Well? After several months of successful experiences with curbside at this location, the thrill is gone. Over the course of the last 4-5 weeks, they're slipping. Today, 6/17/25, ordered $197 in groceries. Kid brings them out, it's a lot, put in the backseat of my truck, say good luck in this heat, and head home. One item missing? Ok, as long as it's a small inexpensive one. Items of a large size, 40oz frozen green beans replaced with 4 - 16 oz bags at the same price? Cmon man, that's a $1.33 I still ain't heard about. But $33.16 not in my order? That's not cool. Called in to report it. Woman answered extremely angry obviously having a bad day. And blamed it on a bad connection. Puts me on hold for 6 minutes. Dude answered and asked what I'm missing. "Where you want me to start? Canned goods? Fresh food?" Fresh food it is. List them out, dude comes back and says kid remembers putting them in my truck. "And what about the silicon tongs? The chipotle peppers?" Oh yeah, he put them in your truck. "So you are calling me a liar? He might have put them in "A" truck, but it wasn't my truck. Of the fresh food missing, that "WAS" going to be for dinner. And we make our own dog food, which sweet potatoes is a major ingredient." I'm not calling you a liar. Well? If you say the kid put it in my truck, and I say it ain't there, you ARE calling me a liar. Wife called on her way home and said she'd stop and pick up the missing items. So, what did we learn today? Hopefully it's a lesson not soon forgotten. Alas, I doubt it. Step mf one. NEVER call the customer a liar. Why would I lie about $33.16 out of ~$200? Of produce? Not meat, or big ticket items of which I had. Step mf two. I'm sure yall have a bad day, but answer the phone in a way that WELCOMES the customer. After the initial intro, I clearly stated, "I'm sure you're frustrated, and so am I, so take it down a notch." Step mf 3. Do better with QC/FA. This is not a me problem. And hey, on the lighter side? Yall don't have to worry about me anymore. Pretty sure I won't be back to this location. Even in person for in store purchases. You obviously don't need my business. Oh, and if you still think I'm lying, here's a photo of the receipt when my wife went in to snag the items not in our order. Over the past several years I have noticed a great increase in the number of people taking their dogs into the store. I am not opposed to service dogs with a vest and on a leash, but other than that, dogs or cats should not be in the store. In fact it violates the health department's policies. When I see a couple walk into the store, him with a large shin tzu under each arm and her, needing both arms for carrying the one she has, I know the dogs will be in the basket. But HEB just turns their heads and looks the other way rather than tell the folks, whose dogs have no vest on, are very dirt, that they are not allowed. I have asked at least 10 persons in the store with a pet, if the animals are service animals, and the reply was NO. What gives? What about the other 99% of us that know the grocery store is not a place for dogs or cats? HEB you need to stop this. read more

This place was packed on Sunday!! I guess the locals know where to get their groceries. This place had the freshest produce I have seen in a long time. And the prices were lower than I have seen elsewhere. I'd be a regular if I lived in the area. read more

Every time we are in this area, we load up on groceries before heading back to Fort Worth. Love that they have certain discounts that are different from other grocery chains. For example, we bought their seasoned meat fajitas and got canned jalapeños, a can of Charro beans, a plastic bowl, and a bag of rice all for free! The only negative about this is you have to have the coupon, which is always right by the product...so why not just advertise it without the coupon?? You don't need a membership or anything, it's really just a hassle and not to mention a WASTE of paper. Plus I'm sure the clerks would appreciate not having to manually scan each and every coupon. It's crazy there isn't a better system in place. The staff are always friendly and the good is always fresh and great!! If you happen to stop by during the winter months, there's a migratory bird that likes to stop here, about 5,000 of them...I think they're called Grackles. Not shy birds and kind of a nuisance but the kiddos get a kick out of seeing them. read more

This is the coolest grocery store I've been in. The place is huge and has everything on your grocery list and more. There are several free sample stations and an impressive cooking demonstration that included shoppers too! The prepared food looked and smelled amazing and the HEB brands are the best. This grocery store even sells clothes! The one negative of my shopping experience is the extremely cold temperature inside. Not even my coat could keep me warm. P.s. Beautiful and clean bathroom too haha! read more

I rarely use the word Never & Always, these 2 words are extreme words that typically are used to exaggerate a situation! HOWEVER I am going to use the word NEVER & ALWAYS in this case! I go to this H-E-B about 6 x a month twice a mth for big shopping and the other times for replenishment of milk eggs etc. Every time I go in for my large shopping I ALWAYS end up sacking my own groceries (NEVER enough sackers)! I'm realistic that I should sack for the express check out! However the lines for express check out have gotten to be insanely long, which losses the term EXPRESS! Today is no different, all lanes were RIDICULOUSLY long....where is the manager DOES anyone at this STORE even CARE?????? I say they don't & I'm feed up.... I'm not looking for a hand out, just a place to do my grocery shopping without my food melting by the time I get checked out!!!! Stop spending so much on advertising and service your customers! Well, I thought I'd give it another go after gaining attention from the store manager & even Corp....BUT same ole problem at this location. I've tried other locations (not Continent to my area) and So much better than this location. I don't understand why this store has issues with having sackers available, but omits still an issue as of May 2020! read more

