Went through the drive thru at 3:40 pm to get medication that was submitted at 11am and was told it was not ready yet and I could wait and it would be ready in 20 minutes. So 30 minutes go by and I come back to pick up, well this time it won't be ready until 8 pm now. They have the worst pharmacy possible and how does it go from 20 minutes to now 4 hours? Definitely will be changing pharmacies after this crap.!! read more

They now have prescription filled in a main fulfillment center and it takes longer to get the RX. I have one Rx that my insurance will not pay for, so I have to call every time and ask the pharmacy to go ahead and fill it without my insurance. They always fill it at that point, locally and have it within a couple of hours, and they let me put it on Good RX to reduce the cost. And they are always super nice about it. I do have an issue with their vaccines, if you set up an appointment for a vaccine, you may still have to wait 30-60 minutes. I can get it faster at the doctor's office. The staff at the pharmacy is wonderful and will help you find whatever you need. read more

This is by far the far the worst pharmacy in Waco. I went the drive thru, paid cash for my prescription then several days later they charged my card. I never authorized them to use the card and why do they have it on file? When I asked I was told they would have to review the video. Still waiting for my refund. In all the times that I've needed a Walgreens run, I've never had an issue! The staff is always nice, and even makes small talk with you. They have a wide variety of candy, (sometimes they have 2 aisles just of candy alone)... a wide variety of magazines to choose from, huge makeup department (for a drug store) and the line is never long! It's probably about 3 people's max. (I'm talking about the checkout line). I hate to admit it, but I spend a lot when I come here too! It's so addicting for me! read more

As a physician, I tried to call in a prescription to this walgreens at around 8:30 PM to 9:30 pm., 9/12/21... a Sunday night. All I received was we are busy and After 25 minutes, not once, but twice I was disconnected. This call was for a patient very ill. I was trying to help the patient. I was told Jordan was the manager on that night. She was worthless. I don't know who are the bosses of these people, but these individuals need to quit if that is the best they can do. What they don't know is that..It's not a problem. Until it's a problem. That is the problem. They don't give a care about anyone, but themselves...Until..they want someone to care and help them. Then and only then do they throw a fit. Shame on Walgreen's for hiring these people. Shame on these people for not caring to do their job. Worst experience in customer service I've had in years. Walgreens has an app and online ordering for pickup, but then the store refuses to honor the online order. They have the order, they have the items, but they will not sell it for the discounted price they promise online. This evening Joseph the shift leader literally told me he would not adjust pricing to match what we had ordered online, even agreeing that he could. He just refused. This is bait and switch fraud. And they know it's happening, they just refuse to fix it. Joseph in particular needs to find a new place to work, as he's the worst on-site manager I've worked with anywhere. read more

I have been a loyal Walgreens cuatomer for 25 years. The pharmacists and staff at the Walgreens in Austin became like family. They knew my name--they knew everyone's name. They provided quality service all the time. They were friendly, caring and professional. That was my experience at every Walgreens I have ever been to, until this one. The turnover in the pharmacy is strange. You never see the same person twice. Nobody gives consistent information. The last time I went through the drive through, the tech could not have been ruder and there was not another person in line. It was the middle of the night and not a soul was around. How stressed could she have been? As of right now I have been on hold on the phone for 21 minutes. I'm giving 3 stars because there are some nice techs and pharmacists and employees. It's too bad they just appear once and then you never see them again. read more

Pharmacy is a joke, standing in line for an hour to get a prescription. Lack of staff register clerk can't operate the register. Line is past the middle of the store. No management anywhere when I stood in line for vaccine in the marked line and asked about are you doing vaccines. I had an appointment to get my first dose of the covid vaccine at 4:45. I arrived 15 minutes early to check in and took a seat in the waiting room. The pharmacy was busy and it was taking a while for anyone to hand me paper work. After an hour of waiting I got back in line to ask what the hold up was. An unkempt employee with long hair and a scraggly beard told me the pharmacy was busy. When I told him my appointment was scheduled for an hour ago and people that arrived after me already had their shot before me he said "listen man, do you want the shot or not". I was very displeased by his condescending nature and general lack of professionalism. I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

