Google says open till 2 am I got there at 11:05 and the BJ dealers says they close at midnight and she needs to stop before an hour before that. In the next 15 minutes 9 people come in to play BJ and they all had the same idea as me it's open till 2. They all left right away. Before I left I asked the bartender its says on Google you guys are open till 2am he looks me dead in the eyes and says google won't let you change the times! I went just after lunchtime and ordered a Reuben because that's my favorite sandwich and I can compare to all the other Reuben's I've had over the years. First I will say that the sauerkraut was very good. I don't know if it's homemade, but it's top notch. The corned beef is quite good and tender the way it should be. One interesting thing about sandwiches here is that you can choose fruit as a side, which I did, and it was very refreshing. Service was good and the atmosphere was very nice. Franks is a nice Fargo locals bar restaurant. It's not fine dining in any way, but not bad in any way as far as the food is concerned. It has a nice atmosphere with the usual hamburgers, fries, bar foods that you would find in this type of place. There's a full bar with nice selections and just a very local feel. read more

I do love a good burger and the one here was fantastic! I went here on a late Saturday afternoon, just missing out on the specials that ended at 4pm, but that's ok. The beer was reasonably priced, the staff was great and the burgers are top notch! I liked the relaxed atmosphere, very sports bar like. I'd go here again in a heartbeat. read more

The food tends to be a little inconsistent, and we were super disappointed with the lavosh flatbread. It was so overcooked that the cheese had changed to...not cheesy. It was more like a disgusting, powdery burnt mess around the last few inches of the perimeter. I love crust, and this was inedible. read more

Very disappointed with the food as compared to when we ate there a few months ago. I had the reuben sandwich with fries. The sandwich was so so and the bread a little over toasted. The fries must have been the bottom of the bag as the pieces were only 1-2 inches long, some were over fried to crispy. I mentioned it to the server and she said that was the way they were. I left most of the fries and part of the sandwich. We were never offered refills on our sodas. read more

I was very impressed with my food; and not because I am frugal and Monday nights are 1/2 priced burgers (with drink). I had the Blueberry Pork Burger which is bbq pulled pork on a burger with cheese. It was outstanding. I couldn't decide between the chips or fries. I opted for the fries and was glad I did. They are decent sized hand cut fries but also perfectly crispy. I can't wait to go back again. I generally like to try something new each time I visit somewhere again, but it will be difficult not to have that burger again. Also, they have a good tap beer selection. And...you can also get Spicy Pie pizzas here if your group is torn between burgers or pizza. read more

Great local hangout. Full bar with good selection of wines, bourbons, etc. Small but well thought out selection of beers on tap & excellent selection of bottles. Food is very good as well - usual bar dishes as well as a few uncommon surprises. You can also order off neighboring Spicy Pie's menu in the bar but I prefer the food off of Frank's muni. The first 6 months - 1 year after they opened I would have given them a two star rating but this has become a favorite of mine, wife & friends. I've seen nothing but great reviews when looking into this place, so decided to come here for lunch. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was basically chicken wrapped in a tortilla, rotten lettuce, and drenched with Buffalo sauce. I also ordered fruit on the side and the fruit was also rotten. My wife and I stopped here after we searched for a spot we haven't been to in Fargo. This is a hidden gem of a bar in a unlikely area of Fargo. Franks is attached to spicy pie in the prairie rose area of Fargo. It's seemed like a new establishment. Very clean, lots of televisions, bigger inside than the way it looks from outside and a very nice outdoor seating area. There's plenty of room for a group but they also have small booths to accommodate a couple. The bar is fully staffed and stocked. Plenty of draughts on tap and reportedly amazing Cesar's. Plenty of happy hour specials and a nice menu. I had the garlic wings and the sauce was awesome. The wings were good but maybe just a little on the overdone side. The staff was friendly, quick and on top of orders. Frank's has a local crowd I felt like but everyone was really friendly and great conversations all around us. read more

