First time Fun corner renovation of an auto shop. We hot strips and waffle fries along with cheese curds. It all tasted great. P

The southern-drawl chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun (it was actually soft) and sweet potato fries!

The food was amazing and everything was gluten free so no worries at all. The crunch on the chicken was amazing. I would definitely like to stop here again!!!

Almost everything is GLUTEN FREE! With 2 family members with Celiac, this was an incredible find in Fargo. Plenty of options for dinner: cheese curds & onion rings, sandwiches & salads were really good. Staff was helpful and friendly. We sat inside, but the patio looked like it'd be nice for happy hour. Edit: we stopped on our way back to Minneapolis to get lunch! Delicious!

Onion rings and a beer I started on

When you enter, there are menus to your right on the table. Look at them and walk up to the cash register and place your order. They give you a statue to place on your table. Then you find a place to sit and they bring your food out I was just grabbing a beer and onion rings. The onion rings were plentiful for the price in the beer was OK. I would like to come back someday and try some other things.

I asked a beertender nearby if I should eat here or another recommended place? He whole heartedly suggested here. I ordered the three piece thenders.... w waffle fries, it was too much, I threw one away!! But those fries? So good!! Honestly, I didn't even look at the sauce list.... I blindly asked the cashier which were her favorites? She clinched me w the White Barbeque. It did not disappoint!!! It was also great to dip my fries in!! MMMM It was a fun, cool vibe in Brew Bird w the tin seating area "walls". Thanks Brew Bird for the delicious , filling lunch!!

Even after soaking for 20 mins. It was way more souping than this. Mac and cheese?!?!

This place has definitely been my favorite spot since I moved here from Seattle. Love me some Hot as a Cluck! So spicy and so flavorful. Unfortunately today getting 3 sandwiches (Chicken Cordon Blue & 2 Hot as a cluck), snack size Mac and Cheese and Large Butter and Parm noodles. Our sandwiches come out and waited a while for my 3 year olds mac and cheese and garlic parm noodles. Well about 15 mins (or longer) later they come out. They came in the same snack size and I wasn't going to complain because my 3 year old that's been patient for the past 40 mins being there and was hungry. Mac and Cheese was watery soup and Garlic Parm noodles was only a quarter of the snack cup. The garlic parm noodles were so dry, hard and old there was microwave burn on the noodles to hold together. Took a picture of the Mac and cheese as we were leaving and it was so bad the pasta didn't even wanna soak it up. (The pasta in the Mac and cheese was also extremely hard.) the milk/cream/water (whatever is was) was almost to the top. I would've felt so guilty and embarrassed to serve these items the way they were served to use.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and genuinely welcoming -- the kind of place where you instantly know you're about to have a great experience. We ordered the seared halibut and the wild acres duck breast, and honestly... I'm still thinking about them. The halibut was perfectly cooked -- tender, delicate, and packed with flavor. The duck was incredible -- rich, balanced, and executed with precision. Every bite felt intentional. And the service? Just as impressive. Attentive, friendly, and natural -- not forced, not rushed -- just real hospitality that made the whole experience even better. It's been a long time since I've had food this memorable. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. I'll definitely be coming back -- and next time, I'm bringing people with me. Highly recommend.

Hole in the wall places where abeulitas are making the best molé ever with 37 ingredients, Pho with the perfect balance of fish sauce, lime and ginger without too much salt... You get it. When my daughter described this restaurant and cheese shop... formerly a bread and coffee shop, I thought it probably would be good but I was WoWeD. Now I've been there 4-5 times, mostly for dinner with family but also with a friends for lunch. Have always been pleased and proud of and for Fargo. The food has always been good and often exquisite! We usually start with their delicious mocktails and appetizers for the table. Yes, the popovers are wonderful as is the cheeseboard. The menu changes fairly often with some mainstays. The guys in our family often go for the Wagyu steak. Duck and various pasta dishes have also been favorites. I think there's always been a vegetarian option too. I've loved several. The staff is knowledgeable and servers excellent. The atmosphere is unassuming casual and cozy. Save room for desert! They do that well too.

The menu has the usual pub fare - wings, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. But on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-1, the menu expands to things like omelets, hash, Benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. So, when our Friday night hotel bartender recommended Lucky's for breakfast, well, we knew where we'd be headed. The breakfast service we encountered on Saturday was extraordinary, so hats off to our server Beth. Our party of ten walked in when breakfast opened, and she quickly set up a few long tables for our group. Oh, and she set out two coloring activities and crayons for the two young guests in our group. Our breakfast started with complimentary bowls of popcorn and we saw some very interesting eye openers on the menu, like a Breakfast Punch (with Rum, orange and pineapple juice, strawberry purée, and ginger ale), a Lucky's Blueberry Pancake Shooter (with Stoli Blueberry vodka, Butterscotch, Orange Bacardi, and a slice of bacon) and a Keoki Coffee (with Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, coffee and whipped cream). We passed on these alcoholic temptations; Beth took our orders flawlessly and the food started rolling out of the kitchen in no time. We started off with a order of Beignets for the table ($9.99) - "Deep-fried beignets made with croissant dough, topped with powdered sugar & a side of strawberry jam. I tried one and it was very good -piping hot, light as a feather, but surprisingly not greasy. My wife ordered a Ham and Cheese Omelet ($13.99 served with her choice of toast and a side of fresh fruit, home fries or cheesy baked hash browns. It was a generous portion and the fruit cup she ordered was fresh and tasty. My Cajun Hash ($15.49 with Andouille disks, shredded chicken, two big shrimp, peppers, onions, cheesy hash, & scrambled eggs) was one of the best breakfasts I've had all year. It was a gigantic portion, and I was more than full with half of it. Beth was automatic with the coffee refills, was very sweet dealing with the two children in our party and gladly gave our couples separate checks. One very cool thing we saw was a "Treasure chest" full of children's toys, coloring books, and activities as freebies for the little darlings that visit. These weren't junky dollar store toys, but some nice stuff. We could not have been happier with our breakfast at Lucky's 13.

Smoke & Iron is new to West Fargo. So why does it feel like I've been here before?…read moreThat's the challenge with this style of restaurant -- how do you rise above the familiar? Smoke & Iron certainly tries. The menu is creative, the cocktails are eye-catching (including a smoked Old Fashioned worth ordering for the spectacle alone), and the décor is polished and modern. Still, the overall experience feels a bit too familiar. It's definitely a step above an Applebee's, but it lands somewhere in that upscale-yet-safe middle of the American dining scene. For all its ambition and investment -- clearly millions poured into design, staffing, and concept -- it stops just short of being truly remarkable. Our group of eleven was lively, and our server, Kea, handled the crowd with poise and good humor. After a few well-made cocktails, dinner arrived. We sampled dishes like the Beef Tenderloin, Honey Smoked Salmon, and New York Strip Oscar. Across the table, the consensus was the same: everything was good -- attractively plated, properly cooked (mostly hot), and seasoned well. I had the New York Strip Oscar myself. It arrived warm, not hot -- and as I worked my way through it, my impressions began to settle. The steak was fine, the flavors pleasant, but there was no spark, no "wow." Others at the table echoed that feeling: solid, but not memorable. In the end, Smoke & Iron feels like a restaurant earnestly reaching for distinction but not quite grasping it. It's better than most, certainly closer to the top than the bottom, yet still caught in that crowded middle -- among all the other places trying hard to be "the next big thing." Would I tell you not to go? Not at all. It's worth a visit. Just go with measured expectations. I genuinely hope Smoke & Iron finds its footing and breaks free from the pack -- because it's clear they're aiming for more.
