It's a fairly basic shop with shelving of various baked goods (many breads, desserts, bars, etc.), soda, chips and a sandwich of the day & a soup of the day. The kind of place where you order to go. I did end up getting the sandwich combo of the day, which was turkey & cheese with a bag of chips. The bread was offered toasted or "cold", which I ordered cold. A good deal at $4.75 - a nice sized sandwich with lettuce, tomato & pickle. I added a photo to this biz profile. Soup is priced at $3.50 which is good as I pay much more at other spots downtown. However, the soup today was Beef Barley, which is a soup I'm not a fan of. I'll watch their social media and stop by for soup when I see one that's more up my alley. I also bought a day-old Everything Bread loaf for 50% off, which was $6.

The space was clean and the staff were attentive. I then made my way over to the bakery and restaurant side. The signs make it very clear to understand the breakouts. If you are ordering pastries and coffee you will be on one side, whereas, if you are looking to order off the menu with full service, you will be on the bar side. Nichole's is a well oiled machine. The setup is easy to navigate and the concept is unique. Blending pastries, coffee, cakes, cooking products, wine, breakfast, lunch and dinner into one space is magnificent. I loved my intimate dine in session ordering the avocado toast on sourdough bread with an over hard egg and an orange hot tea. It was the perfect blend and was the best avocado toast I ever had. My belly was far too full after brunch so I went to the bakery side after and bought a chocolate raspberry muffin (also the best muffin I've ever had), chocolate chip cookies (darn near ate them all in one setting) and poppyseed thumbprint cookies with a raspberry filling (jaw dropping). There are so many more products to taste and see so I highly recommend a visit. I totally look forward to my return in August so I can dabble more with pastries and get into the espresso world too. I was terrified of the asparagus and mushroom galette because I don't like mushrooms but whatever sauce is in this thing is utterly amazing! I'd eat it off a flip flop. Also got the big pecan sticky bun as he had on the show. Omg yumminess. My only regret is that I didn't get more for the road back to my home state. Staff were super friendly and all smiling, they appear to love their jobs which is nice to see. The smell in here.....

Everything also looks so good on their social media posts. Today I bought a butterscotch scone, a pistachio dipped cookie and a big cinnamon twist thing. The scone itself was pretty substantial too and tasted great. Not only did these taste great, but I found it to be a good value too. I paid somewhere between $10-$11 for the three of them and it would have probably been more like $15 when thinking of other places I get pastries. Also, the service was very friendly. I signed up for their customer program, which the owner let me know was going to knock $5 off my sale total, but I told her to save it for later. In recent years, I find myself not using the punch cards or freebies as much for these small biz, as I sometimes feel like I'm taking $ out of their pockets and it's not like those programs are the carrot to get me there. The carrot is the good tasting products and my desire to support the local small biz entrepreneur.

Scoop N Dough is such a fun addition to downtown Fargo! Cookie dough and ice cream, you just can't…read morego wrong with that pairing! This is somewhere I love to take people who haven't been to Fargo much. It's something that most all people can enjoy, plus the shop is super cute. It's in a newly modernized alley of downtown called Robert's Alley, which can be confusing to find until you are a little more familiar with the area. I think there is maybe a parking garage nearby but your best option is to just park along the street or somewhere downtown and walk. You can only get to Scoop N Dough by walking, biking, or other non-motorized vehicular routes. Though the experience of cookie dough & ice cream is great, I do think it's pretty extravagant. The cookie dough is incredibly sweet and rich, and I can never finish my cup because it almost makes my stomach hurt, it's just too much for me. So that's just a warning- it still tastes fantastic and is fun to try at least once. And I did see they are getting another location along 32nd Ave, almost in West Fargo, which is cool!

We ordered a couple donuts and an espresso. My son enjoyed the cinnamon sugar and maple. We liked how much icing they put on the donuts. I fell into the latter category. I'd sampled the donuts and cinnamon rolls before but had never actually visited a physical location. The South Fargo store happened to be on my route out of town, so of course I had to stop for a donut and a cup of coffee. I also had the opportunity to introduce a first-timer to Fargo to this awesomeness. It was Teacher Appreciation Week, so selections were a little slim by late morning, but they were still sufficiently stocked. I sampled the "Churro" donut, while my partner found one featuring their two favorite things: chocolate and peanut butter. Both were delicious, and the coffee definitely put a spring in our step.
