Located in a place with so many choices this by far was best for us. The beginning of Sunday Fun day. The place is smaller but was cozy. The staff was nice and attentive. We started with a Sake Bomb, it was happy hour on Sunday! Yessss! Next, we order a cucumber salad and a Toosie Roll! The salad was light with so much flavor just like roll. Three for 3 so far. The menu was so big, I didn't even get a chance to check it out. Once looking at the Appetizer's I knew I had to try the baked mussels. The star of the show here. These were the best Mussels I have had in a long time. They were done different then what I am use to. Recreated with crab, scallions and few other ingredients, sauces then baked to perfection. I did want to say as someone that grew up near the ocean, I never had a lot of expectations for the sushi here (no offense to anyone we are just land locked) but for what they have I think my experience was pleasant. I will say the happy hour prices did seem to just be regular priced items. Reading some of these other reviews I probably would not try this place but I did so I shall talk about it. I would try other things on their menu! Oh! my beer for the sake bomb was fabulous iced cold and not flat! I'll take my wins whenever I can!

Food 10/10 definitely exceeded what I was expecting. Idk why it's at 3.8 stars definitely deserves to be 4 or higher. Quality and taste was on point. Service 10/10 very attentive and chef Martin gave me everything exactly on point I asked for. Ambiance 10/10 Would definitely come back here when I come to Arizona.

Came here because where we were headed had terrible directions and the intersections in this area don't allow u turns. Well it was early only 5:30 so thinking maybe a roll on happy hour to try a new spot only to be supremely disappointed at the happy hour from only 2:30-4:30. Anyways almost walked out as soon as I saw that but it was daddy daughter date night before school so we kept going as she wanted ramen. Roll we ordered was okay and so was the sashimi but the broth was really good on the ramen. Service was good and very attentive as it should be since it was only is and one other table. I do however wish I could have been given a better explanation of what it was I was eating on the chef select sushi plate. I'll end with simply it was pricey but good if your in the area

The food is always good. Service is fast Ambiance is a typical neighborhood restaurant. They play jazz music and there are big tvs for watching a game. This place can get busy after 6 pm on weekends. They recently remodeled the inside and added new dishes to the menu. The parking lot can be tricky sometimes because there are other restaurants next to it too, but I always find a spot. We come here very offer.

Food: I ordered the spicy garden and it was so tasty. It was spicy which I liked and then we got the yakisoba which is probably the best I've had. My mom ordered a roll wrapped in rice paper which I personally wasn't a fan of because of the texture. Drinks: we ordered the mango Soju and it was so tasty. You couldn't taste the alcohol it's dangerous haha Service: Wesley our server was great and had good recommendations. The sushi chefs were so friendly too Ambiance: small place but had the nba playoffs on which I appreciated

$15 bento box is incredible. Soup, salad, a sushi roll, AND a choice of meat. Incredible value. Great service!

This place is great. Delicious Japanese food. Quiet but busy. Big TVs on the walls, not my favorite thing. A great place for lunch.

The restaurant itself is definitely on the smaller side but they also have outdoor dining as an option. This is what one would call a hidden gem because we were definitely not disappointed as we were walking away. Once you sit down you'll realize that this is a restaurant where you're having several random servers taking care of you. So once we finally decided on our choices everything came out fairly quickly even with there being a half full restaurant. We started with some pork gyozas which is one of my husband's favorites & he was happily pleased... they were very fresh. We also had some of the tempura shrimp & onion which were both perfectly cooked without being greasy. As for the sushi we went with the shrimp tempura roll which was some of the best, the rice was cooked perfect plus everything was balanced just right. Then we also had the spider roll which I just loved because I love soft shell crab... OMG with the avocado & cream cheese, there were zero complaints on my end! Overall everything that we chose was so delicious that we've since been back to grab take away from here when we're craving some fresh sushi!

So happy to have found a legitimate place for real & fresh sushi in the West Valley!!…read more Previously I would be subject to driving out to Sushi Sen in Scottsdale for sushi/Japanese food. Haru is a nice alternative that is much closer and offers an omakase plate that rivals some of the best sushi you can find in Torrance/LA. The pricing of this omakase is steep at $70 for 8pcs of premium fish plus a toro roll but worthwhile for a special occasion or to get your fix. Pricing on their happy hour seems pretty reasonable as well which is most weekdays until 6pm. Pricing on the rest of the menu is fair but doesnt quite exceed expectations in terms of value for money, especially compared to Sushi Sen. My mom, who is an incredibly tough critic, really enjoyed the soft shell crab tempura and said it wasn't oily or greasy. I have to agree. I enjoyed their "tuna cracker" which is like spicy tuna crispy rice at most other restaurants. I've already been back a second time within the same week and will probably be back again within the month. Highly recommend!

