Then the lady with face piercings (noting against that) ridiculed her employee who rang us up for the drinks because he missed the cider, as it wasn't two dollars it was two dollars off. She then made my group pay four dollars before we were able to get the beers that were left. Drank the beers then the sauces came before the food and they were just dropped on the table and we didn't know which was what. Ordered the brew bowl with fries, everything was cold, gravy was like jello still and fries were cold. The bathroom was a mess, paper towel lid on the floor and wasn't working. What was also concerning was orange power cord plugged in next to the women's sink that lead to the kitchen. How exciting to find a gluten free restaurant! We ordered several sides and a salad. The flavor of the deep fried sides (onion rings, cheese curds, and waffle fries) all had a terrible burnt taste. Maybe they use a smoke flavoring? If not, the oil was terribly burnt where I couldn't even eat them. The donut was good, super sweet but a good option after the burnt taste. The staff were nice and I loved the atmosphere. However, the food was just OK. I paid $20 (with a 15% tip) for three chicken strips, fries, and a drink, and it all got tossed when I got home. What I found most off putting was the tipping. You go to the front to order your meal, get your own fountain drink, and then are prompted to tip 15%, 20%, 25%, or 30%. Who thinks simply bringing food to a table is deserving of a 30% tip? Maybe some people feel that way, but it felt excessive for the level of service. Again, the staff were nice and I liked the atmosphere, but the price of subpar food combined with the tipping setup is enough to make me not want to go back. read more

Found the Brew Bird by accident, but did get a referral from the place we stayed at. Yes, very funky, but get there early or there will be NO parking available. All I can say is that the place is CLEAN, great music, good service, and "all killer and no filler" food. This is real "stick to y'alls ribs" chicken and mashed potatoes. The only people who eat here are people who think pepper is spicy (sorry) and have no idea what good food tastes like, and I, who usually finishes my food, couldn't finish that meal due to how much flavor was lacking. The food looks great, but once you take a bite, your mouth becomes full with disappointment. I ordered the Fargo hot chicken sandwich. It had an interesting taste and a kick to it. But although it was spicy, it had no flavor to it whatsoever. I would rather have enjoyed school cafeteria food more than that rubbish, and that says a lot. Parking is not great. We found some street parking pretty close. You order at the front and they bring the food to your table. Ordering process is easy and the employee was very nice and suggested some sauces. The soda was waaaay too sweet. Whoever was in charge of adjusting it needs some more training. Yuck! The flies inside were super annoying. The food was good. I had the classic and the waffle fries were delicious with the dipping sauce. This place has definitely been my favorite spot since I moved here from Seattle. Love me some Hot as a Cluck! So spicy and so flavorful. Unfortunately today getting 3 sandwiches (Chicken Cordon Blue & 2 Hot as a cluck), snack size Mac and Cheese and Large Butter and Parm noodles. Our sandwiches come out and waited a while for my 3 year olds mac and cheese and garlic parm noodles. Well about 15 mins (or longer) later they come out. They came in the same snack size and I wasn't going to complain because my 3 year old that's been patient for the past 40 mins being there and was hungry. Mac and Cheese was watery soup and Garlic Parm noodles was only a quarter of the snack cup. The garlic parm noodles were so dry, hard and old there was microwave burn on the noodles to hold together. Took a picture of the Mac and cheese as we were leaving and it was so bad the pasta didn't even wanna soak it up. (The pasta in the Mac and cheese was also extremely hard.) the milk/cream/water (whatever is was) was almost to the top. Not only did their chicken, fries, and many sauces meet my allergy needs, but they were also incredibly delicious! My husband isn't GF/DF and he said it was probably the best chicken sandwiches he's ever had! It tastes too good to be true! The fried pickles were also a real treat! Entrees come with two dips, fries and a beverage. Now for the food which is the disappointing part. It took quite a long time for it to arrive. They were out of all waffle fries so they substituted their regular ones. They were very greasy and soggy and undercooked. The only nice thing was the seasoning on them. The chicken itself was also very greasy and not crispy. The sauce did not have a traditional southern sauce. It was very tomato based. I also ordered a small order of their slaw. That was fantastic- seemed very fresh. However, the small I received was less than 1/4 of a cup. It could be worth another try, today just wasn't the kitchens day. read more

This restaurant has a cool ambience and feel, we sat outdoor on the patio and enjoyed the cool breeze as we ate. Another cool part about this restaurant is the variety of sauces on the side. They are .75 cents per cup but the garlic parm, ranch, and brown sugar marshmallow were pretty good to dip into the fries. It was just Mixed greens, roasted sweet potatoes, feta cheese, dried cranberries, candied pecans, & honey vinigarette dressing. It was bad, but I would have liked to get all the ingredients to really know. OMG Sprouts- these are glad fried with honey & mustard glaze. Not much flavor & were soggy & super oily. The sogginess could be from to go travel, but the lack of flavor and over oiliness was not great. Cauliflower Wings- lightly breaded which was nice, but lacking any flavor. They stated ginger & coconut milk marinated ...but we were unable to locate the flavor. It comes with a Thai peanut sauce which was solid! We didn't finish these. The boyfriend got the Hot as Cluck Sandwhich! It definitely had a great kick!
