. I would say that just like everyone else in the reviews it is a bit expensive but nothing crazy. Definitely stopping by again before I heave ND!

Had a not so nice experience with the two people working on the night of the Christmas Tree Lighting. Could not get any service or acknowledgment from the staff. It wasn't only us this happened to. Hope they tune up the customer service. We will check back with this place soon.

Yay for a place that offers vegan waffle options! Too bad the prices are pretty steep. A base waffle was $7, plus $2 to be made vegan, plus $2 extra PER topping (on average). It's $2 extra for actual maple syrup... I ordered takeout and the process was very confusing. I got email confirmation that the order was ready, so I came in. Despite multiple workers behind the counter, there was no spot for pickups and you have to wait in line. I asked for my order and they couldn't confirm that it was mine. No name, no receipt, no note. Nothing. The young lady opens the container and we assume it's mine. Thankfully it was. When I asked about syrup, I was given a little cup of what was clearly cheap, imitation syrup. You'd expect more from a trendy waffle spot. My waffle of choice was the Naughty Waffle, (minus whipped cream to be vegan) since it was a better value than building your own. The waffle was decent enough, until I found a hair stuck to one of the blueberries. I like what they tried here, but it seems to just be a hipster, overpriced waffle place with poorly trained staff. Unfortunately, I probably won't come back. It was $15 for a mediocre waffle with a hair in it.

Waffles tasted good but seemed double the price they should be. The vibe of the place was nice enough and order came to us in reasonable amount of time but we were pretty much the only people there.

BYO Waffle blueberries, powdered sugar, honey and whipped cream

Their food is amazing, it looks too good to be true and tastes even better! My favorite waffle is the fat Andrew with bananas peanut butter and whipped cream and a cup of black coffee is a must! The staff always makes me feel so welcome and appreciated! I love the bar style restaurant vibes with not too bright lighting to wake up gently with my coffee!

I see a number of not-so-good reviews, but for my two visits so far, I've had good experiences. Perhaps it's some growing pains of being a new restaurant or maybe just some inconsistencies with staff. In our last visit, my daughter really enjoyed her strawberry cheesecake waffle. It was big and tasty. She couldn't finish it, so I ate some as well and thought it tasted great. Very rich/sweet. I've heard some people say the food is expensive but I disagree in that you are not getting a generic diner-type waffle. The $9-$10 price seems totally reasonable to me for the presentation, taste and portion. I've enjoyed their coffee as well. I don't think the cold brew was worth the $5.50 for the 16 oz drink, but I had to at least try it. The decor and vibe of the building is top notch. On my visits, the staff were friendly.

The building ambiance is A +++ The staff members are not happy or friendly. There's a sign that states please wait to be seated but no one seats you. We ordered waffles with our coffee and those around us - arrived long after us - got served their food way before us. When I asked the status of our food ...the comment "we were clearing up back log". REALLY??? Trust me when I say their coffee is mediocre. There was one beautiful & friendly barista. Will definitely not return here.

Black Coffee is a nicely designed upscale waffle restaurant with gourmet coffee. If you can spare the calories this can be a fun place to go with sweet and savory waffles. I tried their maple latte and it was smooth and I find anything with maple quite good. The waffle had the works including blueberries, cream and granola. Together the texture was alluring. There was only one staff in the restaurant who did all, thankfully it was not busy.

Pulling into thr parking lot and seeing it full made me feel like I was on to something good! You walk in to a small shelf with these gargantuan cinnamon rolls on display that I'm sure double as a pillow for when you eat the first one. Pro tip, Buy TWO!!! We were greeted and seated promptly and our drinks came out quickly. Our server was by soon after to take our orders. She did an excellent job and had a warm personality I hope to see so far up north! Being from a more southern state I found it interesting to see a "taco omelette" on the menu and almost didn't order it but I had to try! It was a fun change of pace and hit the spot. It's not gonna be go to item for me but it's always cool to try new things . It was delicious and chocked full of ground beef!! I enjoyed it with a dab of sour cream. Wifey enjoyed her eggs Benny and the kiddo had a pretty epic looking waffle. For two bucks you get all the cool whipped cream and strawberry compote!! Overall an excellent experience and it's easy to see the locals love it!!

