At the end of the year, I ordered new lenses for my frames, knowing my insurance would renew the following month. I provided my updated insurance info and was quoted just under $100 out-of-pocket for new glasses. The office manager confirmed the quote and told me they'd save it in the system. They took measurements and asked me to call after January 1st to finalize the order. On January 3rd, I called as instructed. The staff member said she'd place the order and call back for payment. A few hours later, she did--but told me I now owed over $600. I explained that this must be an error, as I had been quoted under $100 just a few weeks earlier. She said she'd check and get back to me. Later, the office manager called and insisted I was mistaken, claiming no such quote was ever given. I asked her to review the records, but she said she already had and stood by the higher price. While I have a lot of respect for the doctor himself, the handling by the office staff has led me to take my business elsewhere. It's unfortunate, but I can't trust a team that doesn't stand by their word or treat patients with accountability.
