    Moo ping

Great food and good spice! Finally a place that will serve me spicy food the way it's meant to be :) I was pleased to see their menu is well indicated for gluten free and they had many options for me. We shared the moo ping and nam tok appetizers. Both were delicious. I always have to order moo ping when I see it on a menu and they delivered. For main I got the pad ki mao. I have not been able to eat this dish in years because most restaurants don't make it gluten free. It was delicious with the right spice level

A mellow spot to grab some Thai food--Same Same offers some classic comfort dishes. The dining room is easy to enjoy, and the food comes out as you would expect it. Service is simple, and in this case no news is good news. If you're in the neighborhood and you want an affordable meal, Same Same is a great option.

Same Same has an excellent menu and excellent service! We were immediately greeted and seated inside this modern Thai restaurant with a bar style set-up! We definitely recommend doing a family style ordering to be able to try more than 1 of their yummy dishes (my favorite being the Kapow Style Cripsy Pork Belly if you like spice)! We will definitely be coming back!

I was craving Burmese styled food tonight and I realized that the restaurant I was intending to go to was out of business. So we decided to go next door. This Thai food was actually pretty darn good. They definitely did it right. Not only was the food good, but the ambiance had this intimate, trendy, fun feel to it. The servers were great. And it was just an overall nice experience. Glad to have tried it out tonight! It was definitely a fun silverlake experience here.

The staff were welcoming. The service was not so great. I dined with a few friends and we ordered their pad see ew, pad Thai, and grilled chicken. The flavors for each dish were lacking. There was a human hair on the pad se ew. It look a while for one of the plates to arrive. The restaurant was extremely loud, it was a little difficult to hear each other. We had to lean forward and somewhat shout to converse. I don't see myself returning.

At a very unassuming location in a strip mall plaza in Silverlake, this is probably the best Thai food I have had in a long time. It's authentic & family owned. The service was super friendly & our server Brady was very knowledgeable about the menu & with recommendations. We ordered their crispy veggie spring rolls, grilled oyster mushroom naked salad (my favorite) & the Panang curry with tofu & rice on the side. It was so much food & so delicious my mouth is watering writing this review. Will definitely be back soon!

Bestie and I came to Same Same a few weeks back and snagged a couple bar stools at the back bar. We ordered all sorts of stuff, beginning with a Singha and a few items from their impressive HH menu. Everything was pretty tasty. We had the chicken satay skewers, sticky rice, chicken wings, fresh spring roll (no tofu), red curry, pad se ew, thai sausage, and the tapioca dessert. The one item I would not order again is the spring roll, everything else was really tasty!! I was really excited about trying Same Same but in all honesty, we have some really great Thai places much closer to home so I don't feel a need to travel this far out for Thai. If you're in the area, solid option for sure! Service was great. Parking in private lot, but limited.

I even enjoyed both a white and a red during my visit. Normally mixing wines can leave me with a headache the next day, but the bartenders paired everything so thoughtfully that the wines complemented each other beautifully, and I felt great afterward. I can't wait to return and experience both the food and wine together next time. Highly recommend!

Our server took the time to explain everything on the menu, which we really appreciated. The ambience is beautiful, and the noise level was perfect--you can actually enjoy your meal and have a conversation. And the food was SO good! We had the New York ribeye, which was amazing, along with the tall fries--definitely a must. The tuna crudo was fresh and delicious, and the beef tartare and Wagyu skewers were both amazing as well. We also had the dry-aged meat board with lamb, which was really good, and the prawns were another favorite. Everything we ordered was delicious! We finished off with the ice cream dessert, which was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. They also have a very good wine list with plenty of great options. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, everything came together for such a memorable experience. Definitely one of those places you leave already thinking about when you can come back. Highly recommend!

The Butchr bar burger is a dry-aged ribeye blend patty that comes out juicy and is a good size. The tallow fries are thick and freshly fried- paired with the burger is a perfect combo. The ribeye is shareable and I loved putting the horse radish on it. For dessert we ordered the panna cotta & their chocolate covered ice cream bar. They have a small menu of a few set appetizers and then entrees and desserts rotate daily. Ambiance was very cute and cozy. The gentleman who take care of us was super friendly - I'm sad I didn't get his name. I am not a wine connoisseur by any means, I know a few things I like and that's about it. Our waiter was kind enough to let us sample the three whites they had rotating that night so we could pick what we wanted. I ended up going with a nice Georgian white. And now for the food! Cucumber and pomegranate salad (5/5) - it was fresh, crisp, and very well flavored with the fresh herbs. Ghormeh sabzi with rice (3.5/5) - flavor wise it was delicious, it reminded me of my grandma's ghormeh sabzi. Kidney beans were a bit undercooked. Rice was fluffy and well cooked. Tahchin with chicken (3.5/5) - flavor was good, I think it could have used a bit more seasoning and the rice was more "custardy" than I am used to. Blood orange tart (3/5) - the tart itself was yummy but the blood oranges were quite bitter. Our meal was quite expensive which I completely understand given the quality of the ingredients they use and the fact that they are small business. With that being said, I'd probably only come back here for wine and small bites, not a full meal. But I think Voodoo Vin is worth trying at least once.

Do yourself a favor and don't come here. I highly recommend the classic LA ambience at other close by establishments such as The Oaks on Bronson, the Alley in Silverlake or The Cara on Western instead. This place is like a bad Ryan Murphy series. It takes itself way too seriously. I've given them over 4 chances to change my mind since I live around the corner, and they never cease to amaze me when it comes to their entitled snotty staff & overpriced alcohol plus the parking is absolutely impossible! I even had to help customers break out of the parking lot one evening because the gate closes at a particular hour, and the restaurant doesn't even bother to tell you the gates shut at a particular time way before the restaurant closes. you're on your own, good luck getting your car out! avoid this place like the plague.