I got the 1/2 sandwich (BLT) and a cup of chili. When it arrived it came with half a grilled cheese sandwich instead. But I ended up giving it to my daughter because she ordered the adult portion grilled cheese, but I think our server misunderstood and ordered her a kids grilled cheese which came with only one half rather than two halves. The BLT was delicious and fresh tasting. I'm a fan of chili, I like it with and without beans. So if you don't care for beans, then this chili isn't for you. It wasn't spicy, but it was filled with meat and beans. It was pretty good! Overall, this is a decent place. Price is good. Portion is good for the cost.

If you are from the Cities, they are owned by the same people as the Hewing, so expect a similar level of service. I liked my old fashioned a lot, it was well made. Thank you for being a highlight of my long ways trip. Food- stunning, innovative. Ambience- funky and cozy, well spaced, great people. LOVED!!! It was a quiet Wednesday night and a nice break from a long day in having dinner at Rosewild. The decor is contemporary and comforting. We sat at a table overlooking the town's ice skaters, so fun. Drinks were well done- as always never mad at a hand stuffed blue cheese olive martini. Besides though - the food!!! Mmmmmmmm. Apps were Pork Belly burnt ends and Burrata salad. The burnt ends were a falsehood in name, could've been more juicy and meaty to mimic beef, but the flavor was there. Burrata, delicious! Light pesto of fresh herb. Entrees around the table were Steaks, Walleye dishes and two sides. Steaks were well taken by those enjoying. Not the best of cuts chosen towards hanger but made for a satisfaction. The walleye - loved the staying local feel here. And the bread pudding underneath. WHAT was this???! - divine!!! Again an inspo dish. This bread pudding- I am finding recipe and making for a holiday dish accompaniment. WOW!! Additional sides brought towards the steaks were roasted brussels and fried potatoes. These potatoes- had to be fried in an animal fat. They had SOOOOO much flavor. I swear to you not- we were finished dinner, everything was taken off the table and I would NOT LET GO of these fries. FML. I die. I want to eat them again and again. I wanted to take them with, on the plane and repeat a thousand times over. I think the best fries I've ever had in life, no lie. Well freaking done Rosewild. I'd never think reason to come back to Fargo being an East Coast girl, except for you- and the exquisite service, ambiance and food. You are killing it!

The menu has the usual pub fare - wings, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. But on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-1, the menu expands to things like omelets, hash, Benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. So, when our Friday night hotel bartender recommended Lucky's for breakfast, well, we knew where we'd be headed. The breakfast service we encountered on Saturday was extraordinary, so hats off to our server Beth. Our party of ten walked in when breakfast opened, and she quickly set up a few long tables for our group. Oh, and she set out two coloring activities and crayons for the two young guests in our group. Our breakfast started with complimentary bowls of popcorn and we saw some very interesting eye openers on the menu, like a Breakfast Punch (with Rum, orange and pineapple juice, strawberry purée, and ginger ale), a Lucky's Blueberry Pancake Shooter (with Stoli Blueberry vodka, Butterscotch, Orange Bacardi, and a slice of bacon) and a Keoki Coffee (with Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, coffee and whipped cream). We passed on these alcoholic temptations; Beth took our orders flawlessly and the food started rolling out of the kitchen in no time. We started off with a order of Beignets for the table ($9.99) - "Deep-fried beignets made with croissant dough, topped with powdered sugar & a side of strawberry jam. I tried one and it was very good -piping hot, light as a feather, but surprisingly not greasy. My wife ordered a Ham and Cheese Omelet ($13.99 served with her choice of toast and a side of fresh fruit, home fries or cheesy baked hash browns. It was a generous portion and the fruit cup she ordered was fresh and tasty. My Cajun Hash ($15.49 with Andouille disks, shredded chicken, two big shrimp, peppers, onions, cheesy hash, & scrambled eggs) was one of the best breakfasts I've had all year. It was a gigantic portion, and I was more than full with half of it. Beth was automatic with the coffee refills, was very sweet dealing with the two children in our party and gladly gave our couples separate checks. One very cool thing we saw was a "Treasure chest" full of children's toys, coloring books, and activities as freebies for the little darlings that visit. These weren't junky dollar store toys, but some nice stuff. We could not have been happier with our breakfast at Lucky's 13.
