So disappointed. Two friends and I made appointments here at 11:00am and no one was there, all lights were off. We waited until 11:10 and then got coffee. No one answered our calls until noon. Then, after they finally answered the phone, they told us they couldn't fit us in today and couldn't do anything to compensate us for our time (offer a discount or offer a future appointment, etc.). It's just really frustrating because we've all been here before, and I've referred many people to them. You would think they'd at least apologize for no one being there! Got my nails dipped instead of my usual acrylics with gel because the ladies said it was easier on the nails & stronger than just getting a gel manicure. Well within 12 hours, 3 of my nails were chipping & flaking. I got them done for a wedding and the nails we're screwed up before the wedding with no time to fix them. Very disappointed in the amount of money I spent versus the quality of the nails. It would be understandable if I was rough on them or Had to work but they chipped with me doing nothing. I have to say the staff is friendly and do a good job on the manicures. I can't say their practices are very sanitary. They use a new nail fIle every time as well as a buffer pad. When it came time for the nail technician to use the drill on my nails she pulled out the drill attachment from a metal box that had what appeared to be nail dust from other manicures as well as the drill attachment she uses on my naIls. When she was done she put it back in the box with the other drill attachments. She even nicked my cuticle while she was using the drill attachment. Samantha and the staff really care about the quality of work that they do and take their time to make sure your nails come out absolutely perfect. I have occasionally gone to other salons when looking for a cheaper bill; however, I am never as satisfied as when I leave Samanthas. I got a basic pedicure and a regular manicure here yesterday. I called at around noon and got an appointment for three o'clock that same day. I arrived about 20 minutes early for my appointment and I was a little nervous that I would have to wait a long time due to the other reviews. However, they were able to get me started early! I am happy with both the manicure and pedicure and my nail technician was super nice. The salon was also very clean and cute! I have yet to find somewhere to get my nails done that I like better than Samantha's. I've always been seated within minutes of arriving (I do always call ahead for an appointment), and their color selection is great. I always receive a gel manicure, and they rarely chip- I get them redone every 3-4 weeks simply because my nails grow out. Their prices are slightly higher than other salons I've gone to, but it's well worth it to me. I'd highly recommend going here, but I also recommend calling ahead for an appointment. read more

We called after reading the reviews about the cleanliness of this spa. We were able to get in before heading out on the road for our next stop. The reviews were right, very nice clean place! The pedicure has to be one of the best ones I've ever had, my nails looked so good I could have just had clear polish and looked great! I haven't seen my toes look that good in 30 years and my calluses were gone and my feet soft and smooth. They didn't give me what I asked for/made my appointment for (quickie mani/pedi) they instead gave me the full mani/pedi without telling me which resulted in a lot more than I was expecting to pay. It also took 2 and a half hours which is outrageous. The results were fine but the process was absurd. This review is specifically about the salon's dishonest pricing - not the services. I made an appointment two weeks prior to get a gel mani/pedi and was happy to hear that the salon would be open Super Bowl Sunday. I live a few blocks away and go to this salon often. When I arrived, I was presented with a "Super Bowl" menu that charged $20 more for the mani and $20 more for the pedi ($110 total instead of $70). I had no other options as I needed the services before I left for vacation the next day. When I told the owner and nail tech that I should have been informed about the higher prices when I originally made my appointment on the phone, and her response was "everyone is raising prices" and that the prices would return to normal tomorrow. I said that it was unreasonable to let people book services without informing them of the price increase when booking, and she said I could have gone somewhere else. At that point, two more nail techs joined in and yelled that I could have gone elsewhere and everyone raised prices for the Super Bowl. I definitely would have gone elsewhere if I had been told originally I would pay $40 more for the same services. And now I will be going elsewhere permanently. read more

I love this place! Not only are they meticulous and do a great job, but they are also all about customer service - it's the little things! They have a candy/chocolate bowl, as well as a variety of beverages (coffee, tea, soda, water, wine). It really is a relaxing experience. Some of the other nail salons in the area always feel chaotic and don't honor reservations/appointments - Samantha's ALWAYS honors appointments on time! Other perks - free parking inside the Bridgewater building (don't need to walk outside if it's cold - goes right into the spa), they do waxing, and not only do they take American Express but you can also tip directly on the card (no need for cash). Got a gel mani, it's pretty but nothing spectacular. I will say the price was not super expensive, but the polish wasn't very evenly applied so there are visible brush lines on them. Pretty bummed out that my gel manicure is peeling off after only four days of having it. Interior and overall service of the nail salon was nice, but the gel polish is coming off already and my cuticles are also peeling. The layers of gel polish are unevenly coated and in some areas thicker than others, which is probably why it's peeling. I did extensive research before deciding where to get my nails done and Samantha's has great reviews, but based on the longevity of the manicure I will not return. It feels like a huge waste of money, I probably should have painted my own nails instead. read more

This place was AMAZING! They did the nails (manis and pedis) for the girls in my wedding party last week and did a great job. I've never had a manicure last more than a few days (my nails just tend to chip a lot) but the manicure I got at Samantha's lasted for a full week before the first chip. I have never had such a good manicure. I really appreciated the fact that Sam herself worked on our nails and offered to open the salon early to fit in our entire wedding party. And when she noticed that we had recently gotten spray tans, she gently told us that we should all go with the cheapest option because it didn't involve exfoliation - the fact that she was willing to sell us a less expensive pedicure option because she knew it would ruin the tans spoke volumes about her customer service. The only downfall was that we booked four appointments to all start at the same time, but two of her employees didn't show up. So four of us came to the salon at 9 AM but only 2 could get their nails done and it ended up delaying our day quite a bit. I know Sam can't control her employee's calling in sick, but it would have been nice if she had called in other employees or given us a heads up that morning so that all four of us didn't come together and spend an hour-plus waiting. Again, not a huge deal considering how great the rest of the experience was, but a bit disappointing. read more
