Rarely do you get everything you hope for in relationship with a contractor of any sort. Timely, clean, remarkable outcome and a fair price. However, that is exactly what I received when I had SDPTC come out and clean the tiles on my pool. No more calcium build up. Crystal clear tiles. Exceptional clean up upon completion. Wow is all I can say. read more

The quality of the work is amazing and the guys who came out were incredibly nice, quick and clean. so glad I finally did this!

Their service is highly recommended in terms of the price, the experience, and the quality of the work. Getting an estimate was a breeze and did not require me to meet with them. Scheduling was easy and they arrived right on time. They did an outstanding job and were very careful to minimize any mess while removing all of the extensive calcium deposits around our pool and spa. We have tile edging so they used a salt medium for their high pressure tool. They also blasted away the mold in the corners as a bonus. The crew was very professional and careful. I was impressed. There was a little salt around the pool edge (inevitable) that I easily washed away and it took awhile to fill the pool back up with a hose (anybody with a pool knows this). I wish other home services were this easy and effective. read more

We were referred to this place to have our tile cleaned in our pool. We called needing someone last minute, and they were there the next day. We have glass tile and we're concerned about it being damaged from cleaning, they did not use any harsh chemicals, and it turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend them. Their prices were very fair, great customer service and reliable. I'm posting a few pics of before and after. read more

A Professional team. They arrived right on time and did a great job. The pool looks terrific! read more

It is with pleasure that I write this positive review for San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning. The two young men that handled cleaning the calcium build up on the tile that is only four years old, was removed by their efforts and it looks like new. They were detail oriented, answered my questions, and cleaned up after their work. Thank you for your professionalism. I will use you again. read more

Marcos and his two team members did a great job. He explained things before work started and again at the end. The pool tile looks so much better. To the business owner: I encourage your company to use the telephone more to talk with prospective clients. The woman doing the booking and answering questions would only communicate by email and it was slow to get answers and also not personable. This was the only part of the job that was NOT 5-stars. I would have liked to speak with the owner Roark as many on Yelp have complimented him, but he did give honest and excellent feedback through his team members about being extra cautious with the flagstone that is above and around the pool. Marcos did a small test and the outcome was just what Roark had forecasted. The only other "negative" to mention is they charge 4% if you want to pay with a credit card. We all know credit card companies charge businesses fees for processing credit cards. Most businesses/companies pay these fees as a cost of doing business. Bottom Line: Our pool looks so much better now. read more

The salt and minerals had been building up on edges of the tile and looked bad They came in and made them shine ad look beautiful with no residue between each tile anymore. Thank you guys, beautiful work ! read more

Rating is based on lack of any customer service. Four days ago I supplied all the requested information and uploaded three photos to request an Instant Quote using their website feature and then followed-up the next day with a phone call that went to voice messaging, and I have yet to hear anything from them. I understand businesses may be understaffed/challenged right now, but a simple email or phone call to let the customer know they received the information and will get back to them when they can is common courtesy, especially if their website indicates it is an Instant Quote. read more

Superb service and excellent work. My pool is more than 30 years old. I have no idea when the tiles were last cleaned. They were discolored, dirty and white with calcium buildup. I sent some photos and received an estimate back by e mail. Work was scheduled. Technicians arrived on time, explained the job, and got to it immediately. After a couple of hours they were done. The tiles are shiny. They left me with instructions how to manage the pool over the next few days and how to keep the tiles clean. Great work. Thanks. read more

Roark@sdpooltilecleaning.com is FABULOUS! I called numerous pool cleaning companies and found many of the individuals who answered the telephone to be rude and unprofessional and many of the companies did not call us back. I found San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning on the internet and spoke with Roark who immediately answered the telephone, asked for a photo of the calcium build-up and Roark contacted me shortly after and provided me with a very reasonable quote. Roark scheduled an appointment that was a short time after I first spoke with him and the work they did was fast, efficient, professional and they have my pool looking so beautiful and inviting. Roark was a true professional in every sense of the word, unlike many of the contractors my husband and I have hired. 1. Roark answered the telephone when we called and asked us for a photo of the pool. 2. Roark provided an estimate shortly after we sent the photo. 3. Roark scheduled the work to be done within approximately one week. 4. Roark did not try to upsell us. 5. The price Roark quoted is the price we paid. 6. The technicians who cleaned our pool were very professional and did the job quickly. 7. Two of our tiles got loose from the process and when I contacted Roark, he answered the telephone and told us how to take care of it. Our pool is gorgeous and we cannot thank Roark enough for the superior customer service and making our pool look new again! We highly recommend Roark and his crew! read more

Got rid of of built up calcium on our pool tile. Nice guys did the job quick and left things clean.

