The atmosphere is exciting, the food is amazing and delicious, and the servers are outstanding! I come in every Saturday during the fall before the football game and everyone is happy to see us, they what we drink they bring our food out very quickly. Stopped in to try the new weekend brunch menu. Excellent! Tried the biscuits with chorizo gravy, eggs, and hash browns. I had eggs over easy, the hubby went with scrambled. I wish I could give this place a zero star. We waited 20 minutes to eventually be rudely greeted by our waitress who immediately asked for Id's. One of my friends did not have his ID being that we were working and all of us are 25+. We told her we are going somewhere else, to which she said "too bad". No, too bad for you. The manager/supervisor on duty was drunk....tossing bar stools around(happened 4 times), then I get verbally kicked out just because I said my change was WRONG. then, the drunk manager gets out of the bar area and goes behind the bar and starts counting cash. How illegal is that!? What a dumbass! Then, she tells me I'm wrong and I have to leave immediately. Wow Pete. U sure have brewed a nice bunch of workers. The Bison Turf, henceforth referred to as 'the Turf' is the definition of college bar. What the place may lack in aesthetics it makes up for with genuine service and a dedication to the NDSU student population. A regular haunt at the Turf, I would meet up with my classmates and college friends a minimum of three nights a week when classes were in session. This is the kind of place a group of your friends can grab $4 pitchers of beer, play darts or pool, order a Turf Burger (on a hoagie bun, A+) and Seasoned Fries (oh, God, A+++), carve your Greek letters into the surface of your table or booth, and stumble home. This would be my 'Cheers bar' location. The only real downfall of this place (even if you're looking for a low-key college atmosphere) would be the bathrooms. Sketchy even on their cleanest day, they have no hot water and seem to not be heated. Seriously, they are positively arctic during the winter months. Attire should be old jeans and a hoodie of your choice. If you don't have your favorite Bison hoodie, you can pick up one with the Turf logo from their display case. Once you get to know the staff this place is a nice diamond in the rough! My buddy Cord Palmer showed me this place a few months ago and I had a blast here! Food is great and drinks are cheap!! Make sure to check out the specials board! They have different killer deals every day!!! For some reason it's always dead here. Might have to come at certain times??? Packed with college students but why not? It's just a step away from campus. The food is good and so are the drinks. It's a fun place to grab a drink with friends. I really think it has the best drink prices in Fargo and they are good too. They make a good sour apple martini. read more

They have dart boards, pool tables, bean bags (in the summer) and a few other games. If anything is going on, on or near campus, this place will be packed. The stars are for the food. The waitress was a joke. I wasn't even asked what I wanted to drink, then she left the building and then came back later, chatted with the other girls behind the counter, and then acted all cheerful and bubbly as we left as if she had taken great care of our table. read more

Best bar in the world. The bar tenders are friendly and welcoming. They are super helpful and treat customers like friends. This is right across the street from the college I attend and it's absolutely the go to on Wednesday night. They have a great mug night special. I know the owner and most of the bar tenders. They are down to earth and fantastic. I highly recommend this place!! read more
