I had Jerusalem for the first time last week and now I'm hooked. We got this again because I was craving the baba ghanoush! The first time I tried Jerusalem, my husband and I ordered food to-go for us and our friends. We ordered the sampler that came with hummus, baba ghanoush, grape leaves, and pita bread. My favorite was the baba ghanoush! We also ordered the gyro salad plate, chicken and beef kabobs. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I came back again with my husband, this time we sat at the restaurant. We noticed they had MANY to-go orders. The ambiance is simple and the inside of the restaurant is not fancy at all, but it seats enough people and the food is incredible. The service is great. I typically grab my food to go. My husband and I both enjoy the gyro salad. Recommend the small because the large is just a tad more lettuce. It is not enough to justify the price increase. I'd been here before Covid & everything was fresh & tasty but now it's just sad. The hummus & grape leaf rolls tasted as if out of a can, the tabouli was dry & lacked freshness of lemon. All the rice side dishes were very soggy & tasteless. Meats were not spiced properly & very bland. I'm guessing this business was sold to someone else who's cutting corners & just doesn't care. I'm very disappointed with my experience. I chose to have Jerusalem cater my daughter's first birthday. This event was incredibly important to me as my daughteraS has a terminal health issue. There were some basic requests that I had made including having the salad dressing on the side, making sure there would be garlic sauce, and other questions about portion size that I was repeatedly assured would be taken care of. I called twice and even went in person to ensure that these requests would be met. Each time I was reassured. None of these requests were met. We did not get any garlic or taziki sauce. The salad was drenched in sauce and was so soggy it was inedible. And the portion sizes I was shown in the store for the hummus and the majadara were not what we received. Also, the seasoning of the chicken "shawarma" is not authentic and is very salty. 2 stars as the taste of the other dishes specifically the kabab and the baba ghanoush and rice were very good. read more

Just had lunch here and this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Usually yelp is pretty spot on. I love Mediterranean cuisine but this was not what I had hoped for or expected based on the reviews. The first concern I had was the bathrooms, men's restroom was out of order and when I went in the women's restroom it was disgusting. I told the woman who was working there that the toilet was backed up and she said she would fix it but never did - so I went to the restroom at Ace. Alas the food, because the food is what we came for . I ordered the Greek salad and it was overloaded with feta cheese. It was not fresh and the chicken kebab was extremely over salted. Lastly the service, The service was very rough. We had to remind our server multiple times for basic items like napkins or side plates and when she brought our to go box it was broken and then she forgot to bring us a new one. Overall, I was very impressed with Jerusalem. And any place that doesn't require me to fight with my kids about eating the food is a serious WIN. I was craving a gyro and took a quick poll to see where I should go, and this spot became highly recommended. So I took the nice drive from my house to check it out for myself. A friend and I were looking for some international food for lunch, and we found Jerusalem Mediterranean Cuisine. I loved it! We started with the humus which was artfully plated and so creamy. The pita bread was warm and the perfect accompaniment for the hummus. We both chose to have the gyro sandwich because I just can't pass that up- it's one of my favorites. It was packed full of meat and toppings and served with two delicious sauces. We sat near where the food comes out of the kitchen, and every plate that passed by looked delicious. Overall, I'm not sure I would return here. Disclaimer - to be fair, I wasn't very hungry, so I just ordered an appetizer of spanakopita and had some pita on the side! However, even that was only okay. The spanakopita was pretty greasy and small - three small pieces for $5. I was disappointed since someone else had left a good review of it, and I usually love spanakopita! The pita was decent, and the garlic sauce was only okay, not garlicky enough for me. My friends' entrees seemed fairly large, portions wise, which seemed appropriate for their corresponding prices ($10-12 for a gyro sandwich, $13-15 for plates). Although our waitress was friendly, the service was only okay, and the atmosphere reminded me of a faded diner. We had to come to Edmond again so I looked to see what restaurants were close to our destination. Was delighted to see this Middle Eastern restaurant I was not aware of. It was hard to not order one of each on the menu. I ordered spanakopita and my husband ordered the cabbage rolls. Then for the main course I ordered the Kafta kebab sandwich and my husband order with the lamb kebab sandwich. The flavors were marvelous. