Ordered the HALF SMOKED SANDWICH consists of peppers, onion, coopers cheddar, egg, and a hash brown on a brioche bun. The bread is delicious, the half smoked was reminiscent of smoked sausage. I would have liked more peppers and onions. PRALINE PECAN SWEET ROLL is good Nice soft dough texture. The cinnamon spice is delicious very pronounced. I prefer a less sweet roll, the praline made it sweeter than I prefer. I did taste a little tanginess, maybe sour cream or cream cheese. The flavor reminds me of a honeybun. would definitely try the original flavor next time. Tried BANANA PUDDING DOUGHNUT. Doughnut was nice and moist. Filling is light banana flavor. Cookie crumb is my favorite. It tastes like a combo of vanilla wafers and the filling from oreos delish!

Carlson's is a staple in Annapolis where you could go in there for a donut at 8am and then come back for lunch and eat Thai at 2pm. The Thai food, I could have definitely did without. Order up front at the counter and you can either dine in or take it to go. Seems like most decide to take it to go as your meal comes in a to-go container. Note they don't have plates, so if you plan to dine in, you'll have to get creative with sharing the dishes. We decided on the wonton soup, drunken noodles with beef, and fried rice with chicken. The wonton soup wasn't bad and came with a decent amount of wontons (made with minced chicken). Both the noodles and rice dish came with more vegetables than needed. My drunken noodles came with chicken (not beef as ordered) and was more like a stir fry. Also not spicy like the drunken noodles I'm used to. The fried rice was okay, but lacked that fried rice taste. The Thai iced tea was also just okay - super sweet. The donuts were on point - soft, fluffy, not too sweet. Highly recommend these over the Thai food (hopefully it was an office day).

They serve up pretty good coffee along with a nice selection of treats, including vegan and gluten-free pastries. We tried the vegan muffin, and it was surprisingly delicious--super moist, flavorful, and definitely one of the better vegan muffins we've had. Ended up getting the lavender latte instead, and it was actually really good.

They still don't have spunk, but it's new, and maybe that will come. It definitely has the feel of a fast food place. But they have donuts and coffee. Can you go wrong with that next to the supermarket?? Probably not. The drive through is super convenient too. I didn't give It the 5th star because It lacks the wow factor. But that may come and I'll try again in a few weeks. With Starbucks across the street being my "store" it's going to be a challenge to win my permanent business. What do they have that Starbucks doesn't? I'll give It too that my latte with vanilla and Oatmilk is not too sweet. Ans I can appreciate that.
