Sandbox VR is a fun interactive VR studio which you can sign up for with friends or solo for ~45 minutes of entertainment. Located on rock rose in the domain, the pink garage nearby is probably the easiest parking solution (free) and is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the garage. There's limited street side parking as well but they're usually occupied so make sure to account for some park and walk time depending on the time of your reservation. Sandbox has several game options than you can play and I think most of them can be up to 6 players in a single room. I played the Squid Games version and it started with a quick safety debriefing followed by about 40 minutes of VR play of multiple cute little mini games. I think we played about 5 mini games in total and the score for each player was recorded per game to arrive and the final winning player (me, of course ;]). For those who haven't done a VR Interactive before, it is a cardio workout as you're dodging, running, crouching, and bumping into each other while navigating each stage so dress comfortably! The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the facilities were spacious and clean. Pricing is a bit on the higher end but that seems to be about the going rate for VR activities like this. They do offer you a discount if you sign up for another event after you finish one so if you know you want to come back, you can book another followup for 20% off.

Although it was a fun experience overall (and a good exercise), we didn't get to play for at least 20 min after our scheduled time. The game itself was a tad buggy. The headset was pretty uncomfortable and kept moving around the whole time. At some point my (not sure about others) controller started glitching too and wouldn't do any damage in the game. Same happened with free hand that was supposed to be used for magic. It seemed to have partially stopped registering the movement at some point of the game.

I loved our experience here :) It is such a fun afternoon activity to do with friends. We did the Seekers of the Shard: Dragonfire Experience and it was magical and realistic. You can pick your character and weapon to come alive as. It was $225 for 4 people, and a 30 minute long session. The person helping us out was so unenthusiastic but I thought it was kind of hilarious - like he's asking you whether you want to be the ice sword warrior or the huntress with the magical bow in a dead pan voice funny. The videos they provide you afterwards are so fun! I wish they had a subscription service or something because this is absolutely something I could see myself doing once a month or something. Just do it!

An experience that you should try at least once! Fun VR games that you can play with up to six friends at once. We opted to play the newly Squid Games version with six people. I felt like the room was a bit small for the activities we had to but overall the experience was trippy, and fun. Kinda neat how VR can mess with your sense of balance, and perspective. I do think Sandbox is a bit expensive for what it is, and it is a time commitment to have to sign in, put on/take off gear, and instructional videos.

Randomly dropped in for a fun VR time Wednesday night and Malcom took care of us amazingly playing the pirate game! Tons of great games to break the ice or just catch up with friends and a fun workout to boot! We didn't realize you couldn't just walk in and quickly reserved a spot online for our personal game session! Up to 6 for a party makes it extra fun. I enjoyed how much more spacious and interactive Sandbox VR has to play with props wise as controllers and being with your party, I would definitely have friends and coworkers get together to do a fun shindig at this space. Fans will help cool you down so I recommend wearing breathable material so you can make sure you get the right clothes out as you will break a sweat. I thank Malcom for such a fun evening and can't wait to be back :)

Was soooo dope! It was seamless to get up and running , the staff was friendly and informative. My main gripe is that there needs to be more "representation" as it was mainly white people to select as your VR self. That needs to change. Other than that, it was fun, engaging and want to do it again.

OMG . I took my 13 year old son in I was not planning on playing with him but I had to bc his friend didn't show up .. it was amazing , fun, all the above definitely got my workout in today and my son loved it he definitely wants to go back with a group it's a lot of fun with 4-6 people .. Mario Montez helped us put our equipment on , explained everything to us even gave us hints when we got stuck in the game !! The equipment was cleaned very well .. Took our 14 year old son and 10 year old daughter along with my sons 13 year old best friend. They had soooo much fun the first game we let them play another. I would have joined in but I get vertigo easily. Awesome staff and a great adventure just 45 min from our hometown. Definitely worth the trip and experience. read more

