And IMO the portion sizes are perfect, not demanding the carry out box every single time. The bar is also good, and if you're going to treat yourself, yes, they'll use Clase Azul tequila and do it well. The interior has been redone a bit, mostly in the tables, since we were last there, and it's an improvement. They still have the garage-style roll-up doors for opening up to the patio in good weather. (Not today, thanks, too hot out.) Christian was our server and was timely and anticipatory and professional and endured my Spanish.

Their Pechuga Gratinada a la Parrilla Platter with grilled chicken breast topped with melted Monterey Jack cheese, sauteed mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers was served moist with a tad bit of heat. My Chile-Relleno Poblano pepper stuffed with chicken arrived with a healthy amount of cheese and ranchero sauce, and served with guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, and refried beans. One nit, their tortillas are store-bought, according to Plus 1. They do have a full bar, and we both found that their Margaritas were a tad too sweet for us. When we arrived we told them this was our first time. The host spoke to someone, and out from the kitchen comes a sample tray with five cups of food to sample. Carne Asada, chicken, pastor, chorizo and Pableno Pepper sauce. We ordered the Cali Burritto. A Carne Asada burrito with fries, pico, and other fixings. It was huge, even after cut in half. I opted for two tacos, pastor which came with a slice of grilled pineapple and Chorizo. Both served on hand made flour tortillas and they were great. We also got an order of cheese fries. A small bowl of McDonald's size fries with shredded cheese and a light cheese sauce melted on top. It was great, paired with a homemade jalapeño ranch sauce. Finished with a fresh strawberry horchata drink in a large mason jar and a mango melon drink. 6:50 each, yet well worth the cost.
