Chicken Burrata
Brett H.

Love love loved everything about the experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing food, good free bread, BYOW and free parking! Tip: it's not really a private parking "lot" as others mentioned, it's a row of parking spots for the whole strip mall (under the under the 14th st viaduct.). BYOB. Two Italians run it. Great pizza. White table cloths but they are not pretentious. signature dish is: "Chicken Burrata" its chic parm w/ vodka sauce and a burrata ball on top. Very Good. Lot of cheese and only complaint is the ball is cold so ended up cooling off the pasta too and made the dish kind of cold. May need RSVP on w/ends (Resy). They have a rewards VIP program. Chicken Burrata (amazing)

Amazing spot. 1) I think this is a must visit Italian restaurant. Only issue is, it is kinda fancy inside. So, I felt a little awkward coming in on a rainy day with my hoodie on. 2) The must get item is the chicken burrata. It is beyond good. 3) Will try their desserts next like their rainbow cake and tiramisu.

I've been meaning to try San Giuseppe for years. I enjoyed the calamari, and loved the vodka sauce pizza. The best part too is that there is a parking lot, which is hard to come by in Hoboken. The service was great! My waitress was very nice. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable.

I love the penne vodka pie here so much so I wanted to try the vodka pizza without the pasta to see how it compared. It still had the bold, smoky flavor that I love, but I think the penne vodka pie is better as the penne gives each slice more satisfying texture. The vodka pizza had a very thin, charred crust so it wasn't as filling. We also tried their fried mozzarella sticks. These were good. They are made with seasoned homemade batter and are definitely higher quality than average. Their italian eggrolls are also very tasty.

Easter Sunday dinner at San Giuseppe and it was worth the drive into Hoboken. It was quiet but 2 tables of families, a few take out orders, and the open pizza oven area kept things lively. The crispy fried ravioli with a creamy ricotta center served with a great marinara made for a great start to dinner. Food served hot makes all the difference so we enjoyed it. For main I had eggplant parm with the great marinara and fresh mozzarella. I appreciated it being served hot but it was missing something and found the taste too plain. It's served with broccoli and carrots but you can get pasta instead. The other entree was a teriyaki salmon, yes an Asian style dish in an Italian place and yes my husband got it. Taking the chance payed off and it was good, fresh, nice sauce served with a delicious rice with some flavor that we couldn't figure out. We were 3 for 3 on the great temperature! Even though we were stuffed, we just had a feeling the tiramisu would be good and it was! The place was mostly empty so service was fast and efficient. We'll be back with the kiddos.

San Giuseppe is a (almost literally) hidden gem in Hoboken. In my handful of experiences, I'd put their food up against almost any Italian spot in Hoboken. The Chicken Burrata is the star, one of the best dishes I've had in Hoboken. Penne topped with thin crispy chicken cutlets, coated in a rich vodka sauce, and served with fresh (made in house I believe) burrata on top. It's incredible. Huge portion, worth every penny. Regardless of what else you get, if someone at the table orders the chicken burrata then you'll leave highly satisfied. And Giuseppe is a damn nice guy as well.

Love this place. The lasagne and eggplant parm are amazing. You also have to get the rainbow cake for dessert. And they're are BYOB!

The staff are incredible and so hard working and attentive. Thank you for making an anxious new mom feel so comfortable. This is THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT in Hoboken. Every salad is delicious. Authentic Italian... As long as you order their homemade pasta. Please note that on the menu they have a specific section for the pasta they make by hand and the pasta they do not. I heard a table next to us saying something again to the positive taste homemade but they ordered from a section where it didn't say it was lol. What makes this place great is you can pretty much make whatever kind of dish you want when it comes to the pasta. They offer a variety of sauces as well. Surprisingly on this night, I wasn't very hungry and I ended up only getting their soup, which was also delicious. The chicken franchise was delicious, as well as the eggplant Parmesan. However, looking around at the restaurant, I can see the winner is the chicken Parmesan and the muscles. They seem to be very popular dishes. Not only is the food here great, but it is affordable. The only mention I will make as a knock against it is it gets extremely loud in there. This is not somewhere you want go for a date... Or if you intend on talking to anyone you're eating with and hearing what they have to say haha. That's only for the indoor section though. I'm sure outdoor is less intense with the sound. We will definitely be back!

Linguine and clams was so bad it was pretty much inedible. Burnt garlic taste and almost no clams, couldn't find them, awful, like a 1 from 1-10 THE GOOD: Artichoke hearts francaise were good, but a small portion relative to the price Halibut with burnt butter was tasty. Again just beware, a high price point for this dish. Shrimp marinara fra Diablo was definitely spicy and was solid. It would be ideal if there was more pasta though, so make sure to request that (although you really shouldn't have to) Pasta w/ shrimp/clams/mussels was good THE DRINK: Can't remember the wine, but the Negroni before dinner wasn't good, and seemed like someone didn't measure, but free poured

There's only 8 tables? It's pretty small inside and cozy. The staff was so nice, they really make you feel welcomed. They start you with bruschetta and warm bread. Yum. We also tried the special fried calamari & arugula salad, rigatoni carbonara ( basically Alfredo) and the veal parm. They split everything for us, which was really nice. We also tried famous ice box cake - so good! Would recommend if you've never been! Don't forget cash!

I…read morehad been eager to try their pies, as well as their full meals, but only just made it to their dimly lit, hip and happening main dining room. The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. I ordered the Mexican street corn, which was unique, flavorful, and delicious. I also tried some of the spicy rigatoni and loved it. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.