Just in town for the race but I had heard about this relatively new place and thought I would check it out. I figured it fitting on TBT because of the legendary sign. The person who told me about Franks said that they had a neon sign from a a seedy joint from the days of old in downtown FARGO so I googled it. It's a work of art.! I started off with the chili which is where I should have ended. Not because it was bad, but because it was so damn awesome!!!! And a meal in itself. Grill cheese croutons really added a nice touch. Blueberry Pork pulled pork....I could only eat a few bites and had to put the rest in a box, it wasn't because I didn't like it, I was too damn full from the chili. I can't wait to polish that off tomorrow! This place was busy, the food came Out in timely manner and the service was pretty good.. This place should kill it since there isn't anything else to offer out there. When the area does develop more other bar/restaurant in that area, they will have a tough time competing with Franks. Frank's Lounge - The star of the show! Good thing to see on throwback Thursday - Lounges Near Me - Fargo, North Dakota

I was really freakishly excited that a new restaurant/bar has opened up in South Fargo, and had the chance to check out Frank's Lounge last night during the middle of the week! I think there's a lot of great potential and am looking forward to checking Frank's out again, but as of now, there's some kinks with service and their available bar that need to be worked out. ATMOSPHERE: This building is right next to the new Spicy Pie, and I was immediately attracted to the classic bright pink florescent sign as I drove in. Frank's brick exterior is great as well, and I saw that they have a fantastic outdoor seating area that would be the perfect place to grab some dinner and a drink in the summer evenings. The interior of Frank's is very open (not too lounge-y though in my opinion), with wooden booths alongside the walls and individual tables throughout the space. There's also a giant hot pink cat that you can't miss :) DRINKS: I'm hoping this is developed soon, but my group of friends and I were surprised to find that there weren't any drink specials or even a cocktail/drink list that we could look over. Our server had a list of wines that one of my girlfriends could pick from, and for every wine that she asked to order, the server had to come back and say that they didn't have it in stock yet (this happened 4 times). She then asked for a ginger ale, and the server came back again to say they were out. They were also out of a lot of common hard alcohols, and so I'm guessing that they're still working on filling up their bar. Other friends ordered an appletini ($4) and amaretto sours, and weren't the biggest fans. I ordered a dirty martini, and usually, have found that I'll get asked whether it's vodka/gin, what kind I'd like, etc. Instead, she asked me "would you like it on the rocks or in a glass?", which I was a bit confused by. Happily though, my martini cost $6, which I thought was reasonable. SERVICE: Our server was pretty attentive for a Wednesday night, but she wasn't the friendliest whatsoever and tended to scowl/glare the entire time. Maybe she was having a rough day? FOOD: The menu is priced reasonably and the food came out quickly. My friend ordered a chicken teriyaki wrap and fries, which he enjoyed. I tried one of his fries, and they were hot, crispy, and pretty great! Overall, I believe Frank's just opened a few weeks ago, and so I'm hoping and anticipating that these initial kinks and areas for improvement will be worked out. We decided to head here for the kids eat free meals. Great service and big meals. Everything was delicious and we will be back. Loved the onion rings and hand-cut fries. The nachos are good too. One of the kids spilled a large glass of water and two friendly staff were over right away to clean up. We will definitely be back so we can try the drink specials! read more

10" Pulled Pork BBQ lavosh (don't turn your nose up at Blueberry BBQ sauce---was incredible!!) and Reuben Flat bread lunch, both great choices! My coworkers and I went here for my birthday earlier this week. I was excited to try something new. While the service was great, the food was sort of disappointing. I had read a Yelp review about the blueberry pulled pork, which I raved about to my husband who loves exotic stuff like that. Unfortunately, him and my coworker who had the blueberry pulled pork wrap both said they were underwhelmed by the flavor. I had the Reuben and was also disappointed in the lack of flavor. Felt like they forgot the 1000 island or something. I tried a few of my coworkers fries, but they weren't my preference (larger and not crispy). However, I did have the chili and I thought it was good. My other coworker had their grilled cheese and tomato soup which looked really good. I'll definitely try it again and maybe order the grilled cheese, but I was disappointed in the food that we did get. Side note: because they are connected to the Spicy Pie they actually offer pizza items on their menu. I thought that was convenient. read more