Some of their specialty rolls are $50/roll!!! I repeat- FiIFTY American dollars per roll. I don't know that I've seen prices that high even in Scottsdale or Las Vegas. There's no reason that this casual sushi spot should be charging like they're off the coast of Japan in an elite cliffside restaurant. The food is very good, but it's not "I need to finance this meal", $50/roll good. Also.. I asked for the WiFi password (literally titled "Haru Sushi Guest") so I could work on my laptop if needed, just to be told they were not allowed to give out their WiFi password out to anyone (even the staff aren't allowed to use it). Kind of silly to be gatekeeping something as simple as WiFi in the year 2026. I would have loved to make this my new working lunch spot, but between the egregiously high prices and the WiFi witness protection program, I'll be skipping it next time.

The soup was solid, but like a 6/10 of being hot (temp wise). The pot stickers were solid, but I would have appreciated them if they were a bit cruncher. As for the main meal, the avocado roll was delicious but you can't really mess that up. I loved the lollipop roll even if it is a bituch for just 1 bite. The salmon saahimi was good, quite small. I feel like the nigiri for the same price would have had bigger pieces? I do love that they have fresh wasabi. It is also a nice addition. Overall, it's a solid place. Would be higher if service was more attentive to start and the sashimi was a bit bigger, but overall def worth the visit.

There is a lot of free parking directly in front of the restaurant. There is no outdoor seating, but the space inside is very large. Booths line all of the walls and tables fill the center section of the floor. The back wall has a sushi counter where a sushi chef puts together orders when placed. In one corner of the restaurant is a full service bar. They have specialty cocktails available and they are a few dollars less during happy hour from 3:00 pm to closing. We tried the Blossomtini and the Lychee Martini. Both were quite sweet. The Blossomtini was made with Grand Marnier, triple sec, sake, cranberry juice and lime juice. My mom loved it. The Lychee Martini had vodka, like juice, lychee liquor, and vermouth. My uncle said it was much too sweet for him. I had sweet iced tea. The waitress was great about bringing me a refill before I ran out, and she even offered to make me one to take on the road. Our waitress was very patient with us. It took us some time to make up our mind when deciding what to order. She checked in with us regularly, but gave us plenty of space so that we didn't feel pressured. My uncle and mom wanted spicy sauce, so she brought a small dish of Siracha sauce. Also, our sushi rolls came with golf ball sized wasabi on each plate. She took good care of us. The menu has a variety of sushi choices, but you can also find things for those who don't like fish like ramen and chicken teriyaki. For our appetizers, we had an order of fried calamari and miso soup. My mom isn't into sushi, so she ordered the shrimp and mixed vegetable tempura. It was so light and delicious! She also tried the firecracker with tuna stuffed into half a jalapeño. Unfortunately, it was not spicy at all, but it was flavorful. My uncle and I ordered unagi rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and salmon sushi. It was a lot of food. We were absolutely stuffed. The price tag was about $110...reasonable for three people who were pleasantly full and enjoyed our dining experience.

They also offer $21 lunch specials with upgraded sushi options. Seating was quick and spacious--the dining area is open with plenty of room. While the food came out fast, the service from our waitress was surprisingly slow, especially considering there were only a few other tables at the time. We ordered the spicy tuna roll with beef bulgogi, and the California roll with NY strip steak. Each combo came with miso soup, green salad, white rice, and three pieces of tempura. The sushi was disappointing. Both rolls were loosely wrapped and fell apart easily. The spicy tuna had no real spice or flavor. The California roll was served at room temperature and also didn't hold together well. On the upside, the beef bulgogi was tender, flavorful, and melted in your mouth. The NY strip was cooked perfectly--juicy and tender. The tempura was crisp and light, and the miso soup was warm and comforting. The salad, however, was drenched in dressing--there was easily a quarter cup sitting at the bottom of the bowl. Overall, the entrée portions were the highlight, but the sushi missed the mark. For $18-$21 per meal, I expected more consistency and quality. Nothing really stood out enough to make me want to return.
