You have to understand that my mom was EXIGENT about not getting a pair of glasses after her cataract surgery a few years back. She was so adamant, we had to pay extra for the fancy lenses to be put in her eyes at the time of the surgery. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when my parents called me after their appointment GUSHING about Dr. Garrett and how my mom had also gotten a pair of glasses ordered! Understand that I have been BEGGING her to get glasses for years after her surgery and, somehow, this young man was able to manage what I had thought to be impossible. They gushed about how thorough he was with them. They gushed about how, even though my parents are ESL, he somehow managed helping them understand the findings/recommendations of the visit w/o an interpreter (which is usually me). AND THEN.....he recommended some eye drops to my mom who shares Central Valley dry eye issues with me. So, I ended up with the same eye drops I have been using for the last few weeks and they have been AMAZING for me. So...my parents glasses arrive and a complimentary blue cleaning cloth also arrives...one side has grippies so that your fingers don't slip against the cloth as you clean your glasses! TRULY....thank you for addressing the smallest things. For those of you out there who knows how difficult it can be to manage a set of aging parents, this has been a true blessing.

I had a very negative experience with valley optometric. They advertised contacts online at a…read moresignificant discount to me. I purchased these contacts and picked them up upon delivery. The next day I received a call and was told it was a mistake on their part and I needed to give the contacts back. I was disappointed and felt it was not my fault that this mistake happened so I went in to speak to the manager Lillian. She explained it was one of her employee's mistake and was asking for me to give the contacts back. I asked them to please, if I give the contacts back to hang on to them for me so I can purchase them directly from you due to the inconvenience of this mix-up. At this point she threatened to kick me out of the practice if I did not give back the contacts. I told them I had a receipt and proof of the discount offer and had no obligation to give them back but as a courtesy I would give them back to them if they would accommodate me by hanging on to them and selling them to me at the price that was correct not the erroneous one caused by their employees mistake. Lillian angrily said she would see what she could do and proceeded to get me kicked out of the practice because I would not respond to her threats so she carried through on her threat to kick me out of the practice. I was given false advertisement and tricked into this problem by their mistake. When I asked for an accommodation and agreed to pay the amount they wanted that was not enough for them. I would not recommend them to anyone. They have signs all over saying that they will adjust your glasses at your own risk. This means if they break your glasses in attempting to adjust them you are financially responsible. Apparently though if they make a mistake and they are responsible for something they will put all the blame on the customer Make threats and carry through on these threats if they don't get exactly what they want.

We just moved to this area and this store is closest for us so went in on Sunday (Mother's Day). The store had two real nice staff members there and only one other customer so we got help right away. I'd like to say thank you to Noemi for taking her time showing us all the options between bundles and equipment and we are extremely satisfied with her advise and help in setting up our account. This store is located next to a couple places to eat as well so while we waited for our Apple accounts to load we even had time to grab some lunch.

His response to me was I could go back to my lunch break and you would have to wait for me to come back in 20 minutes until I finish my lunch.... who would do that to a customer only people that are not well trained and eventually the store needs to have everybody retrained. I hope this message reaches a lot more of people out there and report this to corporate. No one should have to be treated like this at all.

The girls are all kind, helpful, and always go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your glasses. I have gotten regular glasses and sunglasses from the office. They have a beautiful selection and the girls will always find something that looks good on you. They can even order frames for you if you want a different color other than what they have in the office. As far as the location, there is always a lot of room to park and the area is clean and safe. It can be hard to find the office if you have never been before so I would recommend entering the suites off Oakdale, next to Burger King and the apartments. The office is in the back corner. We go every December and can't wait to go back. Best doctor we have ever had. Prescriptions are always 100% and his exams are different than other places because he has new technology.
