Even for a late hour, the place was buzzing with a fabulous crowd, yet the service didn't skip a beat. A lovely server greeted me with the warmest smile, and I decided on the Half Soup and Loaded Mash. It arrived in a crisp ten minutes talk about efficiency! The flavors were wonderfully "homemade," evoking such a comforting, rustic charm. At around $10, the value is simply unbeatable for such a delightful experience. Passing through the area, we were looking for a lunch spot not too far off the freeway. Blarney's was the place. As an Irish pub, the food had a definite theme. I opted for the cup of beef barley soup and Caesar salad combo. The soup was really good. Beef was tender and it was nice and hot. Salad was a basic Caesar's with well chopped lettuce. I like the exposed brick vibe and outdoor seating. They have two bar areas, one completely inside and one covered with open walls bringing the outside in. Service was good. Downtown Blarney Stone is always good!!! The food is excellent! The service is fantastic. If my husband and I don't really know where to go or want something that's a sure thing, especially when we have friends or family from out of town with us, we go to the Blarney Stone. Food was great! I had an amazing time, but when I was seating myself and my husband, there was a large zucchini on the table. Like a fully raw, uncut zucchini. My husband (Mark) and I thought this was very strange, so he waved someone down and asked what it was about. They said they had no idea and then removed the vegetable from my table. A pleasant place. We sat on the patio area. To access the patio you go towards the stairs and hang left under the arch. To your immediate left is the door to go outside? The interior of the building is dark but comfortable. We had the Reuben, which supposedly is the best in Fargo. I really like Rubens and have eaten them in many different states. This Ruben was at least in the top 3 for flavor. Our waitress said it was her first day on the job, but she did was helpful and accommodating. I would like to go back here and try some other things. In reality I'd give this place 4.7 stars. I had the Guinness and it was tasty and presented in the correct manner. Some places I've had Guinness it tasted water down, but not here. read more

Wonder Irish pub - LOVED the service, food and traditional setting! It's interesting in ND that bars need a special permit to allow those under 21 in the bar at all. Here, they have to be out by 9 pm, and the outside bar is 21 only. Now the food...it's excellent. We had beer battered cheese sticks to start (kid delicious) & then wonderful burgers for dinner. We had a great experience at the Blarney Stone on Friday, October 4. From the first contact while making the reservation, to the waiter, food, and support staff everyone was very friendly and our group was very happy. We came with a group of 30 family members who were in town for a wedding. We made a reservation on a busy Friday night with short notice. The food great, the service was excellent (even provided separate family checks) and our group was very happy with the diverse menu that was kid friendly and tasty. We sat in the Grand Room which was semi-private and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We love eating at the bar at places like this because there's so much more personality engagement, typically more than one bartender plus servers are bobbing in and out!!! Our bartenders were ALYCIA and CHARLIE, what a dynamic duo!!! We started out with the delicious Spicy Chicken Lettuce Boats and they rocked our world!!! Then we followed up with an order of Ale Battered Onion Rings and the Salmon Lox, yum, it was a spot on!!! While eating we watched a server bring an order of the bread pudding to a table behind me and oh my gosh, I thought it was a chunk of Swiss steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. General Manager Jesse was kind and super professional to respond to me asap and sent me a gift card. I really appreciated that gesture as it restored my faith in Blarney. So I am changing my review from 1 star to 4. Jesse made things so much better for me and gave me a better feeling about this experience. Thank you Jesse. I drove all the way to Fargo to try this place that has great ratings but I was disappointed. (1) The music was blaring and I had to put my noise cancellation AirPods on, (2) I was told I could sit anywhere by one staff and then told I couldn't sit in 2 different sections by another, (3) The tables were sticky, (4) at 10pm (closes at 1am) I smelled dirty and old chlorine water when they cleaned the bar, (5) at around 10:30pm (closes at 1am) my waitress asked me if I wanted take out containers without telling me they were leaving for the shift so I though I had 3 dishes I ordered and tried to enjoy them and none were barely eaten at that point so I thought I needed to leave asap until I asked for clarification why and I said I would be happy to pay for the bill asap which I did and still paid them 15% for tip to be kind, (6) the waitress brought over a chair from another table to say they needed to put it at my table because it belonged there when they could have waited til I was done because they squished my foot in with the chair and didn't seem to notice or look before pushing it in there when my foot instinctively pushed the chair away because the table was too crowded with the 5 chairs, (7) the $13 Mac and Cheese was super dry and I asked nicely for extra sauce and all they gave me was a tiny container side of parmesan cheese so the Mac and cheese was still dry and got dryer by the minute so I had to bring it home to reheat and eat with my own added cheese sauce, (8) right before 11pm before the waitress left, I asked for 1 more cup of hot water and they said the hot water machine was already closed for the night (remember the place closes at 1am and there were like 15 people still at the restaurant drinking and eating and I didn't think it hurt someone to boil water for me that would take 3 minutes, (9) the corned beef was full of fat and had a very old meat smell to it as of no one boiled it or baked the fat off it before serving it so I took it home and boiled it for 2 hours and separated all the fat but especially to get the old meat smell and fatty oil off it (trying to be healthy in ND), (10) the butter was old and looked like it was sitting out in room temperature since days ago rather than kept fresh when they put it into a single serve container, (11) the bread was dry and not tasty, (12) I asked the waitress for some napkins and they gave me 1... I don't waste napkins and my fingers got oily trying to pick off the fat on the corned beef but one? I never was given 1 napkin by any food establishment in the 25 years I have eaten out ... so before the waitress left after being told I could have any more hot water I asked for several napkins bc the one they gave me I already used, and (13) I had to ask the waitress for a spoon to eat my bread pudding w ice cream bc all I got was the fork and knife. It's rare for me to have this many issues with any food place and paid $53 + 15% tip for. Good parts: (1) Breaded pudding was good, crispy on the outside, ice cream w vanilla bean was good together along with the caramel, (2) mashed potato was good, (3) cabbage was ok. But it was a bit vinegary so I didn't enjoy it thinking I need to add more cabbage at home. The male bartender was very nice. read more

OK so you ever been to a restaurant where the leftovers taste almost as good as the freshly made dish?! Blarney's clearly puts Irish love into their cooking because my Belfast Breakfast (Irish BLT?) was amazing and even the room temp leftover half AND sweet potato waffles fries were a lifesaver after we dealt with a blizzard that caused major flight delays! The drafts beers are a mandatory accompaniment and I enjoyed tasting a few before I decided to go with Hofbrau Hefe Weizen if I'm not mistaken or if I am ask for the fruit flavored draft (not pear, I think it was mango or apple lol). This place was a solid 4.6/5 stars for me. The food menu had a great balance of traditional Irish dishes. Based on what everyone at my table ordered I would get the fish and chips next time I go. We went on Monday night and it was a steal for half off a bottle of wine, only ended up being around $13 for a bottle. My favorite favorite drink from the menu was the Rhuby Sour - it was to die for, had two pints like it was nothing. I ordered the Emerald chicken which was a pleasant surprise with spinach and artichoke on the sand which itself. The fries weren't the best, but the kickin sauce on the side completes the meal make sure to get a small bowl.
