I had Nancy and she was really nice. This was my first time getting gel x and I think she did a good job. I just wish the details were a bit more clean and precise. I showed her the design I wanted but I wasn't told until the last minute that they didn't have the gems necessary for the design. There also wasn't much cuticle care, she basically just used a drill and different tips to shave off my cuticles and sometimes went a bit too low and hit skin. She cleaned up the cuticles a little with the cuticle clipper but it was very minimal. I'm just used to better attention to the cuticles at my salon from home but oh well. The salon is clean and has a good vibe. I might come here again and request one of the other nail techs that most of the reviews are raving about. read more

I love Nailish!!! I have gone to Nailish two times, one for a gel mani-pedi and one for a gel mani, and both times were excellent!!!! I'm used to having my gel manicures chip or peel off within a week or so, but both times, the gel manis I got from Nailish stayed perfectly on my nails for well over a week! No chips or peeling at ALL!! Maybe the last place I went to just did a bad job but I'm seriously impressed. They also did a great job shaping my nails and painting on the gel perfectly. They look so good!!! One time when I went they were out of the color I wanted, but were creative and actually mixed two colors on my nails to get the right shade!!! I was so appreciative, I got the exact color I had been hoping for! The staff here are always kind and efficient. I saw a few reviews say they go too fast and it can feel rushed, but personally I enjoy the efficiency of it. I often struggle to find time to do my nails so I like that I'm in and out fairly quickly. But that being said, it never felt rushed to me either! Nailish has earned my loyalty and I will definitely be coming back! read more

I came here with my sister for a Mani Pedi, this place always seems to have availability. We were serviced right away and the front desk person was very nice and welcoming. We got the exact same service, but she got a longer foot massage and extra foot treatments. She even got a hand and arm massage and I got neither. I don't understand how we paid the same amount, but the end result was different. I got gel polish and it was uneven with bumps and bubbles, but at that point, I didn't want to stay any longer so I didn't say anything. The last time I was here I did not have a good experience, but she convinced me so I went ahead with it. This is the third and final time that I will come to this nail salon. I also left with nail polish on the palms of my hand. Not to mention the price was not worth the service for me. read more

The location is amazing and everyone is so kind! Parking is usually available. I really wanted this to be my regular spot but unfortunately it's just too pricey for the quality of service the lot provide. I got acrylics and they would start lifting between 10-14 days after, most places I'm able to go until my next fill in 3-4 weeks without any lifting at all. On top of that my fill was $80 for a French tip. I understand prices in general are increasing and I'm happy to pay that for amazing nails that last and are quality but for nails that last a little over a week before they start breaking it's just not feasible to me. I'm bummed because again the staff is kind and the location is good but I don't think I'll be back. read more

This has come to be my go-to nail spot. Partly because it is convenient (not for parking, but otherwise good location S. Mpls) and the service is reliably consistent. I know what I'm going to get and the manis and pedis hold up. This is a middle-end, not high end and not bottom of the barrel, just nice, consistent service and results. Book an appt for the best experience. Pro-tip: grab some popcorn from next door or a Starbucks after you leave with those gleaming nails! read more

I went to Nailish back in November, and had a chaotic experience. Echoing other reviewers - my whole experience was rushed. When I walked in, I was barely greeted and was told to pick my colors. I was getting a dip manicure, and regular pedicure - and I didn't even know which swatches were dip. I tried matching my toes to my fingers as best as a could with the color. I started with a pedicure. The pedicure itself was fine, but I was consistently bothered being asked if I wanted to upgrade - when I had just booked a normal pedicure. I was even asked if I wanted scrub, in a way that seemed like it was included in my pedicure, and it ended up being $5 extra - but I take responsibility for my naivety. During my pedicure, another tech came by and started removing my fingernail polish. I didn't mind this, but it was a bit unusual compared to other salon experiences. The pedicure itself was pretty standard - but I was bothered by the tech criticizing me about my callouses and showing the tech next to us. After my pedi, I was moved to a different nail tech to do my dip manicure. I was immediately hassled for having short nails and was asked multiple times if I wanted nail extensions because they would make my nails look much nicer. After saying no multiple times, she started on my dip and constantly complained about my short nails. In the end, my dip manicure was ok - but more thick and splotchy. Finally, I was on my way to pay and I was asked to get cash from an ATM in the back storage room. I don't mind doing this but just seemed very pushy and unusual. I was unable to withdraw cash since my bank was going through a transition and I didn't have my new information. The tech let me pay with a card, but showed a loyalty punch card to me and said I could get one next time when I pay cash. Needless to say, I left this appointment more anxious than when I started and canceled the other appointments I had scheduled for the holidays. I have not returned. read more