But when I showed up they told me it was out of stock, which he realized when he got off the phone with me. But he didn't think to call me back? I honestly don't understand how this Walgreens in Woodway stays in business. My husband has several prescriptions that he fills at Walgreens and for the past several months, they've been incapable of filling them in a timely manner. It's not bad enough that they tell him they're ready when they're not; this last time, they called to say a prescription was ready and when he went to pick it up, they said that it was ready but in BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA!!!! (We're in Texas...) Every time he has to fill a prescription it takes two to three trips to Walgreens because someone who answers the phone says something is ready when it's not. The level of incompetence is truly mind-boggling. It's frightening to think, really, that these people are in charge of dispensing medication. Also love the store, workers are always willing to give discounts, you do have to ask to apply credit points-wish this was just automatic, but they always have stock, sometimes a little wait for hot meds. needed now, but no where near Walmart wait time for medications, plus drive through. I do wish though that my husbands meds. where on contract so we could get 3mn. The most wonderful Pharmacist I have ever seen !!!!!!! I could not believe it !!!!! I literally dropped off the prescription in the drive thru and was ready to leave and pick it up 15 - 45 or more min later like you have to do ANYWHERE these days & He filled the prescription in front of me in 60 seconds! 60 seconds ! ONE minute !!!!!!--- THATS IT!!!!! He filled it then rang me up on the register and checked my insurance - everything in less than 5 min total ! Stephen E. is his name !!!!!! It was at 6:58am on a Saturday morning so not too too early but not late ..... I had a car in front of me but the car did.....not even stay 2 min when I was behind him. I was personally verbally attacked and threatened by a pharmacy staff member. I pulled up at 1:50-1:52pm in the drive through to pick up my prescriptions. They are closed 1:30-2pm on Sunday afternoons so I was patiently waiting until they opened in 8 minutes. A woman opened the blinds and got on the speaker and told me I could not wait and she would call the cops if I did not move. I began to reverse to go park and she yelled again at me saying I couldn't do that and she would call the cops if I didn't go park (which I was already in the process of doing.) If I could give negative stars I would. I went inside and picked up my prescription once they opened (minutes later) and left a note to be given to the manager at the front Walgreens checkout line. I have gone up the chain to place my complaint. I talked to a shift lead on the phone and she apologized and said I should never have been told that I could not wait in line as there is no policy in place that someone cannot wait. Just as if I were at the bank and they were opening soon, I would wait for them to open in the drive through line. I hope something is done. No customer should ever be threatened, nor verbally attacked. I don't expect much from an establishment with 2.8 stars, but I certainly was not expecting to be verbally attacked. I will update as this progresses. Now knowing that it wasn't even a policy to not wait, I am even more upset and should have just let her call the Woodway cops (who I'm sure wouldn't even come because there is no policy saying that I cannot wait for them to open). I usually get refills a couple of days ahead. They must now have a new "Gate Keeper" I have had problems with refills the last 3 months after yrs of using only this pharmacy. Needed to leave town, my sister was dying & it was only one day from the time "I picked it up". In the past I could pick up 3 days early, but they called my Dr, he didn't understand why, I didn't understand why & they didn't refill it or let me know why. I waited as long as I could & I left without them, she died 30min before I got there. Thanks Walkgreens. Next refill will be at another pharmacy. What a nightmare !!! Recently moved here , had such a bad experience ! Transfers aren't that simple ! I am in tears with the treatment received ! I definitely agree with the previous review of this establishment! We have gone through almost the exact same situation. Plus to be talked down to !!! To be insulted ... after receiving an email that my script was ready for pickup to be sent home twice from an hr round trip !!! Now a third trip will hopefully satisfy this Mark pharmacist , who said to my husband after his second visit " I thought WE had an understanding ". WE!!! The ineptitude of the pharmacy is astounding. As a consumer and a prescriber I will never use this pharmacy again. Numerous times I have had the pharmacist lie to a patient telling them the prescriptions were not called in when I had personally called them in. I have had the pharmacist outright refuse to fill a prescriptions because my insurance wasn't going to pay for it even after I told them I would pay cash for the prescription because it is what my doctor prescribed. read more

Great store, great location and a pharmacy that is fast. My only issue has been finding expired products in the refrigerated food area so I always check that closely. Otherwise it is my "go-to" place for picking up a few food items and sundries so I don't have to walk for miles in HEB for just a couple of things. read more

Incredibly terrible pharmacy. Scripts are called in days in advance however they are never ready to pick up. They tell you wait 5 minutes that actually result in you sitting In the hard plastic chairs for eternity. As I'm writing this, there is a lady in front of me checking out and it's been 17 minutes for her to pay for over the counter meds. To top it off everyone working the pharmacy is incredibly rude grouchy and condensing. Just trying to get my scripts. Cvs to the rescue.
