I went yesterday for lunch specifically craving the mac & cheese and mussels (they were out of mussels, unfortunately), but the mac & cheese was so rich and satisfying that I wasn't even mad about it. I've been here before and tried a bunch of their cocktails ...you really can't go wrong with any of them, but this time I switched it up and got a virgin painkiller mocktail, which was actually great. The interior, however, is large and warm and welcoming. The bar is very prominent, perhaps even disproportionate to the seating spaces. We ate with friends we had not seen in some years, and so paid less attention to the food than it probably deserved. But we took much of it home afterwards, and found it satisfactory today. The waiter was physically imposing... given a leather jacket and a motorcycle he could have been a very convincing Hells Angel. But he was polite, helpful and friendly... so much for appearances.