This company is fantastic. They are thorough and did a great job on our role and grout! Highly recommend!

Completely stiffed us! We had an appointment for an estimate to repair & clean our pool tiles. We were told to have several extra tiles on hand. We had to search far & wide to find extra tiles, but bought $350 worth of tiles. The day of our appointment, I was informed that Roarke was running late. He never arrived. I called the office and was eventually told that he would come the very next morning. At 10:30 the next morning, while we were still waiting for his arrival, he sent an email saying he was no longer going to do tile repairs. We were left with no other option. Very poor "customer service"! read more

This was a great company to work with. It's nice to have a company that specializes in this specific aspect of pool cleaning. They had all the right equipment, experience, and skills. They were very conscientious in keeping the area as clean as possible during the process, and our tiles look great! Would definitely recommend them, and will use them again as needed. read more

Just want to thank Roark and Daniel for an incredible job on our swimming pool, spa spillway and Baja reef it looks like a brand new pool again no more unsightly calcium buildup on our tile or Quartzsite stone! Why didn't I do this sooner??? I didn't know about San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning! I also didn't realize how relatively inexpensive it is to have my tile cleaned. This company was able to provide me with a quote based upon a couple of uploaded pics of my pool and did the job the next day! I am delighted with the results. I had over 25 years worth of hard water calcium on my tiles. Very unsightly. But it is all off now and sealant applied. My deck and brickwork were even cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend this company. A+ read more

I've used these guys before, but I was disappointed this time. They missed two of the poolside planters that were supposed to be cleaned. I asked them to drain the pool rather than leave it partially filled, and they refused, saying they didn't have the time while acknowledging that they had the equipment to do so. They left the pool equipment off, the pool level down a foot, and a lot if silt in the murky water. Not a bargain price either. read more

This is our second time using these guys. They did a great job on our tile. We have hard water and every couple of years the Calcium really starts to build up on our pool spillway. They did an outstanding job of cleaning and applying the sealer. There was minimal sediment left in the pool after they vacuumed. All pool decking areas were spotless when they left. See them again in a couple of years!!! read more

Reasonably priced, good communications, on time, great finish product.

Great results, professional to work with. Austin was great! Keep in mind it does leave a mess in your pool for a few days, after which you will need to clean your filter. Also some mess around the perimeter into the plants. Will definitely use again in a few years, at least on the spa area more often. read more

San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning was awesome and the price was fair. Our pool tile had terrible calcium lines that I had tried to scrub with pumice and spent at least $50 in chemicals to try to clean to no avail. Roark returned my call promptly, had me text him some photos and gave me an estimate. His estimate was the price I paid. Pretty easy. They arrived on time and started work. Everyone was very cordial and considerate and I think they were here about 4 hours or so. The tile looks brand new now and they cleaned up the deck before they left. I would recommend them without reservation! read more

Roark was great to work with and very responsive. After we had our spa tile cleaned by SD Pool Tile Cleaning, there appeared some spots that still looked white. Roark was here the next day to check it out himself. He had Brooks come back and redo some parts and we also found out that the tile has also lost it's glaze from age and the elements. He made sure we were completely satisfied with the job and we really appreciated it. I will certainly recommend them to anyone who needs their pool tile cleaned. Anne Shuput read more

San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning was amazing. I had a quote within minutes and they fit me in when another company said they couldn't make it until July! They also didn't recommend draining my pool completely to take 3 full days to get the job done! Roark answered immediately and gave me a preliminary quote on the spot. After getting some more details the final quote came in a few hours later. They fit me into the schedule later that week and they were on time and got the job done on time and within the estimate. The work they did was fantastic and they saved my waterline tile and got it looking like new. I am glad I gave them a call they were extremely professional and didn't leave any trace they were even there! They even went the extra mile when they couldn't find the sewer cover. I highly recommend! read more

The guys were efficient, did a good job, but the finish on my stone seems to have been worn off of one of the stones and the calcium build up came back 1 week after because I didn't get the water reversed osmosis'd in time. read more

