My repair was overpriced and I received a quote from the dealer for half the price. When I told the estimator I wanted to take my car elsewhere, I was informed I'd be liable for a $300 tear down fee. My car had a broken mirror and it's hard for me to believe this was "torn down " just to get a quote for a replacement mirror. The quote was $2400 to simply replace the mirror. Once I was tricked into proceeding and the car was almost ready, I was then told they needed to send it outside to reconnect the sensor, which would take another day. 30 minutes later the car was miraculously ready for pickup. When I finally got my car, the price went all the way up to $3400 without any notification of the increase ! This feels like a total rip off because the repair was covered by insurance. I've used Sam's Autoland many times before I but will not be returning. read more

If I had known better, I would NEVER have brought my Toyota to Sam's Auto Land for repairs. My car worked better with the crack on the rear bumper than after Sam's Auto Land did the repairs. I had to take my car back three times after they had my car for three weeks for a job that was estimated to take 10.6 hours. Vic, the person responsible for assisting me with my claim, had such a nasty attitude and Bert, his manager, claimed to be helping but is very deceptive too; I cannot believe anything he says. After taking my car back there three times, due to headlights/rear lights, brakes light not working, symbol in the dashboard saying that a door is unlocked which triggered the alarm to not work, I was at my wit's end. It doesn't make sense; my car started acting up after I took it to you for repairs. I have never had a single problem with my car that I have owned for over 8 years. My insurance company paid almost $6,000 for repairs, I paid my $500 deductible but now I have to find money to take it somewhere else to get a second opinion and some possible repairs to fix this problem. These people have no empathy and Vic is a sexist, he seems to lack respect for women. He said to me that I do not need to call him again, just have the insurance call and he will speak to them. I will never recommend Sam's Auto Land to anyone. They do not hold themselves responsible but instead put the blame on you. This is such a sad and frustrating experience. read more

Located off Western Ave in Gardena. This is all based off my experience with them. I called my insurance company and they use Sam's since it was close to me I decided to go with them. Bert was the guy assigned to my car. He was great did the inspection and called to update me on my car. Along you get text messages on the progress and eta dates and times. I got the text messages and when you follow the link it will open up the progress and show you the cost of parts labor what the insurance pays and what you pay. I had two fender bender insurance claims handled by Vic at Sam's Auto land. Vic works at Sam's Auto Land for 35 years, he is amazingly knowledgeable about each parts on Mercedes, and how the electronic system works. He explains how water got in one of my "Dynamic headlight" via broken lens, then it shorts the system to ruin my other headlight. Vic took cared my two cases very professionally with great courteous. Finished job was as good as new. In another incident not related to insurance, he helped me to replace missing splash shields under the chassis with discount price lower than anywhere else I can find. Driving in LA is full of challenges to keep your car from other careless people, one of my door window got deep scratches while parked at a restaurant in Santa Monica, possibly from falling object or someone was moving things too close to my window, I couldn't polish them off, figure I'll have Vic replace the glass. Vic took a look said: "Wait, I'll see what I can do." Amazingly Vic polished 99% of them off with professional compound and some elbow grease, even with stiff AMG suspension my car was rocking while he did that. It's barely visible now. Saving me from getting a new window. Mind you, he did this at his lunch break as a favor, not an invoiced job. Needless to say, I referred more than a few friends to Vic since I'm the "car guy" among my social circle. I give highest recommendation to Vic at Sam's Auto Land. read more

Ok, it's December 2023. The end of the year. Grab yourself a cup of coffee and nestle into your comfy couch. This one is going to be a tad lengthy. This review is one of the few I prefer not to do but sometimes it has to be done. At least to raise awareness to the business owner of a potentially serious problem or as an opportunity to improve for their customers and also as a warning to customers seeking services from business subpar workmanship in the area of quality. We USE TO be long time customers of Sam's Autoland. Several family members previously used Sams' Autoland. The workmanship, attention to detail and overall quality USE TO be stellar. When I say stellar, I mean their quality of work was far superior over any other auto body shop I had ever used in the past. In the past, I use to commute a lot and living in the dense populous of Los Angeles County had gotten into a multitude of accidents. Fortunately, none of which was I at fault for. About over 8 years ago, we found Sam Autoland. Since then we'd only been using Sam's because they previously did superior work. Fast forward and it's around July 2022. We had a brand new Honda Ridgeline RTLE to haul our little Airstream. We had put less than 3000 miles on it, and one day while it was parked on the curb in front of the house it was hit by an uninsured/unlicensed