Went here on a whim, as we had some downtime during our vacation and wanted to try a VR experience. It was AWESOME..!! Our group of 5 did the Deadwood Mansion and everyone had an amazing time. Booking was easy since you can see all the time slots available online. I read reviews about being on time and since we were not from around here, we decided to get here first and book a session in the store. Parking was ok,.. we did have to drive around twice to find parking; although, after, we did find that there was more parking behind the center. The studio was nice & clean with good AC, which is much needed since the session left us pump and sweating!! The video and audio was amazing and it felt super immersive with the heat/fan, and vibrations..! We would definitely want to try Deadwood Valley!! SO. FREAKIN. FUN! My boyfriend and I came here for a lil Saturday date night. We did Deadwood Mansion, and we killed SO MANY ZOMBIES. We were decked out in dope VR equipment that was the perfect amount of badassery without being too heavy. Frances was awesome. He got us all checked in, informed, and ready to go. Seriously I can't wait to go back. It's the biggest adrenaline rush and a great way to bond with your friends and family. I'm super stoked to try out all the other games they offer! read more

A bunch of thieves. Supposedly someone stole my credit card number, expiration date, and security code and used it to reserve a party of $329.13 online. Called my bank to resolve. Called the manager to let them know that someone was going to rip them off for a free service since charge was being disputed as it wasn't mine. The manager was unhelpful and laughed. They're used to accepting fraudulent funds. Fully aware that someone was using stolen money to pay for their goods, and they saw no problem with that. They don't even require you to put in a billing address and/or zip code before running a charge. No verification of ID. True criminals. Wouldn't doubt they're washing money. But I guess that's for a higher power to figure out. read more

OMG this place is the Bomb Diggity! If you have been looking for some safe fun away from huge crowds of people Sandbox VR is the place for you! It is so clean and their staff is amazing and just as excited as you are to have a good time! Francis was our guide and he was so kind and upbeat! Their experiences feel so real and they have some amazing ones to choose from. I went with a group of 5 friends and we did the Deadwood Mansion to go with Spooky Season and we paid $33 each with an October promo which was a steal, but I would have totally paid full price because it was an unforgettable time. Also they make a cool video of everyone playing and will send it to you to share on your social media which is so awesome because other places make you pay for videos, but it's included with the experience. I will definitely be coming back to try the other experiences. read more

The first two times we came we played deadwood mansion and had a blast. Game play was awesome and everything worked like it should. Today was a totally different experience playing deadwood valley. It lagged the entire time, guns had a mind of their own and my mic didn't work. They had to pause the game for about 5 minutes in the very beginning to try to get everything working correctly. Guns still didn't respond like they should and it was very frustrating. No apologies in the end for the issue we clearly had. Just tried to sell us another visit and a $50 box of candy. Not sure if it's the game, lack of up keep or both. Buyer beware. read more

The Wife and I decided to try out the UFL game for Valentines. It is very fun and It. Is. A. Workout. You're going to end up sweating a bit if you pick UFL so wear something comfortable. Felix provided great commentary during the match. The controls were very user friendly and the instructions prior to the game are simple to understand. Been to a few sandbox locations and I got to say I was pretty disappointed with this one. The new location is awful because the rooms are no longer enclosed. Other loud groups ruin the experience. Plus my headset kept hard shifting right. They said because I was along the edge when I was in the middle. Seemed like a calibration issue to me. Completely disregarded my input and I was sent on my way. read more

I'm not a big gamer but this was the coolest/best experience I have ever done. Its even better when you do it with a group of people. I did the star trek and deadwood mansion and wish I would have come earlier to do the other three they have. No motion sickness like other VRs. Even though I knew it was fake it still felt real. I am amazed at what they can do The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. They walked us thru everything. helped us download the live video on our phones and facebook accounts. I was in town for 1 day only and next time when I come back I will definitely come back. 5 stars all the way. McKenzie was the most helpful of all. Ask for her every time. read more

If I lived closer I would would be at this joint two or three times a week, and in the best shape of my life. The games are all fast paced and high energy, but does it feel like a workout? Not at all, until you realize when you are so SHWEATY. It's like burst sprints mixed with body weights and maybe some yoga? I just know that I loved it in a way that I haven't loved physical activity since I was in my teens. The staff was all super friendly too. The perfect kind of friendly as well. Polite, informative, but not all fake high energy/chatty like your at a kids camp. It was nothing but good vibes. It was fairly busy when we went, which means we had to cycle through rooms pretty fast, but there are so many rooms! You can always go back for your favorites again later, and some of the ones that "looked" boring were actually the most fun for me. I was practically BEGGING them to give me a membership, but they don't do those... Yet? There was some discussion of some locations offering memberships as a trial run, and that it might become a thing nationwide. *fingers crossed* GO!