this is the first nail salon i've been to in the twin cities and my first experience was good overall. i got gel-x manicure. i wanted to do a pearl color but did not find it in the nail color selection so i showed one of the technicians the color i wanted. the nail prep process was smooth but the technician tug into my skin a couple time, which hurt a bit. to get the pearl color, they did white + chrome powder, but i was not warned that chrome powder would be an extra $15. the entire appointment took about 1 hr and 5 mins. overall rating: 6/10 read more

I scheduled an appointment and once I arrived, had to wait 25 minutes for someone to tell me that they weren't able to service me at that time and to come back hours later. Scheduling an appointment means nothing at this location. I have been here 2 other times and still had to wait despite scheduling an appointment. I was never asked to come back later. It's unfortunate as I've had some good work done here by other nail techs. I won't be returning and recommend you allow for additional time, even if you schedule an appointment. read more

They do not take care of your nails here, I've been multiple times and have left with my nails completely scored and ridged. Maybe they can do a set just fine but don't bother if you just need a quick mani. You will be very disappointed. Also the staff did not seem like they wanted to be there, receptionist was on their personal phone when I walked in. read more

Not great and won't be going back. I got a basic mani/pedi with regular polish and had a regular polish removal done. For the mani: They don't use cuticle remover and instead just soak your hands before using the tools. Ruby was very heavy handed and punched my skin multiple times while removing my cuticles. She also used the drill not just on my cuticles but overall nail before buffing. I told her I was not getting gel and she still proceeded to use the drill. Drills can take off so much of your natural nail if you aren't careful so there's no reason to use it all over the nail when you aren't getting gel, or gel-x. The application of the polish was sone while I was in the pedicure chair by a different person. The polish flooded my cuticles and there was very little cleanup done. There was also no cuticle oil applied. For the pedi: Ruby did better on this but still no cuticle remover applied and the tub wasn't filled all the way. She did a good job removing callouses and applying the polish. Again, the drill was used and no cuticle oil applied. For a salon to not doesn't do basic manicures and pedicures well, I would never go to them for something more extensive. read more

I feel like two stars is generous, but here's what happened and you be the judge. I scheduled a mani/pedi appointment for my 13yo daughter and myself two weeks in advance. Her Bat Mitzvah is this weekend and I wanted to treat her to gel nails (which she's never had before but has been wanting). We showed up on time and picked out our gel nail polish and non-gel toe polish. (so far so good) Here's where it gets weird. We were seated for our pedis first and they sat us far away from one another (because they had only every-other chair open). They painted my daughters toes, then proceeded to paint her finger nails with the same polish (and not the gel color she'd picked out). They also painted a flower on her nails, then afterwards, asked if she wanted flowers on her nails. (?) When my toes were nearly done, they started my fingernails in the mani chair on the little table to the left side, using paper towels. So My right arm was awkwardly reaching across my entire body to get my nails done. The blue light machine was sat in my lap to dry my nails. All this despite the fact that the nice manicure nail tables were all open and unoccupied. When I asked why my daughter was given basic polish on her fingers and not the gel tigers-eye she'd picked out they said "oops, there was a misunderstanding". A misunderstanding they didn't correct and I still had to pay for. In addition, my daughter's technician stopped in the middle of her service to answer her phone. Then stopped again to count money. Unrelated to the service, yet noteworthy - the woman seated next to my daughter asked my kiddo what grade she was in, and when she responded '8th grade' the woman yelled "I'd rather stab myself in they eye than do that again!". The entire experience was something out of a bad sitcom. At any rate,$220 later, my back hurts, and my daughter was not treated to the awesome gel nails she wanted for her big day. We compensated by heading next door to 'Tom's Popcorn Shop' for a scoop of ice cream and a bag of delicious popcorn with sprinkles. So at least some things can be set right for under $20. Tom's Popcorn Shop (by the way)... 5 stars. Solid. read more

