They do have a fine selection oon a variety of goods. They have doghouse, couches, tires, gas station, electronics, dairy, frozen foods, jarred goods, alcohol, soda, vegetables, fruit, and everything under the sun. They also have tastings on Saturday usually. We don't care for their rotisserie chickens because they are too salty for us. They do have a couple of options of quick foods. Very polite staff here. It is a good Sam's. I would say an average size. I have seen bigger in other cities and smaller. I am grateful this one is here. It is the only one in the city and is near the Baylor campus. Everyone I am sure knows how these clubs work by now I imagine. You buy an annual membership and get a great price on bulk items. Great for businesses. If an individual I suggest you make sure you need that big package and that it won't expire too quickly to use it. There are great prices to be had here. Some prices you can honestly find a similar value elsewhere w a sale like the 4 2 liter soda pack for four dollars. Many time stores have a sale for a two liter for a dollar. They have good prices at the courtyard as well. Finally had a hotdog and drink there and it was really good for the price. They do have plenty of seating there as well. There has been no activity on any of my credit cards or checking account. I have called the store a number of times plus have gone back in person to check to see if it was turned in with no luck. The customer service at the food court is HORRENDOUS!! They are the ABSOLUTE SLOWEST employees I've ever dealt with when ordering food at a place to eat. The number of people that were waiting in line were at least a dozen and the turnaround time for one order was about an average of 30 minutes per person. The checkout cashier would take the online orders first before even taking anyone that was in line. As warehouse clubs go, this is one of your basic run of the mill places. I'm familiar with Sam's Clubs since their earliest days in the 1980's, and not a whole lot has changed since. To it's credit, there's a big jewelry desk with a great selection, but oddly enough, just feet away there were some cheap cardboard tables set up selling all sorts of oddball junk, I assume it was supposed to be some kind of last minute stocking stuffers... but it was just bizarre. The selection of goods overall is typically overwhelming like most warehouse clubs. They cater to the local tastes, which in itself makes it a bit different in some items from say a Costco in the SF Bay Area. But when you're in need for a 24 pack of soap or running short on a year's supply of toothpaste, this is a great local resource to satisfy the discount shopping pack-rat in all of us. read more

I really feel they need to get some more cashiers and door-checkers...there's NO reason to have to wait more than 2 minutes to leave a store after you've given them your hard-earned money. Nope. This Sam's Club is located immediately off the highway, easily accessible. I was traveling cross state and was in dire need of gas. Normally, I've always enjoyed shopping at the Waco Sam's Club because of the value of their merchandise & friendly service. However, today, I was very disappointed by the actions of one of their new cashiers. A petite young lady waited on me & was as polite as expected. I paid with a $100.00 bill & awaited my change. I reviewed the transaction monitor to ensure what amount I was getting back. Then I watched the cashier pull out the bills from her register. She was fairly slow so I was able to count the funds simultaneously. She short changed me. As soon as she handed my change to me, I stated, "This is not correct!" Immediately, she responded, "Oh, I owe you $4.00!" She had purposely shortchanged me. Then, I had to wait until she waited on 2 more customers before she called a manager over. The 2 customers she waited in paid with a card so the register didn't open. Finally a manager came over & immediately handed me my change. He was not suspicious of her actions. I don't know, but suspect, the two had may have a joint rip-off operation going on. I told the manager to keep an eye on this girl because she did this on purpose. He said nothing to reassure me it was an accidental mistake. This is just a warning, be wary of your money regardless of how reputable the business establishment may be. Had the girl told me she needed $4.00, I probably would have given it to her but she showed no remorse. Great disappointment to me! read more

Sams Club Tire Department Waco, TX- It is the most unprofessional tire service I have experienced in my short 65 years. They could not balance our tires which I had previously purchased there because they were out of "lead tire weights". They have been out of lead tire weights for over a month according to tire personal. So I asked to have the tires rotated and check the balance on the tires as part of the rotation process. They rotated the tires but forgot to check the balance. When asked about the balance, they said they were sorry and would do it if I had time to wait for the entire process to be repeated. I said no. The next day at another tire store, one of the tires that they rotated had the steel belts showing through the tread. Enough!!!!WHERE ARE THE Sam's Club Waco, TX PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS ETHICS???? I'm writing this review for those who are considering buying a membership. I've been a membership holder for the past 9 years, and this is my last year. For starters when membership was $30 I could dignify paying to shop here. It's now a $100 renewal and don't you dare try to change it. Prices on A-1, Ozarka water, and kosher refrigerator pickles were ok. Which they don't carry the pickles anymore. They have a habit of discontinuing stuff I like to buy.Then, a very pesky cashier driven by quotas talked my husband into the "plus" membership. With promises of a $100 travel voucher (fine print not available at purchase says only when booked thru the store) and the possibly of recouping cash back was too much to pass up. Scam. A strait up scam. Unless you are purchasing energy drinks to sell at a gas station, you will not get your money back. The only part of Sam's club that is of value and worth paying to shop there is the optical department. Tires..well, they were higher on the exact same tires than Discount Tires (I don't pay to shop at Discount Tires, btw). Plus they are understaffed in the tire department (see...long wait times). Also, the tire warranty from the paying to shop here store wasn't nearly as good as Discount Tire. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because of their meat department. Unlike Walmart and other cut rate stores they still cut their need in store and it is good. Better quality than HEB. Produce is terrible. More than likely no matter how hard you look something is rotten in your purchase. Gas...pennies different than HEB. I don't pay to shop at HEB either. On my last trip here after being detained at the front door for my membership card (really don't want to dig thru my purse to find, while holding sleepy kid) that I've never had to show at entry before, I said bye bye Sam's Club. Costco is much better even if you have to drive to Austin or DFW. It is worth it to pay $50 to shop at Costco and drive that far. read more

I use Sam's Club and find the place can offer some good deals on some type of products and not such good deals on others. My favorite thing about purchasing something from Sam's is their return policy. An example, I bought a digital camera around 2 months ago at the store. I didn't use the camera much and gave it to my kid. A couple days later it was not working correctly. I didn't have the receipt anymore but I boxed it up and took it to Sam's anyway. Within 5 minutes and no hassles, I had exchanged the broken camera for a new one. Over the last couple of years I've been very pleased with their customer service. I've saved the price of my membership with savings on shipping supplies I use for online sales. Good deals at Sam's that I've noticed are in bulk food, quality jewelry, office supplies, some electronic goods, and name brand clothes (not much selection though).
