    Hummus and falafel
    Debbie V.

Our new favorite place in Stillwater! Great authentic Mediterranean food. The owner was so nice and helpful. We started out with creamy flavorful hummus with falafel. It was lightly topped with a lemon, garlic and jalepeno sauce. The pita chips were so good. I had a gyro wrap-perfect flavor. My husband had the gyro sandwich-it was twice as big. My friend had the chicken shawarma-we tasted it and loved it. Then we all had baklava for dessert. The best! Can't wait to go back.

I found Sandwich Planet to be exactly as described in every 5-star review posted on Google. This is a one-man operation, the food is made fresh, so be patient. You will be well rewarded. If you have the time, dine in the small dining room. It only has 4 tables. And if you are really lucky you will get a chance to meet the owner and have a conversation. He is extremely friendly, outgoing, hospitable and an interesting person to talk to. For us the Falafel Sandwich and a Shawarma Chicken. Both of these are served as hot wraps and came with fries. While these were cooking the owner brough us two cups of Lentil soup with hot, fresh fried pita chips to try. I have not been a fan of lintel soup. This was excellent. Not a drop left in my cup. The seasoning made the difference. The sandwiches arrived and with them a complimentary hummus dip. Very good dip. We finished off the chips with it. And then before we had finished our sandwiches, two samples of fabulous Baklava arrive! A simple lunch turned into a 5-course meal, thanks to the owner. Excellent Mediterranean food served up in a gas station, convenience store! Imagine that!

Cheesy Bites - basically fried cheese curds.

The complimentary hummus and falafel provided by the owner while we waited was OUTSTANDING. Truly, the hummus was so smooth and the falafel were crispy and flavorful. Everything else was just meh. The cheesy bites are basically fried cheese curds. They were good, but the picture on their website looked like some kind of cheese in philo dough, so I was a little disappointed to receive something so different from what was advertised. The fries were a bit soggy once we opened our to go order and the burger was served on a square ciabatta bun which was kind of odd. The falafel wrap had French fries in it and wasn't nearly as good as the falafel on their own with hummus. The couple were working very hard to serve the continual customers that walked through the door. I will visit again to try to donor meats, but will stick to the traditional Mediterranean fare. Would definitely return for the hummus alone!

New favorite restaurant in Oklahoma!!!…read more I've lived in the Middle East and I can tell you this place is an absolute gem for the very healthy ancient cuisine. The greedy part of me thought I shouldn't review this place because the food is so good I don't want the quality compromised by too much customer service but the food has literally compelled me to write this. Friday evening 6:30pm: the place doesn't have a single chair available, tabouli is sold out. Plan accordingly. The Mezza Platter & the Shish Kebab are winners! The tenderloin shish kebab was the best I've EVER had! The tzatziki cucumber yogurt dip was perfectly thick...not runny like other inferior restaurants. The cabbage roll was surprisingly pleasant. I liked the herb olive oil dizzle over the hummus and eggplant dip. I also enjoyed the subtle hint of charred eggplant in the background of the dip. The place is across from Natural Grocers so it's perfectly located for multiple shops and stops. Will I come back? Definitely! Honest review & not paid by anyone to write these words. Also, I'm not AI!

We're a sharing is caring group and I sampled from the other vegan items ordered. The falafel was great, the red onion and cabbage salad was great, and the red lentil soup was sooo good. The meaty meats agreed and enjoyed their vegan, vegetarian, and meat options as well. I'm glad we came in! I wasn't aware they had so many vegan items on their regular menu. This spot is going into the heavy rotation category forthwith!

That said, the food, which I would describe as more middle eastern than Mediterranean (despite serving a kind of deconstructed gyro) is great. It doesn't come out fast because, based on my ability to see into the back to a pretty rudimentary kitchen, it appears that Bibi is a very sweet grandmother that knows how to cook like nobody's business, and she does it all on her own. It also appears that her husband is the sole member of the wait staff. And that's all fine because, unfortunately, it wasn't busy. But they are in desperate need of a kitchen makeover episode on the Food Network. Would I go again for the food, absolutely. Very traditional baklava as well.

First and foremost all the tables were dirty and I never saw them get cleaned once even as people left. The owner watched me trying to wipe stuck food off a table and I thought he would bring a wet towel or something but nope. I could get over this but when I went to pay, and I didn't catch it u til after I left but I ordered the lunch special which clearly says $10.99 on the window but he charged me $12.99 for it. I also tipped $2 on top of that. I wished I had caught the overcharge at the time but I just won't come back now.

I typically don't write five star reviews for places I haven't set foot in, but I had to go the…read moreextra star just because of the attention to detail that this restaurant supplied. I do however definitely know, that I will actually make an in-person visit when able. This was ordered from GrubHub. I can only really speak on my order, I don't know how the other food is, but I'll tell you I'm definitely going to find out. They packaged my meat separate from my salad, so I didn't have limp wilted lettuce. Another key to detail! I ordered a spicy gyro salad. I've had Mediterranean all over the country, and I've never had spicy gyro. I don't know what the sauce is they use but it is phenomenal. My salad itself was huge, and they gave me a ridiculous amount of gyro meat! I mean a TON. They also doubled up on the pita bread, even though I'm not a carb eater, I had to go ahead and knock all that out too hahaha. They paid attention to my request for utensils, which was nice. A lot of places don't. They gave me extra of that hot sauce, plenty of Tzatziki sauce, I just wish I would have been able to ask them for extra salad dressing. It's probably enough for the normal bloke, but I like my salad like soup hahaha. I wasn't in love with the salad dressing, but it was good. I wasn't even able to eat everything I ordered. So I have a nice little snack in a couple hours! I know GrubHub gouges you, so my order was a bit expensive, but dining in, you're definitely getting your money's worth, and then some. I can't wait to go in person and actually have a sit-down meal at this place. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149.