I returned to Nailish, but my second manicure was less impressive than the first. There are lots of streaks/bubbles as pictured like the bottle of polish was running out. I also did not get any lotion or massage on my hands during my manicure which I expected since I received it last time for the same service and paid $38. COVID-19 wise, they still use great protocols that make me feel safe. They also offered me a rewards program on this visit for $10 after 5 visits. However, I don't think I will be returning. read more

Honestly, I really needed a relaxing 30 minutes and wish I had just stayed home instead. I had scheduled an appointment this afternoon with Jessica. When I arrived it felt very rushed and Jessica did not give me a manicure, instead I was seen by a different nail tech. He was nice but moved very quickly. He cut my cuticle area which bled and continued to bleed/hurt throughout the manicure. He did not offer any antibacterial ointment or an opportunity to disinfect the area. He acted as if it was a small matter. I made sure to clean the area with soap on my own after he finished trimming my nails. I'm not the type to make a scene or be dramatic which is why I sat through the manicure without complaining. I should have spoken up or just left the moment I was cut. He finished my nails and was kind so I still tipped over 20% in cash and that was that. However, I won't be coming back and I think it's important to share this for anyone else. Getting cut and bleeding during your manicure is not okay. The photo was taken a couple hours later when I arrived home. I guess they score points for matching my nail color to the color of the cut ‍ read more

Called one morning and they were able to get me in 30 minutes later and did beautiful work. I absolutely loved my manicure! The facility is clean and brightly lit and despite being incredibly busy, everyone was very nice and I did not feel rushed at all. Will definitely be going back. read more

Went to Nailish for a pre-vacation pedicure and was severely disappointed. The pedicure experience was painful, the technician seemed to be digging the tools into my nails and skin. The polish application was incredibly sloppy, I left with polish all over my toes. I added one star back in because I emailed the owner with pictures of my bad pedicure and he refunded me immediately to make it right. I am thankful for the refund but won't be back to try again. read more

I live an hour away and came to the city for a different appointment and was referred here as somewhere that could get me in quick while doing a great job. I saw Lisa for a fill with design. SHE WAS GREAT. this is honestly my favorite I've ever had my nails done. it has been 4 weeks and my nails don't have a single chip and I'm getting compliments as if I just had them done. I'm due for a fill and I'm willing to make the drive to see Lisa again. I came in with my son. I'm a single mom of a 4 year old and rarely have time for myself. they were so understanding and patient. not only was this the fastest I've ever had a full but it was done to perfection. the quality is top notch. all around a really great experience. thank you! My first experience with Nailish was amazing! I called for a last-minute appointment and they were able to get me in for an appointment 30 minutes after my call (Thanks again for that!) I wanted a full set of acrylics and Jenny exceeded my expectations :) The spa is very clean and spacious. They handled the COVID-19 restrictions very well as their staff wore masks and they had clear dividers between the patrons and nail techs. Jenny was my nail tech and I don't think I can ever get my nails done with anyone else again! She is very detail-oriented and you can tell she enjoys perfecting her art. My stiletto-shaped nails were shaped beautifully. I found myself constantly thanking and complimenting her as she was doing my nails! Color was also done very well. Upon finishing up, she also cleaned up my cuticles. I was thrilled about my nails! Yes, the salon does lean a little more on the expensive side but totally worth it if Jenny is a representation of their work and service! I'll definitely be back just for her :) read more

