Interesting concept and got curious so we booked and paid for it on Resy. We were the only customer at seating. The chefs were very friendly and we talked the whole time. Food was good but expected something better. Overall a great time and would recommend it for a different dinner experience.

We went here with our friends who have been here before. It's an intimate 4 seat counter where you pay $50 a person in advance on a reservation. It's a chefs counter experience. It looks like a whole in the wall take out place for pizza. The atmosphere and ambiance is nothing special. The service is impeccable though, I felt instantly welcomed. It's very cool to watch the chefs make all the different pizzas. It's a timed 1 hour experience and they really keep to the time. They ask you if you have any allergies but other than that you don't get to choose anything, they serve you what they want. $50 a person to share two salads, 4 large pizzas plus each person gets their own desert is a great deal. Unfortunately the owner said he is going to raise the price to $100 a person but have pizzas with fancy ingredients like lobster, scallops, lamb shank, wagyu and caviar. It's an intimate experience but it kept getting interrupted by people coming in for take out orders. Also if you go by yourself or as a couple the other seats can be randos, and then you share the food with them. The food itself is pretty good. I liked the Caesar salad a lot. I think the dressing has anchovies in it which I like. My favorite pizza was the mushroom one, which we got lucky on because he had fresh truffle and sliced a lot on top of the pizza. It was amazing. My friend likes the bulgogi a lot. Lots of interesting and unique flavors on a pizza done very well. I prefer the more classic flavors so I think that's also why I like the truffle pizza the best. Also the desert was delicious, I inhaled it. Amazing little cheesecake. Very light and fluffy. Next door is a cocktail bar owned by the same person. You can bring the food there and eat. Amazing cocktails. We went on a special Negroni night and had a chocolate Negroni for only $12. Normally the drinks are $16 or $17. It was the best Negroni I ever had. So smooth, not too strong and I tasted the chocolate and it had a big juicy orange in the center. Lovely establishments kinda off the beaten path. Make your way out though you won't be disappointed.

Omakase, but make it pizza! The ultimate Chef's Counter experience! A small hole-in-the-wall establishment that's worth the trek to Jersey City. There's a bar next door owned by the same gentleman -- he was exceptionally kind and welcoming! There's only 4 seats available for the chef's counter, but it makes for a very personalized and intimate experience. I'm a vegetarian and they were easily able to accommodate. I started off with an amuse bouche of tomato/eggplant on a tortilla crisp -- delicious! We then had two salads to share, the Caesar and the Roasted Veg -- both were delightful and the chili vinaigrette was divine! For pizzas I was able to try the Tartufatta and the Elote. The truffle flavor paired well with the caramelized onion on the Tartufatta and the Elote had the perfect amount of spice. The two other pies had meat but my friends loved them! They packed a caramel chocolate cheesecake for us to-go and by the end of the hour we were stuffed! For $50 per person, this experience is a STEAL and a must-try!

Chef's counter but make it pizza! One World Pizza is a unique experience and likely the first and only of it's kind in the area. With only 4 counter seats, you can have a private experience with some of the best pizza you'll ever have. I love the quote they used that they're not pizza chefs but they're chefs who make pizza. That's exactly the vibe here. While you'll still have your traditional red sauce pies if you want, they truly shine on the in the unique pizza offerings such as the Bulgogi pizza. However, don't discount the red sauce pizzas because the Burrata Pie is the best I've ever had - that sauce is incredible. Everything is made in house and the dough is absolutely perfect: crispy and thin with no flop. I highly recommend this place for any pizza enthusiasts!

A hidden gem and incredible experience. The ambiance is intimate because there are only 4 seats. This allows you to interact with the staff, who are very friendly and knowledgeable about their cuisine. Now the food... WOW!!! You get an amuse-bouche, 1 shareable salad per two guests and one pizza per guest!!! Such an incredible restaurant and experience all around!

