I would give this place a 4.5 out of 5 but I can't figure out how to do that, it only lets me do 4/5. I came here with my mom to try out some dishes, I ordered the chicken and rice bowl with no veggies and my mom ordered the steak wrap, pot stickers and edamame. My mom also said that the tea here is really good and she drinks a lot of TEA! The cashier was very polite and calm, and the staff is also calm. When you walk in there, there is a cash register right up front and tables and chairs. There is music that is not to quiet or loud, so if your talking you can here your mate or if your lonely you can here the jams while your eating. Our food took about 10 minutes because there were orders in front of us but that's pretty quick. The chicken is greatly cooked and the rice was a great addition. They also cater so if you are having an office party this would be great. My mom said that her wrap was way to messy but had superior flavor, my bowl was amazing and I could eat here every day for lunch and dinner but I wouldn't be able to eat here for breakfast because I don't eat breakfast. First time here was to get a shrimp wrap to go. The place was half full but the order took over 10 minutes. The staff were really nice and gave me 2 extra sauces to go with my order. The food was good, not very flavorful without the sauce. For the price I paid I think I will make this a rare stop. read more

Have been coming here for 2 years and have always loved the service and food. Today the service was great but they changed their Teriyaki Bowls recipe. They have over powered the bowl with carrots and no longer have bell peppers or zucchini in the bowl. Totally changed the taste of the bowl for the worse. I don't know if I'll be back now. read more

I have been coming here for years but I will not be coming back any longer. This place has turned into a mess. They can't keep ahold of the same staff or management and everything is going downhill for this place. They have been firing all of the good staff who have happy faces and now I get treated like garbage from the staff. The food takes way too long to be handed out when they aren't even busy half the time. I always have to make sure I check the bowls before I go home to make sure my food was made correctly. I always get their salmon and it's usually pretty good and decent size. I ordered the salmon yesterday and it came to me in pieces burnt and extremely small thin portion. Very disappointed! Probably won't be back anytime soon. read more

Place is small, the food is limited to on what you want. It's a nice place for a quick grab for lunch. Nothing extreme but nothing bad. Place is an alright spot. Been here for years finally went in to try it. Will be back but won't be my first choice of food. read more

My daughter and I stopped into to get something to eat Saturday night, we ordered our food. There were already 2 orders before us. The girl told us ours would take about 15 minutes cause she ordered the salmon. So we said ok, in the meantime there were several people who came in after we already placed our order, but yet those people got their food before us. After everyone coming in after us got their orders, they decided to start our order, instead of doing the orders in order of placement and started ours, we were last to get our order, which was like 30 minutes. It shouldn't take 30 minutes to do an order of rice, veggies and salmon. Especially when we were told 15 minutes, fdoesn't take 30 minutes to cook a piece of salmon. On top of it a bunch of teenagers were running the place and the girl checking us out, was wearing improper short shorts. Not a very good way to run a business. I will definitely not be coming back to this location. Hope your other locations are better managed. Very disappointed. And to be honest I'd wouldn't even give you 1 star. read more

Yaki Soba here I come, this Sams is my favorite location because it is on my way home. I always get service from the same man at the register...think he is the owner. The location is small like most but the area is nice and the store is clean and comfortable. I mostly get the Yaki Soba (hope I am spelling it right) but occasionally I get the teriyaki bowl but I always get these with chicken made spicy. I even buy the Samurai Sam sauce and take it home in case my wife makes something that has no flavor and I dowse it with the stuff. read more

Austin is the best employee hands down, super professional and down to earth this kid is the hardest worker during a rush. Always talking to customers and making sure food is hot and getting out of the kitchen. I will always make sure to come back here even though I'm in the east valley. read more

Stark contrast between this location and their other location in phoenix in terms of ambiance and food. was extremely excited to get my teriyaki craving fulfilled after having gone to their other location and loving the food, so i had high expectations. Also for the fact that they are healthier than other japanese/teriyaki places, i was excited. From the inside, looks more like a really cheap, old takeout place, but very clean nonetheless. I was still hoping for a great vegetable teriyaki brown rice bowl. What I got was hardly any veggies that were watered down and no flavor at all, i don't even think they added any teriyaki sauce and the food was not hot. Overall, sad waste of $5, I ended up going home and adding my own teriyaki sauce and siracha. Only gave it 2 stars because the person at the register was very helpful. If you want to try this place, definitely, DO NOT go to this location, it was very disappointing. read more

I really enjoy the food here! I've only been to a few locations but I primarily go to this one. I'm often the lucky one at work who gets to go on "lunch runs" for our staff. I placed a takeout order for my daughter and her vegetarian boyfriend who were in the hospital due to just having a baby. I ordered the bowls and took them to them without checking and when I got there they were incorrect. I eat here EVERY day! GREAT customer service never gets old. I am pretty particular about the way my food is prepared, cooked and handled. Justin, Cody and the staff always treat me very well and accommodate to my needs. The food is ALWAYS delicious and it's quick service and an inexpensive way to eat healthy food. Oh my lord! This place! I would say about a year and a half ago I never even knew this place existed. My brother told me about it, we went, I got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl...by far! And I'm a VERY picky eater, by far the best teriyaki chicken bowl I've had in quite some time! Very flavorful, juicy, not dry, overall delicious! I need whoever cooks this stuff to become a chef with their own show, spin off show, movie, book, memoir! Great place, great food, great service! read more

We come here multiple times a week. Until today I would have given it 5 stars, however, they have changed the packs of sweet and sour sauce. The new sauce is gross, not sweet, and I'm wondering if it's cheaper because the quality isn't good. If they don't change back to the old sauce packets we'll have to look for another healthy fast food option. read more

They need to get back their old sweet and sour sauce this new sweet and sour sauce is disgusting and no one likes this new sauce. When I asked why they changed and got rid of there old sweet and sour I was told that shamrock fooods doesn't carry the old sweet and sour and they have to buy through shamrock now.