What has happened to this place!! Haven't been there for a while as Big Erv's is the new place, but thought we'd go back to Frank's to switch things up. Wonton pickles were burnt & nachos had about 2 teaspoons of meat on them. Told waitress we'd just pay for drinks & be done with it, but she had to send manager over. He decided that since we ate 3 of the 6 pickles that he wouldn't refund them but would refund the nachos. I said we ate the parts of the pickles that weren't burnt from the first 3 as we were hungry!! Maybe they need to get back whatever chef they used to have when their food was good. Every time I go to Frank's I'm never disappointed. I like the casual atmosphere, and some great bar food that you can't always find just anywhere. I love the lavish, but last time I tried the Reuben Flatbread, and I wasn't disappointed! It's a favorite among many friends as well. On a cold winter's night, I do enjoy the grilled cheese with tomato soup - so comforting and so so good! And do you like Moscow Mules? Frank's bartenders make a really good one! Served in a copper mug, as it should. They recently added some wines to the drink menu as well- I particularly liked the Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz. This is the perfect spot to meet some friends for a causal night out! read more

I was excited to try Frank's because I had heard good things about the food. I will say that the food did not disappoint. My group was there to watch the game and we mostly did appetizers. The area of disappointment came in the service we received (if you can call it that). We rarely saw our server and when we did she was not friendly at all. She seemed irritated to have to help us at all. We actually had to stop another server for things on more than one occasion. I will probably give Frank's another try someday because I did enjoy the food, but if the service is the same it will be the last time. read more

I was so excited to hear that Frank's Lounge would be opening in the area, as there aren't many bars or restaurants close-by. While it's a great location, Frank's sadly disappointed me both times I have been there since it opened. The first time, the food was average at best. I ordered the boneless "wings" with their blueberry bbq sauce. The sauce itself had a good flavor to it, but the wings themselves were weirdly shaped, like long skinny tenders, and were mushy and kind of cold. My husband ordered the BLT, which wasn't anything special, and the bread was soggy. We also tried the nachos, which were a bit bland and didn't have much in the way of toppings on them. We had a family member wanting to try it out for her birthday, so we reluctantly decided to try it again. This time, we unfortunately had terrible service. We all sat for about 15 minutes before anyone approached us and asked for a drink order. They don't have any drink menus or a beer list on the tables at all, which would be helpful. The waiter was confused when I ordered a Fresh Squeezed, which they have on tap there, like he had never heard of it. It was a Sunday night, and not very busy in there, yet we hardly saw our waiter, and several of us had empty drinks for a while, which is never ok in a bar. A few of us ordered Spicy Pie, and others ordered off the Franks menu. The Spicy Pie took longer to come out, so we got our food at different times. One ordered a side of salsa, which our waiter advised there would be an extra charge for, then forgot to bring it out until we asked again 15 minutes later. I noticed a few other tables around us that had not had their tables cleaned off yet, and waited awhile for drinks as well. Again, the location of Frank's is great, and much-needed for this neighborhood. There is definitely a lot of potential here, and I am sure people will still go, as it's the only place in the area. There are a few good tap beers here, but more selection, as well as specialty drinks, and a beverage menu is definitely recommended. But unless the food and the service kinks get worked out, I will not be back. read more

Ok I'm writing this review during my second visit. I would like to say that I was excited for this place to open since it is pretty much the only place to get a beer in this part of town. The decor and all that is good, classic Fargo throwback, et all, see other reviews. I also can't comment on food at all so this review also isn't taking that into effect. The two star review is based on two things: 1. They are serving Fulton Lonely Blonde which is a 5% beer in a 10 oz pour at a premium price when they are serving beers like Two Hearted (7%) and Fresh Sqeezed (6.5%) at the same price for a 22 oz pour. I informed the bartender of this mistake and told her she should let her manager know, however I see they continue to sell it that way. 2. There was 3 groups of patrons inside and 4-5 outside on the patio at 5pm on a Friday evening. They had 9 staff members (1 outside covering the patio) just congregated at the end of the bar near we were sitting bullshitting and drawing straws as to who would stay the rest of the night and who would go. Employees that just got done working also joined the fray and it was annoying to say the least. Even though I was sitting at the bar it felt like I was in their breakroom. I couldn't make out a clear manager of the pack but they definitely should have moved the pow wow elsewhere. For these reasons, I'm giving a two star rating will not frequenting this place very often. read more