driver in a mini-van. Pushed the truck right up onto the curb. We took our Ridgeline over to Sam's the very next day anticipating Sam's would have taken care of us as they always had in the past. You're reading this review and probably wondering... Why write a review now? It's already the end of 2023. Well folks, Sam's never finished the work even to this day. In fact I had to buy remaining parts and install them myself. After several attempts to get our truck fixed and returned, we finally got to the point where we finished things up ourselves. After a ton of phone calls back and forth of pushing to get our vehicle returned to us, we finally got it back after a few months. Once they did return the truck, there was still several return visits due to poor workmanship (i.e. missing parts, glue splatter on the roof, bent exhaust tip, overspray on the bed cover from sitting in their shop for so long, etc.). The general excuse was... There is a parts shortage. We have almost all of the parts but we're missing this or that. I myself contacted the manufacturer directly and found out the parts were available. When I informed Sam's, they seemed to be puzzled and said... I wonder why we're not able to get the parts. I'll check and get back to you. This excuse was repeated during several conversations. We recognized the challenges in today's climate regarding the many changes in the product environment but this was absolutely over the top unacceptable. To use the current challenges as an excuse generator was not only obvious but ridiculous. In the end, after receiving our truck I had noticed a few weeks later that an interior part was missing. I again contacted Sam's and informed them. I received the same spiel about they were going to get the part ordered and get back to us in a few days. We waited... and waited... and Zzzzzzzzz. We ended up ordering the part from the Manufacturer and got the part within two days of ordering it. I installed it myself. If I had to guess, I would say Sam's Autoland was most likely working with a parts reseller, who maybe also worked with aftermarket parts as opposed to OEM parts. I say this because now, some of the moldings on the side of the truck are now turning an ashy white. This doesn't happen on a brand new truck less than 2 years in good climate. Will I take it back to have them replace/repair the parts? Never again. They've officially lost all trust and also a long time customer. Their guarantee has zero value in my book. This is a good point to mentioned that if you ever have any trouble with auto repair or service, its always good to seek advisement and guidance from the better business bureau or more specifically, the bureau of automotive repair early on as soon as you encounter trouble. We unfortunately over-extended our patience due to our previous business with them. This review may have been a bit lengthy but believe or not, I did spare you the comprehensive play by play and painful details of dealing with Sam's Autoland. Sam... I sincerely hope this review gets to you and you re-evaluate your staff's workmanship and customer service. For now, we'll just hope our bed or tow hitch doesn't fall off when hauling the Airstream, due to poor workmanship and/or missing parts that we may still be unaware of. I went into Sam's Autoland on Juky 18, 2022 to get my bumper repaired. When I went to pick my cat up thos past Saturday, I noticed the windshield was cracked. Matthew assisted me. He asked me what type of windshield I needed and kept my car so that they coyod repair the windshield. I went back today because on Saturday when I went, I dropped my work badge. While I was there today, I inquired about my car. Matthew turned to Bert to take me to look at my car. Bert immediately said. "We don't Crack windshields here, we didn't do it. He started smiling. Went back to the office laughing. I was so furious that I called the police AND my lawyer. That loby got so quiet when u called my lawyer. Bert told the police they didn't do it. Matthew scary tail then backtracked and said he never told me they would repair the windshield. I asked Bert. "If Matthew never said you would repair it, why didn't he give me the car back Saturday? If Matthew never acknowledged that it was their fault, why didn't he just give me the car back Saturday when the bumper repair was done?" The police officer even caught Bert in a lie. I asked Bert. "Where is the paper from when you walk around the car and check off damages before you start fixing it? You didn't check off the windshield, did you?" He told the officer he didn't. And as you can see by the picture attached, my car had ZERO damages other than the bumper they were fixing. The officer knew he was lying. Then Bert refused to release my car. Said I owed a 500 deductible, when he knew I didn't. Kept laughing. The cop was right there. I was emailing my Statefarm agent the entire time. Told her to call Bert while the officer was there. I told that officer that Bert knows he's lying about it all. My agent called and told Bert there was no deductible. Bert looked defeated when he hung up that phone. My lawyer told me to get the police report, and that we eere suing them. The officer is putting in the report that Bert said I had a deductible when I didn't, and that Bert admitted that my window was not marked off as being damaged when I took my car in. That officer knew that Bert was lying, and I could see it in his face. I don't know if they have ever been sued, but I'm getting them. read more