It's a lot to pay, especially for a big group, to not be able to play for your fully booked time, at your booked time, and to have your game cut short. Buyer beware.

Metaverse sets up taking the sun shine direction into consideration too. They have the chairs. They have great awnings. The gaming screens on the truck have shadow boxes. They have a huge fan too for a breeze! Inside the truck is the VR stations and a new super cool driving VR option. Ok - so they take care of everything to get set up. Then - they take care of the kiddos (and novice adults too) ensuring that everyone picks games the like, and have instructions on how to play (if needed). Stacey watched the outside gamers, Travis stayed inside with the VR players. The biggest and the toughest critics were the kiddos- and they all had a great time playing with the Metaverse games. Our crew was primarily 7 - 9 year olds. But even the old folk parents enjoyed everything. In summary - we are so glad we used Metaverse at our kiddo's party. My platoon had executed and competed in Lasertag, Bubble soccer, dodgeball, combat archery, chilled out ate lunch (you are allowed to bring outside food except drinks. You buy drinks there which is pretty cool still). During break time my platoon occupied themselves in air hockey, basketball, and their gaming stations! It is a Fun, epic and amazing place! I recently had the opportunity to play The Squid Games at Sandbox VR, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From the outset, I was excited about the promise of an immersive virtual reality adventure, but the reality fell disappointingly short. First and foremost, the customer service for the staff was lackluster. We arrived 15 minutes before our gameplay and waited over an hour to play. We were told, after asking, that they run behind an hour on weekends. There was no communication from any of the staff as to what was happening. Additionally, the game suffered from frequent technical glitches and crashes, disrupting my gameplay and further contributing to my disappointment. It's evident that more thorough testing and optimization were sorely needed before releasing this game to the public. In conclusion, my experience with The Squid Games at Sandbox VR left me feeling let down and frustrated. The subpar graphics, clunky gameplay, and technical issues make it difficult for me to recommend this game to other virtual reality enthusiasts. There's a lot of room for improvement, and I hope the developers will consider addressing these issues to provide a more enjoyable and engaging experience for players in the future. read more

My equipment broke at the beginning of the game and the workers and the owner tried to tell me it was still working. The gun didn't shoot. I raised the issue more than 30 times while the game was going that all I could do was just watch. my 5 man group that paid over 200$ for this was ruined. I spoke to the owner and he even doubled down that I was the one that was incorrect and the one gun I had was the only one that shot once maybe every 30 seconds or more. How do you fight a horde of zombies with 2 bullets a minute? Then I even said hey can we just go again because the game broke. He refused and said the only thing possible was to refund the 1 person's game time. Expect five 1 star reviews. Its ridiculous hes selling a service and not a product but cant let us try again even at a later date when they arent busy? I see him offering it to some other reviewers. read more

Came for a girls night left in tears. YOUR EMPLOYEES TAKE PICTURES UP WOMENS SKIRTS. Unbelievable and sickening. Never once have I felt more vulnerable and taken advantage of. I have never felt so uncomfortable and violated in a professional establishment. This is unforgiving behavior. I don't know if this has happened to other women but I wouldn't doubt it. So much fun, the employees got us suited up quickly, and I liked the short 10 minute prep time before starting the game. This was a blast. I am a video gamer and dragged my 3 non-gamer friends in the door kicking and screaming. They had just as much fun as I did and we got an incredible vacation video as a souvenier. Absolutely terrible customer service, if something goes wrong don't expect anyone to do anything about it. The workers can give you a manager's number, but no one will ever answer. Also they do not reply to their emails that they ask you to write them on to discuss problems. Their replies to help you "solve problems" are them saving face. read more
