I've been here many times over the recent years but I'm finally getting around to writing a review,…read moreafter thinking about how much I enjoyed my last visit here. Junkyard added this West Fargo taproom (originally brewery is in Moorhead) when they renovated a former bank building - which they did a great transformation. This location has tons of both indoor and outdoor seating and has multiple levels of both. The large street level patio has more shade and the large rooftop patio has more sun. On this last visit, we sat on the rooftop patio, in a nice alcove area that probably seats about 10+ people between the wicker chairs and the high top. This would make a good hang out spot if you are coming with a group. The beers are always good, with a wide variety of options. For this visit, even though I was tempted to get the PB&J Sour (which actually tastes just like a PB&J), I ultimately had (two of) the Mango Orange Lime slushy drink. It was so good, and the staff commented as well on how it's a favorite of theirs. And speaking of staff, they are always very friendly and attentive, which serving you at the bar or stopping by your table to see if you need anything. Junkyard always has popcorn on hand, and while they have tasty pizzas as well, we just stuck with the popcorn and drinks on this visit. They actually had free Sandy's Donuts as well, and I don't know if that is a normal Sunday thing or something special - but we didn't take any anyhow. Lastly, it's a good spot if you have a big group as they have plenty of long tables.

While in town for Foolers Ball, we had to check out the new Junkyard location. We haven't been to…read moreFargo since they opened up this MASSIVE facility. Multiple floors, inside/outside space, and of course the same popcorn that you know and love from their other location. They even had space on the inside for a philly food truck to set up a table and be slinging out some grub for those that were drinking their beers. We got a set of five small pours, including two from other breweries that were in town due to Foolers Ball: Puff Tart XL - Raspberry, Lemon, Pineapple An Imperial Sour Ale with Raspberry, Lemon, Pineapple, and Marshmallow Flavoring from thebrewingprojekt Late Nite: Red Velvet Whoopie Pie A Pastry Sour from definitivebrewing that features hundreds of pounds of fresh raspberry, red velvet cake, vanilla cream, and brown sugar. Cheem Creese Cake A Raspberry Cheesecake Sour that tastes just like cheese cake covered in berries. New Zealand Cheat Codes An Imperial IPA hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Moutere, and Wai-iti. This is the definition of a great IPA featuring New Zealand "cheater hops" and it was so dank and tropical. Queen Size An Imperial Stout with Marshmallow and Peanut Butter. Not thick in body, but nice drinkable stout with a complementary adjunct profile with the base stout. ____

I've been here for an after-dinner drink, and you can grab a seat on your own, there are games…read morescattered around the bar for you to grab. The British food menu is still being worked on, so some items weren't available yet but we did try was a wonderful little corn bite with a nice Guinness gravy. The gravy was good enough that my friend managed to drink it all even after the corn bites were gone. When one of the kegs kicked, they gave us the glasses for free. Christina, our server, had a great sense of dry humor I complimented the beers on tap and the whole atmosphere in the restaurant. Lots of TVs for people to watch the various different games. We were the last ones there on a Wednesday night, but they still pretty happily served us and were there even after we left. We will definitely have to come and try the other food when it's ready, particularly that pint of bacon!

Two stars for very sub par food quality. The bartender was the only one there so he had the wait…read moretables and tend bar at same time. Hats off to him and his pleasant/quirky personality, which was the ONLY reason I left him a tip. As for the food?..... consider going elsewhere to dine. Just look at the pics, the Cod was like putting a hockey puck in my mouth and trying to eat it. No joke. $15 for the two overcooked piece's of cod and fries.

It's a birthday day dinner kind of thing. Off we go…read more PR rating- a nice 5. The hostess was welcoming, friendly and asked us if a booth was ok, then showed us to our seats. Nice. There were 4 adults and 1 toddler having dinner tonight. But first the decor. The place has a nice vibe to it. There is some nice long counter seating at the bar. There are lots of glass windows behind that bar that can be opened when the weather is nice. There's an outdoor seating area right next to this. I'm thinking in spring, this would be really nice. There are lots of tables with stools and booths. The booth that we sat at, had big circular windows that you can look out of. There's not much to see other than the parking lot but still it was nice to be seated next to windows. This place calls out "happy hour" to me for groups and I did see groups arriving for that purpose. It wasn't too crowded as it was a week night. Ok onward. My husband and I arrived first and ordered a drink, JD and seven for him, Pepsi for me. The waitress brought our drinks promptly and noticed that we were waiting for our group to arrive. We decided to order appetizers and did have to go and find her but she did know that we were waiting for others, so I'll give her that. Our party arrived about 10 minutes later and the appetizers did also. Here's what we ordered: The appetizer trio: spinach and artichoke dip, garlic cheese bread, chicken wings, cheesy jalapeno dip and chips. All of this was good. I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken wings because it was a dry rub, but they were cooked perfectly. The S&A dip was the best, it had big slices of parmesan on top and was so tasty. The chips were so good and were fresh and crispy. Here's what our party ordered: The turkey club melt with chips, the turkey club melt with fries Chicken fingers and fries for the toddler The fettucine alfredo with chicken and The baked spaghetti Both of the turkey club melts were delicious. I'm not sure I would call them melts, they were both but into triangles as if you are having a turkey club sandwich, but make no mistake, they were so good. The chips that were served were homemade and were also very good. The birthday man in our party loved his baked spaghetti. But the not so good meal was the fettucine alfredo with chicken; it failed. (I wish the person in our party would have mentioned this at the time; I'm sure the restaurant would have handled this). The dish was lukewarm with the chicken being dried out and overcooked. So pros about this place: the portions are really big and filling. The food is tasty. The decor is welcoming and inviting and it's got an easy going relaxing feeling. The waitress was so attentive, filling our drinks when needed, getting us leftover boxes (because we sure needed them) and being overall very nice. Cons: to the restaurant, make note of what dishes aren't working and why. Side note: my husband left his small birthday bag with a gift card at the table. We called the next morning and was told they have it. Some places wouldn't be so honest so it's nice to know that this place is. Bottom line, would I come back here again? Yes I would but I would like to come in when it's a bit busier to see how this goes. But yes I'll go back for sure. Good food.