Awesome body shop in the South Bay! I had an unfortunate event occur earlier this year and this place was approved by my insurance. All the staff here is very nice and highly informative. When I didn't understand something from the insurance they explained all the details nicely. When dropping off my car I opted for updates via text messages and got them daily. My car was even fixed a few days earlier which was a bonus. Upon picking up my car, Bido (so sorry if I spelled the name wrong), walked me through every major and minor detail of what was fixed with my car. I appreciated that kind of detail. Also a bonus, they cleaned up my car on the inside which I was not expecting since only the exterior was affected. I felt bad for the rushed mess I left behind, but was ecstatic nonetheless. I've waited MONTHS for my car to be repaired and have yet to receive it. I dropped my car off NOV 15 2021 it is now JAN 19 2022. The completion sat was scheduled for DEC 17. All I get it text message status updates saying the completion date has been extended. It was also only small amount of damage on the front bumper. On top of that I received a notification of my car being in San Fran. I have yet to confirm this but I received a notification. Will be checking the odometer when I receive the car. I was a bit hesistant to take my car here after reading some of the reviews. However, I am proud to say I had a great experience! I am wondering if it was because it was through AAA Insurance after a collision occured. Perhaps they give better service for insurance claims? I am not sure. Honestly, everyone was very nice and professional. They quoted us 10 business days and it was done in 4! Not only was it done early, but it the work was great. It looked outstanding. I HAD been a repeat customer for over 10 years. Never NEVER again! I brought my car in about six months ago after an accident. They told me the repairs would take two weeks tops-it ended up being over six weeks. Now, the repairs are already failing. As a resident of the South Bay, I am very familiar with Sam's Auto Land. So, when I was in a minor car accident, I decided to visit their office since they had so many excellent reviews and Gardena Nissan recommends their shop for all auto body repairs. As I entered into their office, I noticed that there were several male employees just gossiping amongst themselves as the two female receptionist were busy with phone calls. I patiently waited until one of the receptionist finished her phone call and asked her if I would need to make an appointment to receive an estimate. The receptionist never answered my question and asked me if this would be a private or an insurance matter. I explained to the receptionist that I had already filed a claim with my insurance company but wanted to be prepared to provide my adjustor with some quotes. The receptionist then asked me what insurance company I had. I told the receptionist that I was insured with Esurance. The receptionist seemed very confused by my answer and asked me again the name of my insurance which I repeated was Esurance which is an Allstate Company. As soon as I mentioned Allstate, her eyes started beaming and she told me that I would need to speak with someone by the name of Vic. This older male entered into the main office area and asked how he could assist me. I provided him with the same information as I provided to the receptionist as well as details of my accident. Vic then asked me if I was insured by Esurance or Allstate, I repeated that I was insured with Esurance. Once I confirmed that I was insured by Esurance, Vic changed his entire attitude and started saying that Esurance was not a good company and that someone else would have to assist me with my estimate. I never knew that the person who assisted was dependent on what insurance you had. Fortunately, I was assisted by a nice male named Edison who inspected my car and provided me with a quote. Based on the customer service I initially received as well as Edison stating that the repair would cost a minimum of $3500 and take more than two weeks didn't sit well with me, so I will be taking my business elsewhere and recommends that everyone else does the same. read more

My truck was broken into, so my insurance sent my truck to Sam's autoland worst mistake! They had to keep taking my truck back because they kept messing up whatever they were supposedly "fixing" to the point were they declined to take it back and fix what they did! I had to take it to another mechanic who said they fried wires where they were fixing. At the end my insurance declared my truck a total loss. This is the second car Sam's autoland messes up of mine the first one was my 2017 Mercedes C300 the lit up in flames also for electrical issues where they "fixed". I've been eager to write this review as the only good thing about my brand new car getting hit by a lady wearing hot pink with a cast on her primary arm was the service I got from Sam's Auto Land. I choose Sam's bc they work with South Bay Toyota and since that is where I purchased my car I wanted to keep it in the family so to speak. I showed up about an hour after the accident and just getting off the phone with my insurance company and even without a claim number they still took my car and started the paperwork. It was pretty much a breeze and I basically signed a paper, showed them the damage, got the sympathy of "You don't even have plates yet", offered if I needed a ride since I live local, and was on my way. I had to make a stop by the following day as I left some things behind that I needed and they were more than accommodating to escort me back to the work area to get them. I also had the claim number to give them and they were