We had our pool replastered with new Italian tiles installed in 2015. It look like brand new. We're moving out of state in a couple of months and hired this company to remove the calcium buildup. Austin did a fantastic job! Their price was also very reasonable. If we had known about them sooner, we would have done this annually. Thanks again Austin, you were awesome read more

Communication was great, never left me wondering. Brooks did a great job, excellent attitude, thorough, addressed all my concerns and was very professional. I appreciated Brooks asking if I was happy with the job BEFORE putting all equipment away. I was a little miffed when at the end of the job and paying I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. It looked like it was a prompt populated by the payment device but I've never been asked to offer a tip for this type of service. Overall a great job and I'd recommend this company read more

Austin got the job of removing ten years of calcium buildup from pool tile and porous stone water feature. Definitely not a DIY job even for the ambitious; I would have wasted a lot of time and money. It took about six hours but the job was fantastic. The pool looks new, not a trace of calcium anywhere. He made a complete cleanup and now we are ready to party. Based on the great job I asked Roark if he could replace the mastic sealant around the perimeter of the pool. The previous repairman didn't bother to "sand" the sealant after it was poured. The new job is very professional looking. These guys really know what they are doing when it comes to pool cleaning and repair. read more

San Diego pool tile cleaning did an amazing job & at an amazing price. They did what no other pool tile cleaner in San Diego would or could do. I thought my only option was to replace my glass tile due to the heavy calcium build up. Roark & Ivan should up and 5 hrs. later it looks like new, couldn't be happier! Thanks guy! These guys are professional and efficient. Will go the extra mile to make sure your satisfied. Nice to find that these days.

San Diego pool tile cleaning did an excellent job. Showed up on time and the tile looks great.

I had an overall positive experience with Roark and San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning. Very responsive and provide timely, competitive quote. Scheduling was less than two weeks after initial contact. Austin showed up on time, was very polite and did a good job removing the ugly scale/calcium from the pool - tiles look new! The only challenge was the media (powder like abrasive) clean up was not initially very tidy and there was a lot of material on my deck and patio furniture. I called Roark and he very incredibly responsive and they returned the next day to correct. Roark thanked me for providing the feedback to help them improve their service - that is very rare and is a clear indicator of someone who wants to ensure they are providing high quality service! I was very impressed with his high level of communication and determination to ensure I was satisfied with the service. I would highly recommend this company to anyone! Be sure to read the email from Roark that explains what to expect with the service (how much water is drained, when to refill your pool etc., media used etc) before your service so you have clear expectations. Overall, the service is straightforward and requires very little from the homeowner. read more

Roark did a fantastic job removing years of calcium buildup on our Jacuzzi! He was very professional and efficient in his work. Our Jacuzzi tile looks brand new again! Roark not only did this on the spur of the moment for us, we were desperate to get it done before we put new pebble on the pool but he did an amazing job. Super friendly, very competent and reasonably priced. Definitely would trust him to handle any job. We had calcium stains that were likely from 24 years of use and not great cleaning. He got them off and the tiles look brand new now. read more

This is a fantastic company both in terms of quality of work and responsiveness. My pool was scheduled for plaster demolition this morning. I learned late yesterday that they do not clean tile and I would need someone else to do it before the demo! I left a message and Roarke called back immediately. Austin was here first thing this morning, worked along side the demo crew and my tile looks amazing. I can't thank them enough! read more

This was the best thing we have done for our pool in ten years! Roark removed scale and yuck from our pool tile in just hours and sealed the tile to keep it off. Worth far more than we paid. The pool looks brand new. We had Mission Pools do the same cleaning after the fire several years ago but the results were very disappointing. We thought we were stuck with an ugly pool. Roark's work made it look like a new pool! Roark is a volunteer fireman so in addition to being a great company, well worth supporting!! read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. Their service is top notch. The pool looked so unsightly with all the white calcium build up. San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning is a great company. The tile around our pool, and particularly the spillway between our spa and pool, had heavy calcium buildup. We used to clean it ourselves with harsh chemicals and lots of hard work, but hadn't done it in years. I was afraid that we would have to replace the tile on the spillway because our earlier efforts had removed a lot of the tile glaze. I found San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning online, got an estimate, and booked the job. Roark cleans the tiles with a process that does not use harsh chemicals and he seals the tile afterward. Our pool now looks like it has brand new tile! I highly recommend this company. read more