Everything's bigger in Texas! Especially the grocery stores! This place is as big as Texas! They have aisle after aisle, row after row of savings and uniquely Texas stuff. My favorite section is the Baylor Bears shop that they have to outfit the newest freshman or an aspiring Bear! How come we don't have that for other universities!? This place was packed on a weekend afternoon. Lines were long, but the self-checkout sailed through quickly. They had plenty of people on duty, but not enough running the cash registers, so lines were long, long, long. I was surprised to see how thin the beer selection was here, but I guess Waco isn't a hard drinkin' town. They had a small assortment of local beers, and stuff from Dallas and Austin, but the beer selection here was smaller than I've seen at any other HEB Plus. They have a Texas end cap with Texas themed shot glasses, bottle openers, snow globes, etc. The store had wide aisles, and clerks giving away appetizing samples to get you primed to shop. They offer gas here! Vrooom! Save and drive! Plus, inside, they have a sorta fast-food option with pre-made meals you can enjoy on the spot, and pay grocery store prices! Yum. This is one of the few HEBs in the state where you can sign up for a HEB points club card! Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I'm glad I got it just in case. Be sure to sign up for their app for digital coupons to save like a pro. read more

This review is for the HEB pharmacy in BELLMEAD, Texas. This has been the worst experience I have had in customer service. The people I have encountered are rude and give the air that they could not care less. The counter help needs to represent their employer not themselves. This evaluation is not based on one visit. HEB is a true Texas treasure ! Their store brand is usually much better than the national brand. I have never had a bad experience there. It is a great place to shop. The prices are always very competitive and they always have the least expensive gasoline prices in town. A great business ! read more

It's a great day so far, just dropped off grandma. She warned me of the notorious olive cart incident (@Jane B) and the supposedly poor customer service, but I refuse to not give it a fair shot myself. Hitting a lot of traffic on the way there, not off to a good start; however, we are hopeful. We will let you know how it goes. read more

Easy access, close to Baylor university, plenty of ample parking. Maybe not as loaded as an HEB Plus down in Austin, and just about perfect for Waco. Austinites travel up to Waco a lot, this is a great place to shop, pick up the essentials, and grab some snacks. This is my new go to place for all essentials when I travel up to Waco. read more

Dear HEB - please bring your stores (other than Central Market) to Dallas. I love Central Market. But sometimes, you just want normal cat food (like Friskies) and fresh fruit in one place at a great price. I always stop here when coming from San Antonio or Austin on my way back to Dallas. I always find super fresh, seasonal fruit for a very good price. I also love the massive selection of everyday, home stuff. Just as an example of the price differences: the Tom Thumb near my house, my normal cat food is $20 while at HEB it is $15. Tom Thumb and Kroger in Dallas just can't compare! Of course, I could find similarly priced cat food at Walmart but the produce at Walmart just does pales in comparison to HEB's. So, I make the monthly trip to San Antonio and make it a point to stop at this HEB to stock up on my favorite house essentials - from paper towels to cat food. They also have a great selection of outdoor plants. I've also seen them sell shaved ice during the hot summer days. I also like that gas here is super cheap. If you get into Dallas, gas is almost always $0.20 more than at this HEB. So, fill up on everything before going to Dallas at this one-stop shop! read more

This your typical, massive, well-stocked H-E-B Plus. It's a bit older than some. The service people were friendly and helpful. It was a busy Sunday (Mother's Day), yet they had a very large number of their check out lanes working to accommodate the large crowd. read more

store has good selection, but a bit more expensive than wallmart.... service I experienced was not great.... at checkout (register #9, at 7:00pm 24june) girl at register didn't seem like she cared about her job. when I approached and placed my groceries on a belt she was away from register talking to someone else. when I asked her how can I sign-up for rewards card....she initially said I need to apply and come back later on, then she rang my stuff and pulled application and gave it to me...... and start talking to girl on next register...., I had to wait until she was done to get my change and being told to go home to fill up the application. after I was done there, I filled it up and got my card shortly..... the guy who gave me card just handed over it and continued doing whatever he was doing..... customer service SUCKS here, employees need some training on how to behave. read more

What's not to love about HEB? We just really need one in Arlington! The rotisserie chicken salad from the deli is delicious! I like the different deals they have and produce selections. I have to drive too far to get to HEB. I wish more locations would open in DFW. read more

We waited a month for the excitement to die down, then went to the new, huge HEB at Valley Mills and I-35. We weren't impressed with the grocery items--it seemed that there were simply longer aisles of the same offerings. What really decided us to not return was the open-to-the-public olive cart. We saw a woman reach into the olive bins with her bare hands, select an olive, and feed it to one of the three children she had with her. She then reached back in, and proceeded to feed each of the children several times. Revolting at the least, unsanitary at the most. I don't know what HEB can do to prevent this, except move the olives to the deli section, or remove the cart, or station an employee beside it. I won't be around to see their solution to this problem. read more

Before this HEB expanded, we always went to the HEB on Wooded Acres for all of our groceries. Now we come to this HEB because there is a wider selection of goods. We also come here on lazy Sundays when we don't feel like cooking. Their sushi is affordable and fresh. read more

This HEB can get crowded (it's better than walmart though) it's laid out well and once casually recommended to the bread stocker guy to get a certain type of bread. He had it stocked the next time I was there and has ever since. I wish they'd carried a bit more organic products as well as more fair trade coffee options. Just avoid around 5pm or Sunday afternoons. It's miserably packed. read more

We stopped here on a road-trip for a bathroom break & to pick up a water bottle. This is a really nice store! It was a little difficult to find the bathrooms, which are closer to the middle part of the store. Once there, the bathrooms are really big & nice--I could get lost in there (still in a good way, though)! They also weren't very busy that late at night (12:30am). Don't order a custom made cake there. I ordered one for a wedding shower to pick up at 11:00 it was supposed to have little rosettes on each piece. When I got there at 11 they were just icing it and she said Oh it will be less than 5 min. Well my rosettes were just little blobs of icing and it looked very homemade (at the shower they kept saying Oh did you make the cake?). It was pretty awful looking. read more

Parking here is still crazy, but they are one of the better HEBs in waco. I would rather come here than any other one. I also love their bakery here, their bread is amazing. And the customer service here is pretty remarkable. Pharmacy is great! Love it! read more
