I had a great stay while in Fargo. This will likely be my go-to hotel when I'm there for business trips to Fargo. Kim, front desk, is the very definition of good hospitality! The amenities are outstanding: pool, sauna, clean well-equipped gym and nice courtyard with drinks and snacks. The rooms are very clean, nicely laid out, equipped with everything you need to cook (full size fridge, stovetop, utensils/cookware/plates), etc. Very nice! The only thing I would add would be more breakfast options for those of us that are vegans; however, I know it's the Midwest so that's asking a lot. Maybe adding some fresh fruit like grapes, berries, granola, etc. Also pancakes or waffles would be nice. This is the reason for the 4.5 stars instead of 5 read more

Conveniently located right off I-94, the Element offers modern, eco-friendly options for folks with tons of great amenities. Despite its upscale nature, I was surprised when I stayed how many families with young kids were there since I wouldn't consider it a family-focused hotel. I suspect given its easy interstate access it's a popular spot for out of town sports teams to use. Expect busy breakfast lines and a packed saltwater swimming pool when you go. While a new hotel, it seemed like the property could use a little more maintenance. Things like gravel in the crowded parking lot and moldy showers were a bit of a ding on what was a spotless property. read more

Great option when in Fargo. When you're travelling to a spot for more than a few days it's nice to have a kitchenette so this was a great option. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space for a longer stay. Rooms were spacious, and bed and couch were comfortable. Staff was attentive and helpful at all interactions. Breakfast was an extra perk with a made to order egg station each day. Spot was safe, centrally located and had plenty of parking. This is a great option when staying a few days in Fargo. read more

This hotel checks all the boxes! This is my first stay at an "Element" hotel and I can't wait to come back. In fact, I'm looking forward to more opening so I can stay in other cities. As I entered my room my first thought was that the room was a bit sterile and smallish. But once I got aquatinted this feeling faded away. For a very modest price, this room had great accommodations and I felt very comfortable. Here's what the room included: -Comfortable bed -Small Kitchen with real plates (and salt and pepper grinders!) -Stove top and sink -Fridge and microwave -One of the nicest TV's I've seen in a hotel (plus DISH) -Waterfall Shower -Desk area with plenty of power sources And easily one of the best pool areas I've been in! The Element is by far my favorite place to stay in Fargo and I'm here a few times each month. The rooms are large, open and very comfortable. Plenty of space to get work done if you're there for a few days. The bathrooms are very spacious - great shower and the beds are very comfortable. They also have a very nice gym with new equipment and weights. Rest assured, you can absolutely get a solid workout in while staying here. Breakfast is included (as well as the beer/wine social) and both are wonderful. Great hotel and super friendly people working here. The staff/owner of this hotel go above and beyond! Whether you are driving through and need a place to stop off the interstate. Or in town for business/fun this is an excellent option for your stay. No issues with parking and the lines are crisp for compact cars to larger SUVs, even in the dead of winter with snow everywhere. A short ten to fifteen minute drive from the FAR airport. Clean and quiet rooms. Hotel is extremely new and they've putting in a restaurant next door on property for expanded room service. You have a great Irish pub across the street currently so upon completion this additional service amenity is just a bonus. Free games and Xbox downstairs so the kids can play. Breakfast in the morning and a weekly evening snack and drink happy hour of sorts. Washing and drying on site. A small store behind the reception desk for other amenities that are not complementary or just to pick up a beer or frozen pizza. Rooms are spacious but not overly huge. Soft bed. Dark blinds and shade for blocking out any sun if that's what you're into. Kitchenette to cool a few meals or just heat up some leftovers. Nice desk for working with great Wifi. Nice television updates for any and all hookups you may need. Clean well stocked gym. Excellent pool and hot tub area with a sweet sauna. Love Marriotts - and this one has been one of the best. Their L shaped hot tub is lovely, and their indoor outdoor space was great to relax in after a very long drive. The breakfast was a good variety, rooms were clean and the location had easy access to the highway and good restaurant options. I didn't seem to get any upgrade, however, when I checked in as a platinum member which was a bummer, and no mention of being too full or any other comments regarding the upgrade as well. read more

So a bit of background - I'm life time platinum elite with SPG/Marriott - I've spent at least 75 nights a year for at least 10 years with this hotel chain - actually this year I'm sitting around 100 nights, which is less than normal because my latest assignment has been every other week. I've also been diamond for three years with Hilton, and whatever the heck the top tier with Hyatt is for a few as well. In short, I travel a lot. The Element Hotel has become my favorite in the past five years or so, and what's not to like? A full kitchen (OK, no oven but everything else) lets me cook for myself instead of suffering restaurant food for 100+ nights a year. The gyms are always new. Pools, hot tubs. They have a full breakfast in the mornings and drinks with cheese and often salad in the evenings. They've really become my hoe away from home - my go to place. Which brings me to the Element West Fargo. Ingrid (the manager) is a wonderful person - she's always vibrant and happy and talkative - she reaches out to all her guests and makes sure they're happy. And this extends to the staff here - they're wonderful, and frankly make all the difference. From the facilities manager to the breakfast cook to the front desk clerks. A joy to stay with. Soooo glad that SPG now has (2) hotels in the Fargo area; but i suppose after today's PR of Marriott purchasing Starwood, there's now even more selection of "Marriott" properties. But staff was friendly. I enjoyed the complimentary social time from 5pm to 6:30pm. (Glass of wine and small snacks) The gym had nice newer equipment. (Good treadmills.) Comfortable Westin bed - not sure if it "technically" was Heavenly or not. Appreciated the keurig coffee maker and capsules in room. Typical Westin shower experience - - w the two showerheads; one large and smaller handheld. Liked the flooring in the room. Close to Costco... (thumbs up!) Overall, a great stay and this is where I will be staying from now on for all future Fargo trips. (Hopefully everything pans out w Starwood & Marriott on the SPG pts.) Oh, oh - and I absolutely LOVED the SPG Keyless option. Was so cool to use. This was the first property that I had the chance to use at. I am on a work and travel road trip, and decided to stay here for a few days. The rooms are clean, nice spacious kitchen, and breakfast is above average. My biggest complaint is their WiFi, do not bother to try and work on their WiFi, it'll keep dropping off and rarely runs at a decent speed. I stayed at a C'mon Inn and the rooms were just as nice but the WiFi connection was solid! Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel if you depend on being connected, otherwise this place is great. read more

