Very solid local venue in the heart of downtown Fargo. I had the salad with steak and a seasonal drink made with kumquat triple sec ( believe it was called "the daisy"). Unique take on a traditional margarita. Service was fast and friendly. There are lots of cool local joints in this cute college town and I was glad to have found one of them.

We visited late at night for something fairly light. We shared a salad and calamari appetizer, both of which were tasty. Our server was friendly, but not overly attentive. It smells a bit like stale beer. There is music playing in the background and a spirited, but not obnoxious, crowd.

Fried pickles are a must! I loved the bar overlooking the Fargo movie theater. Great service.

The Toasted Frog was recommended to us by Jon at The Saint Paul hotel. Boy was he right. We rolled in and snagged a window table. We recommend the Toasted Frog as well! Service by Paul was spectacular! We started with a couple of beers and the day's special green pepper soup. So delicious! For entrees, the spicy homemade sausage pizza was outstanding. One of the best sausage pizzas I have had. The margarita pizza was good, but my wife didn't care for the black pepper on it - made for an unusual taste.

Make your own yellow finger tuna tacos. Only ok

I heard great things about the Toasted Frog and wanted to come here before it closes for good in June 2025. Brought college aged son here for lunch. We ordered the famous pickle appetizer, yellow fin tuna tacos and Duck Breast sandwich with fries. The server was nice, but he also doubled as the bartender. The pickles were good with homemade ranch. The yellow fin tuna tacos, you had to make yourself, ok. I liked the Duck Breast sandwich but the arugula seemed slimy as it was a sandwich melt. My son and I shared all of this. Since he is now 21, he ordered a beer. Immediately after eating, I had to rush to the bathroom with diarrhea. Also made it back to college apartment and made another beeline in the hallway bathroom. This does not leave a favorable impression on this place. The menu was very limited and our lunch was $70 including the $7 beer. I can see why they are closing. Plenty of other dining places in Fargo that are much better. One and done.

Visiting Fargo and ate at Toasted Frog and also ordered the pork loin dish by high recommendation from two servers. I don't know if I had huge expectations or just have high standards but this dish was underwhelming. This ravioli shells are empty and sauce was just a sweet gravy. The pork loin was about 5 quarter inch thick slices with pico de gallo on top. Glad it wasn't dry, but it was tougher than I expected. I kind of wished I went with my gut versus recommendation...wasn't impressed. Service was good, recommendations were not, ambiance was great...lots of room to sit and did not have to wait on a Saturday night.

Special: Charred confit rabbit leg, with carrot gnocchi, a brown mustard and mushroom pan sauce, finished with a carrot top chimichurri.

Had the rabbit special that was on 6/21 and holy shit was I blown away by this dish. Service was great and will be back in the near future.

Great restaurant in downtown Fargo. The pizza was tasty, paired with a nice wine. They did have a lot of craft beer options as well. I didn't try any unfortunately. The cheesy fried pickles were very good as well. I can see why they are a popular dish. I had plenty of leftovers so these are both shareable items. The restaurant was menu busy and the service was good. Sat next to the window as I was in this area for work, and just people watched. Fargo is a cute little town!

The Parmesan Salmon was so good. The cocktails were on point. Emily took great care of us!

Well well well you crazy frog. We came here for my mom's birthday last night and brought my aunt frim out of town with us too. My mom got a juicy steak frites which had an outlandish portion of French fries.......just look at the photo there's gotta be a whole farm trailer load of potatoes on that plate. No complaints there. we all were stealing those and they were delicious. They also brought a mystery sauce (it doesn't get better than mystery sauce does it???? My JAM) which we later found out is duck fat Parmesan aioli . You gotta try it folks. It was good and the birthday queen was impressed. I got a margherita pizza which was faaaantabulous. The service was pain free too, easy peasy lemon squeezy just like we like it. I'd come back. My only complain is that on you gluten free menu we thought it said duck sandwich comes with gluten free bread? But we could be mistaken......in any case it didn't come with bread but whateva we are not going to do any workplace violence over that. Thanks toasty xo

The Toasted Frog is one of those restaurants where locals will goggle at you if you say you haven't been there yet, because it's such an esteemed place. Have any of those in your area? Well, after getting tired of people asking if I'd gone to Toasted Frog, I finally went to keep away the stares (not actually really, I did want to try it but just hadn't quite gotten around to it). The basis is that I get why it's quite popular now! I think it might be a little over exaggerated about the niceness of the Frog, but I'd definitely visit again and I obviously liked it enough to give it 5 stars. You can make a reservation which is nice, because it is almost always packed any time I've driven by, especially in the evenings. They have a really fun drink menu, and a nice moody ambiance. I enjoyed my dish but I think I'd try something else next time. You can usually tell when a restaurant has high quality food though, and my gauge pointed that the Frog was in the green (which is good haha)!

The new owners have transitioned this resturant well. When I am in Fargo I always try to eat here at least once.

Enjoyed dinner at the bar. Good menu but flavors not strong; walleye entree was good but rice side was bland. Bar staff friendly.

***Review only for drinks not food***…read more Wonderful upscale bar in Downtown Fargo! If you are from the Cities, they are owned by the same people as the Hewing, so expect a similar level of service. I liked my old fashioned a lot, it was well made. They have a great bourbon selection, including a lot of Old Forester (which is, of course, the best bourbon). The staff was friendly and I had a nice chat. My one suggestion to the restaurant would be to mark DF (dairy free) on the menu, a lot of us can't have dairy!

Life took me to the upper Midwest last week- And while snow…read moreand chill prevailed, nothing but a hot spot was found for dinner at Rosewild!! Thank you for being a highlight of my long ways trip. Food- stunning, innovative. Ambience- funky and cozy, well spaced, great people. LOVED!!! It was a quiet Wednesday night and a nice break from a long day in having dinner at Rosewild. The decor is contemporary and comforting. We sat at a table overlooking the town's ice skaters, so fun. Drinks were well done- as always never mad at a hand stuffed blue cheese olive martini. Besides though - the food!!! Mmmmmmmm. Apps were Pork Belly burnt ends and Burrata salad. The burnt ends were a falsehood in name, could've been more juicy and meaty to mimic beef, but the flavor was there. Burrata, delicious! Light pesto of fresh herb. Entrees around the table were Steaks, Walleye dishes and two sides. Steaks were well taken by those enjoying. Not the best of cuts chosen towards hanger but made for a satisfaction. The walleye - loved the staying local feel here. And the bread pudding underneath. WHAT was this???! - divine!!! Again an inspo dish. This bread pudding- I am finding recipe and making for a holiday dish accompaniment. WOW!! Additional sides brought towards the steaks were roasted brussels and fried potatoes. These potatoes- had to be fried in an animal fat. They had SOOOOO much flavor. I swear to you not- we were finished dinner, everything was taken off the table and I would NOT LET GO of these fries. FML. I die. I want to eat them again and again. I wanted to take them with, on the plane and repeat a thousand times over. I think the best fries I've ever had in life, no lie. Well freaking done Rosewild. I'd never think reason to come back to Fargo being an East Coast girl, except for you- and the exquisite service, ambiance and food. You are killing it!
