Haru Sushi absolutely lived up to the hype! We were recommended this spot and were excited to try…read moreit, and it did not disappoint. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful interior design. The space feels modern, stylish, and inviting, making it perfect for a date night or even a solo dining experience. The aesthetic bar area creates a great atmosphere, and while we chose to sit inside, they also have a lovely covered patio for those who prefer outdoor seating. The food and customer service were both excellent. Portions were generous, flavors were on point, and every dish we ordered was enjoyable. We started with the Heart Attack, garlic edamame, and shrimp tempura appetizers. The garlic edamame was especially memorable--I loved the addition of sesame oil, which added so much flavor and made it stand out from the typical version. To drink, we ordered green tea and a Sapporo on draft. The Sapporo was light, crisp, and airy--definitely something I would order again. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Sensei Roll, the Screaming "O" Roll, and a nigiri plate from the happy hour menu. Everything was delicious, but the Screaming "O" Roll was the clear highlight of the meal and a must-order in my opinion. Between the beautiful ambiance, attentive service, generous portions, and flavorful food, Haru Sushi delivered a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

Some of their specialty rolls are $50/roll!!! I repeat- FiIFTY American dollars per roll. I don't know that I've seen prices that high even in Scottsdale or Las Vegas. There's no reason that this casual sushi spot should be charging like they're off the coast of Japan in an elite cliffside restaurant. The food is very good, but it's not "I need to finance this meal", $50/roll good. Also.. I asked for the WiFi password (literally titled "Haru Sushi Guest") so I could work on my laptop if needed, just to be told they were not allowed to give out their WiFi password out to anyone (even the staff aren't allowed to use it). Kind of silly to be gatekeeping something as simple as WiFi in the year 2026. I would have loved to make this my new working lunch spot, but between the egregiously high prices and the WiFi witness protection program, I'll be skipping it next time.

Tonkatsu - great portion served with a side house salad and white rice and a generous portion of katsu sauce. Really glad we shared this entree between two people. Netflix Roll - a roll that just makes sense. Great flavor, sweet mayo sauce was really good. Perfect bite size. Large Sapporo to share - served in an ice cold cup!! First time here. Our server was incredibly sweet and her smile made us feel at home. The service is great. You can write on the menu to order or just verbal with the server. Space is clean. There's a special menu with Natto Bombs and Uni!! There's more. If we didn't order too much we would have defs went for the Uni. See you soon for the dinner Omakase Chefs choice for $44 next time!! The space was decorated simply and it wasn't loud at all so it was the perfect place to catch up with my friend. The waiters were super attentive and our food came out so quick. We ordered the oshinko roll, seaweed salad, sake nigiri, and bluefin tuna roll which was recommended by the waiter. We loved everything! It was the perfect amount of food for both of us and we left feeling comfortably full. I'm actually not a big seafood person so I loved the addition of vegan rolls on the menu. The use of purple rice was also very cute and made for good photos! It didn't make a huge texture/taste difference so we didn't mind it. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for some yummy rolls. In addition I confirmed that their tempura batter has no egg, so the veg tempura is vegan as well and really delicious. Not sure about the dipping sauce that comes with the tempura though, I would assume it has dashi though I didn't ask. The staff are excellent, everyone is very polite and professional. The place is pretty busy, we came around 7pm on a Friday night and waited about 20 minutes for a table of 4. I do have some notes for the restaurant, for one the tables inside are arranged sort of awkwardly so that it was quite difficult to get out of our table in order to use the restroom, and I had to ask someone in a different party to move their chair. In addition the timing of the dishes coming out is somewhat random. We ordered shrimp and veggie tempura in addition to some sushi, and even though they were appetizers both the tempura dishes came out after the sushi. In addition there was a decent gap in between the veggie and shrimp tempura, so long that we thought maybe they forgot about the shrimp but they didn't. These are just small improvements, still giving 5 stars for the quality of the food and overall service.

The sashimi appetizer was probably the best part, fresh, nice thick cuts, and it even came with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and came with a good amount of salad. The ramen, though, was kind of disappointing, $9 for basically instant noodles and half an egg. The shrimp fried rice was solid, not greasy and a good portion. The spider roll had way too much batter, so you could barely taste the crab. The tuna bomb was small, just a bite-sized tuna-avocado roll, but the tuna pieces were pretty generous. The chicken karaage had good flavor but the batter was a bit thick, and the asparagus roll was just okay. Overall, it was a mix of hits and misses. The sashimi and fried rice were definitely the stars, especially with that fresh wasabi. Give it a little improvement here and there, and this place could really turn out great under the new ownership.