My family and I loved this hotel. Everything is new and pristine. It even SMELLS good. The happy hour is not obligatory; they have very nice wines, breads, and cheese. They even provided delicious olive oil from a local shop. Mmmm. The best part of the experience was the pool and hot tub. I would drive several hours back to Fargo just to use this pool again. Gotta say this is my favorite place to stay in Fargo. Large rooms that provide small kitchen areas that have dishwashers, cutlery, and a stove top. The pool doors roll up to expose the inside courtyard that offers a gas grill, fire pit, and plenty of seating. Large fitness room with TVs and a glass wall that lets you look at so not to feel you're sweating in a small hotel gym. They're pet friendly which I love as my dogs have been multiple times. Free breakfast items that are hot and cold along with a complimentary beer and wine happy hour every day. I hosted a meeting here and was impressed not only with how affordable it was but also with the technology. They have a large meeting room that has multiple TVs and techno options that allows for a successful on-site meeting. You can even host people remotely if need be. I would recommend this place as a meeting spot even if you're not staying overnight. They are very accommodating and offer free transportation for team events and dining. The staff are especially fantastic and go over the top to ensure your stay is above what you expected. Plus, your SPG points you earn during your stay can be linked to Marriott rewards. read more

Loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly, especially the young lady from North Dakota State University who is graduating this year - Good Luck! The building is well laid out - the rooms are very spacious - the bed was comfortable and I loved the rain shower head. The breakfast was very good. The pool area was wonderful - large saline pool with some little waterfall features. A hot tub with lots of seating and good stairs to get in & out. Also, a dry sauna, which felt great considering the 30 mph wind outside. Only concern about the pool area was the floor tiles - they were a bit slippery. The fitness room has plenty of equipment and space and the business center was just what we needed for doing a little bit of vacation "work" a.k.a. looking up menus & printing tickets. I will definitely stay in Element in other locations - I think it is a great addition to the SPG brand! read more

My wife and I were looking for a nice place to stay for our anniversary and had heard about this hotel through family and friends. After doing online research and checking out their website, we were more than impressed. The room looked better than it did on the website. Dark wood flooring, small kitchen area with amazing tile back splash, rain spa shower, king bed, massive flat screen TV, a massive breakfast, outdoor patio, and an extremely helpful staff. We stayed two nights and we are definitely planning to return. The hotel itself is located near activities such as the Sheels Arena and restaurants like the Blarney Stone which has become one of our favorites. Even though the hotel itself is technically in West Fargo, it's still a very quick drive to other things such as the mall, other restaurants, and movie theaters. Only minor negatives would be that our rooms were 10 feet across the hall from the elevators and that on our last night the room directly above us was loud with heavy stomping and borderline running late at night and early next morning. We will definitely return and will be telling our family and friends about this place for sure! read more

I honestly loved my stay here. The rooms were clean and brightly lit. Very modern style decor. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. The TVs are huge. They had a manager's reception in the lobby with some snacks, beer and wine. It was all very clean and the staff was SO FRIENDLY. I travel for a living and I rarely encounter hotel staff as welcoming as the staff here. Didn't get to try out the pool and sauna so I can't wait to check that out next time. Wifi worked great. Wow! Just when I think the Element is just a hip, streamlined, modern facility, I realize they also "think like their customer"! Ingrid and Monique went out of their way to take care of us. Both very friendly and this gave us a good sign when first entering and interacting with staff. Love the CoVid19 Care Breakfast...thinking safety but also providing good food and gluten free options. Nice! The Hot tub is awesome. Room for 25 (dont quote that number) but very spacious and inviting. The pool and workout rooms were great! The best part for me was access to the bike paths. So many good paths in Fargo to get the great trails along the river. Good job Fargo, Good job Element. Great place for an extended stay! Whenever I have a trip to Fargo I try to stay at a place that has value added and makes my time away from home the most productive. I usually love this hotel and have stayed there for months. I go 4-5 times a year and a few stays have been over two months long. The reason for the okay rating is because with my last stay, someone stole a coffee drink out of my fridge. I reported it. There was no way anyone else could've taken it and the staff did not care. I always receive a request for a review after I leave, and this was the first time I did not. I cut my stay by a month short and went to a different hotel. I'll not be going back. I've had problems with the room being cleaned on the one or two days I asked. (I usually put up the request for it not be cleaned for 5 out of seven days.) We check in with an entire hockey team for Valentine's Day weekend. At first, things were rough - kids running all over the place, parents who didn't care - we were pretty upset. There aren't many hotels across America that I look forward to visiting on my business trips, but this is one of them. This Westin chain is a good price and top notch. Full kitchen, couch and desk in every room, but a sleek comfortable design that doesn't make you feel like you're in some kind of extended stay. There's no wasted space, the lighting is so good you can actually see what's in your room. Plus they have a pantry and full fridge down stairs and the first beverage is free for SPG members. The staff is friendly and helpful every time, and the managers even noticed that I stay here often and wrote me a letter and gave me a bottle of wine. Now that's service. read more