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the ice tea have that "instant" taste and we prefer brewed tea. Update: ate here again and this time the tea tasted fresh brewed. Yay! I ordered the appetizer sampler, then couldn't help myself and order the Sfeeka (sp?). My husband ordered the Kefka kebab dinner. I snuck a bite of the meat and unlike other times I have tried it this was tender and juicy! And of course it was very flavorful. My food was fabulous. This was the first time that I have actually liked the grape leaf things. The Sfeeka doesn't look like a big deal but wait until you bite into it! Came here for lunch while we were running errands in Edmond one day. Super casual vibes, huge menu. I loved just about everything we had! For two, we did an appetizer sampler which comes with grape leaves, hummus, falafel, and baba ganoush, served with warm pita. We swapped out the baba ganoush for cabbage rolls, and we loved it all, especially the falafel! We also ordered the combo plate with kafta and chicken tawook over vermicelli rice to share and that was plenty of food for the two of us. The kafta was very moist and well made, and the chicken too! I've had kafta and chicken tawook that were too dry at restaurants before and what we had here was perfect. The side salad that came with our dish wasn't anything special but a nice splash of green on our meal. Service was quick, and our waitress was nice. I came here a few months ago, thought I had reviewed but it appears I have not. This was my first time coming here and only my second time ever trying Mediterranean food. The restaurant is in Edmond, in between a few little shops. It is clean inside, nothing really stands out about the place. The staff was very young. The girls working were rather loud talking about events of the prior weekend and just standing around. There were only two customers at the time ( me and one other gentleman). I love to try new restaurants at least once a week throughout Oklahoma. When I asked my waitress for food ideas she was not super helpful. I asked about the labaneh and she really didn't know what it was. I ordered it anyway as it sounded like something good from menu description. I wanted to have a little variety and without knowing much about Mediterranean food, so I ordered a sampler type plate. Although the service was rather lacking, the food was delicious. The labaneh was my favorite. It is a like a cross between a Greek yogurt and goat cheese. It is creamy and light. It was served with a side salad and olive oil and spices that can all be mixed interchangeably with each other. I loved dipping the pita bread with the oil and spices and then to the dip. The salad was so good too. It had a spice on top like mint? I am not sure, but it paired very well. I also had the mixed grilled kabob which had a chicken,kufta and lamb kabobs with grilled veggies on skewers and a side of seasoned basmati rice. I wasn't blown away by these, although the lamb kabob had the most flavor and the rice was good. The plate was $15.99 which was a little overpriced. All in all I would come again to try some other items on the menu. I am convinced that Mediterranean food is very good and worth trying. I luv Jerusalem Mediterranean so it pains me to write this. We've been going here for YEARS (aside from Zorba's) it's one of my favorite places because the food is so good. During & since the pandemic, seems like they've been fairly short staffed with a high turnover in staff. Last week (Tuesday the 13th) we got there right at 11:00am (time on my cell) - Neon "OPEN" sign was on and flashing, door was unlocked and their paper sign was turned to "Closed" (we've been in multiple times well into lunch where they forget to turn it around and people open the door, peek their head in and ask if they're open). I got a call as we were walking in and I saw one of the waitresses roll her eyes, "huff" and throw a towel to the side. (she was mid eyeroll and didn't see me see her do it). Since I was on the phone, I thought, Imma let that go - I get it, I used to work retail. lol. As we were coming in, my husband flipped the sign around to show "Open" and he said to the same waitress (he didn't see the eye roll), "Hey, I turned your sign around for you." She said, (with an attitude) "Well......technically, it's two more minutes until we are open." I was still on the phone, heard that exchange and I told my husband let's just go somewhere else as we turned around to go back out the door. She said, "Oh, but it's okay" and he said "Well...."technically" it's not okay or you wouldn't have said anything" and flipped the sign back to "Closed." We left and went to Thai Delight. We will probably wait a month or so to go back, if we return and she's there, we will go somewhere else. It's unfortunate because the food is 10/10 and that day, service was a big fat 0/10. read more

The baba ganoush had a creamy consistency, but it had too much lemon, and it was very bland; I could not taste the eggplant. I had the combo plate, and surprisingly I didn't have any leftovers, so the portion is smaller than others. The Kufta kabob and chicken tawook were very flavorful and moist.
