Marcos and his two team members did a great job. He explained things before work started and again at the end. The pool tile looks so much better. To the business owner: I encourage your company to use the telephone more to talk with prospective clients. The woman doing the booking and answering questions would only communicate by email and it was slow to get answers and also not personable. This was the only part of the job that was NOT 5-stars. I would have liked to speak with the owner Roark as many on Yelp have complimented him, but he did give honest and excellent feedback through his team members about being extra cautious with the flagstone that is above and around the pool. Marcos did a small test and the outcome was just what Roark had forecasted. The only other "negative" to mention is they charge 4% if you want to pay with a credit card. We all know credit card companies charge businesses fees for processing credit cards. Most businesses/companies pay these fees as a cost of doing business. Four days ago I supplied all the requested information and uploaded three photos to request an Instant Quote using their website feature and then followed-up the next day with a phone call that went to voice messaging, and I have yet to hear anything from them. Superb service and excellent work. My pool is more than 30 years old. I have no idea when the tiles were last cleaned. They were discolored, dirty and white with calcium buildup. Completely stiffed us! We had an appointment for an estimate to repair & clean our pool tiles. We were told to have several extra tiles on hand. We had to search far & wide to find extra tiles, but bought $350 worth of tiles. The day of our appointment, I was informed that Roarke was running late. He never arrived. I called the office and was eventually told that he would come the very next morning. At 10:30 the next morning, while we were still waiting for his arrival, he sent an email saying he was no longer going to do tile repairs. We were left with no other option. Why didn't I do this sooner??? I didn't know about San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning! I also didn't realize how relatively inexpensive it is to have my tile cleaned. This company was able to provide me with a quote based upon a couple of uploaded pics of my pool and did the job the next day! I am delighted with the results. I had over 25 years worth of hard water calcium on my tiles. Very unsightly. But it is all off now and sealant applied. My deck and brickwork were even cleaned up afterwards. I've used these guys before, but I was disappointed this time. They missed two of the poolside planters that were supposed to be cleaned. I asked them to drain the pool rather than leave it partially filled, and they refused, saying they didn't have the time while acknowledging that they had the equipment to do so. They left the pool equipment off, the pool level down a foot, and a lot if silt in the murky water. Not a bargain price either. read more

This is our second time using these guys. They did a great job on our tile. We have hard water and every couple of years the Calcium really starts to build up on our pool spillway. Austin got the job of removing ten years of calcium buildup from pool tile and porous stone water feature. Definitely not a DIY job even for the ambitious; I would have wasted a lot of time and money. It took about six hours but the job was fantastic. The pool looks new, not a trace of calcium anywhere. He made a complete cleanup and now we are ready to party. Based on the great job I asked Roark if he could replace the mastic sealant around the perimeter of the pool. The previous repairman didn't bother to "sand" the sealant after it was poured. The new job is very professional looking. Austin showed up on time, was very polite and did a good job removing the ugly scale/calcium from the pool - tiles look new! The only challenge was the media (powder like abrasive) clean up was not initially very tidy and there was a lot of material on my deck and patio furniture.