on top of it and had it already. I had to stop by a second time the day before I was to get my car back for one last thing. At this point my car was in the painting process and completely wrapped up, taped and covered in plastic. I felt so bad that they had to unwrap one side but the kind man that showed me back said it wasn't a problem at all. Everyone was kind and provided great service. They really made this annoying situation a easy breezy experience. There is an Enterprise Rental Car Company on site so if you need a car it is very convenient. They work with most insurance companies and their is an assigned Sam's rep per each company. Someone always answers the main phone number and sometimes you may have to leave a message for you primary contact but they always called back fast. Picking up my car was a breeze. My insurance check came in my name only but I was just able to sign that check over to them. They DO NOT take personal checks so debit or credit cards are accepted only. The only downer is that they are located on two major busy streets- Western Ave and Artesia Blvd. Their shop is large but the parking lot in the front is narrow and kind of hard to get in to off busy Western Ave. as if you are heading there via North, West or East you have to pass the place a little ways and then make a u-turn. Do not dare get tempted to park in the HUGE wide open Yorgo's Burger lot as they have a parking guard out on the hunt. Even though I only had to cover the cost of my deductible I felt the repair cost was reasonable and actually veered towards the lower side for all that they fixed. Made an appointment to get my car inspected and after waiting for a bit, a guy went with me to take a look at the car, took some pictures, and discussed what will be done. Turned out to be a minor fix and he said that it'll probably take 1-2 days. Got a call 3 days later saying my car was done. 1 day more than estimated, which wasn't too big of a deal. Made an appointment to bring in my 2018 Nissan Leaf on a Monday for some minor bumper and quarter panel damage. My vehicle was inspected and I was out of there in about 15 min. I opted for text message alerts for my vehicle's status and I was kept in the loop every step of the way. I couldn't believe it, but my vehicle was scheduled to be finished by that Friday - (less than 5 business days.) I was given a phone call that Friday at around 3:00 that my vehicle was ready for pickup. When I came by at 5:00, they asked me to inspect the vehicle. The damage (plus a few nicks in the front bumper) were all repaired to perfection. They detailed the inside of my vehicle including floors, seats, dash, center console, and floor mats. I brought in my 2013 BMW 328i to get it repaired after being involved in a car accident a week prior. A car had backed up into my car's right front passenger door, denting it so significantly. I took my car on a Monday morning and was warmly greeted by the staff. After the initial inspection I signed paperwork and was promised about 7 business days. I chose to get email alerts of the progress of the repairs. Not only was my car repaired in a timely manner, I actually received my car within 6 business days! I also appreciated the daily notifications of the progress of the repair. Everything was done so efficiently and they even repaired some of the scratches and dings that was not part of the initial repair. The repair was done so perfectly and my car was washed, waxed, and vacuumed that I felt I drove it out of the lot for the first time. Also, they gave out a mug when I picked up my car! Sam's was great when I got into my first accident. Took longer than expected for repairs but didn't mind the waiting, so why would I not come back for repairs on my new car? I got my estimate done when the insurance (AAA) told me to, the guy who did it told me they would call me when they had availability but if I didn't hear from them to call them in a few weeks. Didn't hear from them so I called and left a voicemail. Again, didn't hear anything, called again and same thing, left a voicemail. The only response I got was to an email sent through their website. They gave me a date to bring my car in which I responded to letting them know I hadn't seen the email and wasn't in town that day anyway and asked to schedule for another day. I called again and left another message and still have gotten no response. Wouldn't be that big of a deal, except Sam's has already been paid for the initial estimate by AAA without having done any repairs on my car. It's been over a year. Nobody acknowledges customers when they come in and everybody's busy doing nothing! Horrible job save yourself a headache and go somewhere else!!! I will never recommend this place to a friend or family member .

Made appointment to get an estimate for my auto repair. Went and got an estimate from Matthew. Told him not sure if going thru insurance or not. He stated he would also have a couple of pins put into an unrelated to the accident section of my car for free that was loose if I brought my car there. Decided to bring my car there for repair as a result of Matthew telling me would also fix something else on my car. Made arrangements for a rental car company to pick me up from there. Art came out to look at damage & showed him also about the area Matthew agreed to have repaired free. He said he will not repair what Matthew told me they would repair & that he's new there. He then refused to repair my car altogether because he was worried I would give them a bad review. He was very rude the way he spoke to me. Clearly not customer service oriented. read more
