Yeah, issa no for me. I took it out the bag and put it in the pan. I'm gonna leave my review. Plus I'm hungry and paid for it so I'm gonna eat it. Don't like the corn too big, potatoes too big sausage was ok and crab legs so so. It needs more sauce juice ( garlic butter). Yeah I won't be back... and to be honest when I saw the black girl there my hopes were high.

The oysters were incredible!! I'm not a huge fan of po-boys, but the bread was soft and it didn't have too much mayo, which is what I prefer. I added hot sauce provided on the counter. The staff was friendly and they even threw in a coffee & chicory panna cotta for us to taste, which was delicious. I would definitely come back for the oysters and to try either the gumbo or the crawfish etouffee. Would be back a lot more often if they had a special drink happy hour considering the food is a bit pricey.

Original Hurricane was perfection, had to have another. Not a boozy taste but it does catch up with you. I was a little disappointed with the catfish because I was expecting that Nawlins flavor and it was just fried catfish, meh. The cup of gumbo and the spoonful of rice (not complaining about that, it was enough) is where all of the flavor is! The chicken, the andouille and the roux, brought back so many good memories of good food while in the French Quarter. They did that, I should have gotten a larger portion! Our waiter John was very nice and checked in on us regularly, didn't have to lock for him or try to get his attention. Again the place is small but he was very attentive. I would go back just to try other things and hopefully I will get more of that flavor.

We ordered a kalbi burger with gumbo and a kimchi jambalaya. The flavor was just amazing. I had the burger and the combo of burger and the sauces and flavors it has combined with the gumbo was just perfection! The patty was perfectly cooked. A medium cook on the meat was so juicy and very well seasoned. The gumbo was just perfection. My husband had the kimchi jambalaya and I will say, for someone that doesn't like kimchi this was so well made. Not too over powering ... I liked it when I tried it. My husband loved it!

Anyway, the eatery is up the block, sitting at the corner of the street. If we had known, or if they've updated their address online, maybe my husband wouldn't be sporting a bruise on his shiny forehead. On to the food... It was an interesting take on several items. The only thing I would consider ordering again is the seafood jajangmyeon. The jambalaya was underwhelming to say the least. I liked the corn over the rest of the apps. Then again, who can screw up corn?? The establishment have two floors but their first floor requires descending a few steps to access so one would wonder is that a basement. Top floor have the huge windows so every guest wanted to be up there. Toilet is in between the floors, in the middle of the staircase. Better watch your step, or else you would be rollin' with your Kjun!

Amazing food, vibe and service!…read more Since I knew we would be in the city Sunday and would probably want to brunch before the concert that night, I looked up a bunch of places and this one kept catching my eye. We almost wouldn't have been able to go because I waited until that day to make reservations and it seemed like they were all booked up. But luckily, my boyfriend had a great idea to call to see if anything was available. Although I was only communicating with an automated system/ai rep, it was able to find reservations for 1:45. We took it and it was worth the wait! This is a very cute spot in Tribeca. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted, checked in for our reservation and seated immediately. Walking up, there is a little outdoor covered seating section that is set on the street next to the sidewalk. Inside, there was a jazz trio performing to the right when you first walk in. As we headed and got to our seats, we saw that behind the bar/counter seating they had the flattop cooking station so you could see the chefs preparing all the food; the bar was also in that area. We knew beforehand about the unlimited drinks option so we of course went with that - $36/person and had like 4 different brunch drink options you can rotate through over the 90 minutes. Our server came over pretty quickly to introduce herself and get our initial order. I was hoping to try out the Biscuits & Cajun Crab Gravy but they ran out of biscuits, so I ended up ordering the Chicken & Beignets instead. Boyfriend went with the Shrimp and Tasso Country Grits. Omg... Everything was delicious! Chicken had the perfect crisp and cook, beignets baked just right so they were soft and well complimented with the blueberry compote. And I had a bit of the grits - so creamy, perfect texture with a unique yet satisfying flavor with the sauce. Could kind of taste the coffee but also felt like there was something like a hint of curry or something in that red sauce - it was very good! Highly recommend checking this place out (make reservations for the weekend!). Because there are more things on this menu we would want to try, we said we have to try to come back very soon

I was talking with a group of friends about New Orleans food and realized how much I miss it. Since…read moreI can't make a trip down there anytime soon, I searched for Louisiana-style gumbo in New York and came across this restaurant. After seeing the photos and reading the reviews, I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, I left highly disappointed. From the appetizers to the entrée to the dessert, nothing gave me that "wow" factor. Even the dining setup wasn't enjoyable--the tables were so close together that I could clearly hear conversations on both sides of me. It made it hard to even have a private conversation at my own table. I started with the charred oysters. They were just okay--nothing memorable. The smell wasn't very appealing, and the flavor didn't work for me either. Maybe there was too much Parmesan, but whatever it was, the flavors just didn't come together. Next were the fried green tomatoes with shrimp, and this dish really confused me. The shrimp had a sauce similar to what you'd find on Asian-style rock shrimp, but the shrimp were served cold. That combination just didn't make sense to my taste buds. I ordered two different gumbos to compare them. The crab gumbo was a complete miss for me--I absolutely did not enjoy the flavor. The "Gumbo All In" was better. It had some bold flavors, and while it wasn't amazing, it was definitely the one I preferred. The drinks were just okay. Nothing special. For dessert, I tried the Caramel Cornbread Cake and the beignets. I took the cake home and ate it the next day, so maybe that affected it, but I still didn't enjoy it. The beignets were even more disappointing because they weren't fully cooked in the center. I really wanted to like this place because I was craving authentic Louisiana flavors, but it just didn't deliver for me. Based on my experience, I don't see myself coming back.