This is a niche, even unassuming, option on the menu, but the ingredients alone are intriguing and suit my taste perfectly. The pizza was baked to order and eaten fresh; the heat and smoky aroma were satisfying. The crust was thin, yet still achieved a perfect balance of crispy crust and soft, chewy interior. A thin layer of cheese provided just the right amount of creaminess; the Brussels sprouts offered a subtle yet rich flavor, while the salty umami of the marinated anchovies occasionally shined and, accompanied by a very subtle hint of brinyness - seafood lovers will appreciate it. A squeeze of lemon juice brought a refreshing twist to the pizza, making it a perfect accompaniment to seafood. However, a touch of lemon was recommended; otherwise, the acidity will overwhelm all the layers of flavor.

Around the corner and there is more seating there. I made a reservation and they honored it even though we were about 45 mins late, (oops!) but I completely appreciate them getting us in. We ordered kale salad, and garbanzo beans to start and meatballs then a margherita pizza.... everything was delicious and fresh. The quality was def there! My only complaint is the tight spaces , you're all up in each others spaces but it's not all bad. Also we ordered our kids Shirley temples and they charged us for "mocktails" meaning they were $7 each! For some sprite and a few cherrie?! Excessive! You've been warned lol. Try this place when you're in JC!

If you knew me, I always considered pizza as a separate food group aka the sixth main food group! Established in 1982, this small family-owned cash-only restaurant has been a beloved neighborhood staple known for its authentic Italian pizza along with other Italian dishes and a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere. With a glut of pizza joints, how would this pizzeria from Larry and Joe compare to others I've tried in the neighborhood!? PURCHASE [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 3.5 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($5.00): A large container filled with oddly similarly-sized rings, these were hot, medium-browned, semi-crunchy, and didn't have a tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (not sweet Maui) stayed intact. This was a massive pizza with a ton of fresh toppings, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce with an incredibly crispy yet soft crust. This was simply an impressive pie, indeed! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=-5ich-E3lcSWgrzXYPVisA SERVICE I called ahead and placed my order with a friendly gentleman whose name I couldn't recall. I was told it would be ready within 45 minutes which was fine. I arrived a bit early to a very busy pizzeria, to which I waited an extra 15 minutes before my order was done and packed up. No worries, as I watched TV and simply observed the "mayhem" in this place. I wasn't in a hurry, so all was good - grazie! PARKING (Street; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 20-minute walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of spots (no known private lot) along the main drag of Newark Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A simple interior layout https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=YA57QUy6J9z38Y_Kkkay_A with a tidy dining area of booths and a couple of small tables, a bar table along one wall, and the order counter that looked into the kitchen at the back. There was one TV (volume on) while there wasn't any background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=4WAmbzYptvChB1edodHcSQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Larry & Joe's Pizzeria was an incredible example of a close-knit family eatery that was lovingly supported by the neighborhood and vice versa, which gave me the warm-and-fuzzies. From tasty food, large portions, reasonable prices, good menu selection, and wonderful service, this place hit all of the feels. And, I always loved supporting small businesses whenever possible. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $54.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). Sadly, they were CASH ONLY (my only knock), so no AMEX! 4.0 STARS

The eggplant was very good, but the sauce and the sauce for the garlic knots to dip, were a bit too sweet for me. The eggplant came with a huge portion of spaghetti. Short version: I came to New York for the first time and was excited to try Krispy Pizza after seeing all the Instagram hype. The guys online seem personable, and the pizza looks super fresh. The real-life experience was the opposite. I wasn't greeted when I walked in -- just had about 5-6 employees staring at me. All of the pizzas were already sitting out on the counter, and they just warm up whatever you pick in the oven. We ended up getting 5 different flavors to try out. To wrap it up: this was my first-ever "New York slice." It was good, but not great, and definitely didn't live up to the Instagram hype. I would be down to try their Brooklyn location to see if there's any difference -- but the problem is, I'm visiting, and there are dozens of other pizza spots in New York competing for your business.
