The décor and the ambiance are completely mesmerizing it is the quintessential backdrop for a romantic anniversary or a chic date night. I am utterly obsessed with the setting! Now, to be perfectly candid, our server seemed a bit rushed and lacked that polished politeness I usually expect likely because we were the final table of the evening and the kitchen was winding down. However, he did diligently walk us through the last available dishes of the night. I selected the Wagyu Denver Steak, and it arrived in a brisk ten to twenty minutes. It was prepared beautifully rich, melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and seasoned to perfection. I was instantly hooked. When the culinary execution and the gorgeous surroundings align so beautifully, it truly elevates the entire evening. Despite the slightly hurried service at the very end, the sheer quality of the experience wins. I shall certainly be back!

Mezzaluna is located in the downtown area of Fargo. So here's the summary: Parking: There is ample free street parking, which I'm definitely not used to having in LA. Entrance & Ambiance: It was a little tricky to find the entrance. You have to walk down a long hallway to get to the restaurant. The ambiance is very lively, dimly lit, spacious. Pricing: prices were affordable and what you would expect from a nice Italian restaurant Menu selection: good selection for meat eaters and vegetarians but sadly not for vegans/non-dairy eaters Service: our servers were great! All in all, it was a nice option and the sorbet was delicious! I know it's the Midwest so I can't expect a ton of vegan options; however, it would be nice to have more than 1 option.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and genuinely welcoming -- the kind of place where you instantly know you're about to have a great experience. We ordered the seared halibut and the wild acres duck breast, and honestly... I'm still thinking about them. The halibut was perfectly cooked -- tender, delicate, and packed with flavor. The duck was incredible -- rich, balanced, and executed with precision. Every bite felt intentional. And the service? Just as impressive. Attentive, friendly, and natural -- not forced, not rushed -- just real hospitality that made the whole experience even better. It's been a long time since I've had food this memorable. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. I'll definitely be coming back -- and next time, I'm bringing people with me. Highly recommend.

Tucked away in the heart of downtown Fargo, this place has such a captivating, vintage soul. It feels established, storied, and wonderfully lived-in truly a breath of fresh air for those who appreciate a restaurant with real character. The atmosphere is a delightful challenge in the best way possible; it's vibrant, bustling, and clearly the place to be. The service was absolutely top-tier both the chef and the waiter were remarkably attentive and made me feel completely looked after. I simply had to try their legendary Fried Cheesy Pickles. They are an absolute revelation! Wrapped in Havarti and an egg roll wrap, they have this almost "fruit-like" crispness and sweetness that makes them utterly addictive. I was also quite charmed by the Toasted Frog itself it really is the best in town. Full marks across the board! It's a quintessential Fargo experience, and I am already planning my next visit. The menu has the usual pub fare - wings, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. But on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-1, the menu expands to things like omelets, hash, Benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. So, when our Friday night hotel bartender recommended Lucky's for breakfast, well, we knew where we'd be headed. The breakfast service we encountered on Saturday was extraordinary, so hats off to our server Beth. Our party of ten walked in when breakfast opened, and she quickly set up a few long tables for our group. Oh, and she set out two coloring activities and crayons for the two young guests in our group. Our breakfast started with complimentary bowls of popcorn and we saw some very interesting eye openers on the menu, like a Breakfast Punch (with Rum, orange and pineapple juice, strawberry purée, and ginger ale), a Lucky's Blueberry Pancake Shooter (with Stoli Blueberry vodka, Butterscotch, Orange Bacardi, and a slice of bacon) and a Keoki Coffee (with Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, coffee and whipped cream). We passed on these alcoholic temptations; Beth took our orders flawlessly and the food started rolling out of the kitchen in no time. We started off with a order of Beignets for the table ($9.99) - "Deep-fried beignets made with croissant dough, topped with powdered sugar & a side of strawberry jam. I tried one and it was very good -piping hot, light as a feather, but surprisingly not greasy. My wife ordered a Ham and Cheese Omelet ($13.99 served with her choice of toast and a side of fresh fruit, home fries or cheesy baked hash browns. It was a generous portion and the fruit cup she ordered was fresh and tasty. My Cajun Hash ($15.49 with Andouille disks, shredded chicken, two big shrimp, peppers, onions, cheesy hash, & scrambled eggs) was one of the best breakfasts I've had all year. It was a gigantic portion, and I was more than full with half of it. Beth was automatic with the coffee refills, was very sweet dealing with the two children in our party and gladly gave our couples separate checks. One very cool thing we saw was a "Treasure chest" full of children's toys, coloring books, and activities as freebies for the little darlings that visit. These weren't junky dollar store toys, but some nice stuff. We could not have been happier with our breakfast at Lucky's 13.
