I wish there was a less than one star. First of all I never received am appointment confirmation…read more After filling out my paperwork I was brought into a room and was told what the doctor recommended for me. The technician said your glasses are for reading, I said no it's to see that's why I am here. My recent healthy eye exam recommended I se an Optometrist, there might be something else. The first thing she then said we will go ahead and do a health eye exam and that will be $49. I said I just did that and that's why I am here. my intake form had all of the symptoms I have been suffering with. There was a price sheet what I might also need. I already called to make sure they were in my insurance system. I was told yes. I have never ever walked out of a doctors appointment . I felt like I was at a car dealership and they just want to sell you the add one. I can not say anything good about this practice.

They said I had to do both. Gave them my vision and medical insurance cards. Dr was nice and glasses were reasonably price. Next exam was a month away. The day before they called and said that someone marked down I was self pay. Um no. Oh we need your insurance. No you have it and when I was in a photo of it was taken. Oh must be we are out of network then and I would have to pay the entire cost out of pocket as they wouldn't do the paperwork for me to get reimbursed. By this time wasn't going to argue so I just told her to cancel the appointment. She said ok and hung up. Went elsewhere with no issue at all. I went somewhere else and was able to get just a diabetic eye exam with no proof that I had a regular eye exam. They wasted my time. I have since dropped the vision insurance. Since I know now both eye exams are not required like this told me they were, I will go elsewhere.

He called me back on the telephone and spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with me assessing my situation. I was able to get in later that week for an in-person detailed eye exam (because it was not a medical emergency and because of my work schedule). Thankfully all is well. Dr Gustafson is professional, a very knowledgeable expert, explains everything in a way that is easy to understand, and will explain it again if I don't understand. I have been coming to this location for my eyeglasses for a couple of years now and I am a big fan…read moreof them The location is very easy to find. Parking lot is shared by a few restaurants and a faster option with Jimmy Johns. I have never found an issue parking here. Scheduling your eye exam is very easy. Unlike some places, I have never had an issue with calling and they have always picked up the phone. The building inside is very clean and they have plenty of options to pick from. I usually like sticking with Oakleys and they stock plenty of brands. One thing that I love about this place (which I haven't experienced from other locations) is that they are very clear about what my insurance covers and if any discounts from insurance I will get... ahead of time. From my years of coming here, all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. During my exam, they let me know what is covered under my insurance and if I have the options for further testing (which may or may not be covered). However, they do not push for these tests if you say no. The doctor here is also very friendly. He makes you feel like you are family that you haven't seen in a long time. He does not make you feel pressured nor does he pushes for any extra services or tests. Once I was finished with my exam, I brought the script to the front again, and I was free to pick out my glasses. Then they will sit you down, ask if you want any other upgrades if you wanted. Again, I like how they do not push anything extra. If you want basic and low cost, they have no issues... if you want to call all out, they will do that for you as well. I like how this place does give you text messages. They will remind you when your appointment is coming up, and if/when your glasses/contacts arrive.