WOW! I'm not one to typically get my nails done so when I do I am pickkkky. Heading back to LA where all of our salons are closed and let me tell you I am SO GRATEFUL I found Jenny!!! I found myself continually saying THANK YOU during my visit her attention to detail is unmatched. I got an acrylic fill and I liked my nails before - but WHOA. I LOVE them now! Hard balance to get acrylics and make them look almost like my own natural nails. And - pun intended - she totally nailed it. You guys look no further this is the nail salon for you. Trust me! The pedicure we got was decent. My gripe is that it was really rushed. I went with a friend and we were in and out of the chairs in 20-25 minutes. I don't think I've ever done a pedicure in less than 35 minutes. The food scrub, massage, and hot towel were all very quick, so it was not a relaxing experience. For $50 (including tip), I would have expected better. We went on a weekday morning, so it wasn't the weekend. I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

I literally just left the same review on Google reviews but I can't resist another five star review because this salon did such an amazing job. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I got the best manicure of my life so far from this salon! Vivian did my nails and she was super precise and paid so much attention to detail. She did the exact same thing with the inspiration photo that I showed her except with a better shape. I'm obsessed. I'm from North Carolina and I'm kind of a nail aficionado - I've gone to a ton of salons and I am sad that I can't take Vivian and her expert manicures back with me!!!! read more

I found this salon on a whim as a walk-in and I was not disappointed. I was greeted and seated immediately for my deluxe pedicure. The facility is clean and welcoming. Tina did a phenomenal job. She was extremely friendly and took her time with my service. I left with my feet and legs feeling refreshed and smooth. I came back with an appointment the next day for a full ombré set with Jenny, who was extremely kind and paid great attention to detail. I loved her honesty when my initial color choice was not as cute as I thought it would be. I'm an out of state customer but I intend to come back if I find myself back in the area. It's great that it's next to a Starbucks and has a free parking lot but that's it. It's horrible to be harassed at the end of your service about payment. This location does not treat clients paying card the same way they treat patients who pay in cash. I gave 3 stars because they are efficient but the customer service is what's missing. read more

I decided to try this place because it's a new location near me. I was pleasantly surprised. Typically nail salons can be loud and chaotic. This place was the exact opposite. There were quite a few people being serviced, however it was quiet and calming . As I looked around I noticed everyone just relaxing and not chatting. I didn't even notice anyone on their devices. This is a very relaxing atmosphere with music playing softly in the background. The place is also very clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing. Behind the pedicure chairs they have a living wall (actually faux, but looks very nice). The nail tech did a very good job, with very little chatting. I appreciate that. I actually noticed that all of them did very little chatting, giving clients the opportunity to relax. I'm quite pleased with my pedicure and will definitely return. This is my new go-to place, and I highly recommend it. If you need a coffee or another beverage, conveniently there is a Starbucks right next door (also new). This is a high traffic area now, but I had no problem finding a parking spot. read more

If price isn't a factor for you then this place is awesome and I highly recommend! I had Cindy do my Aromatherapy Pedicure with gel ($63) and a dip manicure with gel coat ($63). I came in with ruined and pretty weak fingernails due to having acrylics previously so some of my nails broke and were uneven. I told Cindy I didn't want to do acrylics again but I wanted my nails even. She suggested gluing on a couple tips and then using dip with gel on top so that the color matched my gel toes. I'm glad she recommended this! After tax and tip it was $160. For me, maybe because I am from California, this was pretty pricey for the services I received. Usually I spend only $100 after tip in CA. The staff members were pretty nice. The other staff members could work on their customer service and greet customers more as they walk in the door. The salon was very clean and up to date. I did notice however that they don't use disposable, clean/sanitized tools. Maybe it's a CA thing, but salons I go to back home always use disposable tools with each customer so that there is no risk for infection and cross contamination. Other than that, it was a great visit and Cindy did amazing! She put a lot of time, attention and detail into my nails. Next time I am in town for work, I will probably come back. So. I booked ahead of time for a REGULAR pedicure. Did not want a manicure nor did I want gel on my nails. When I got to my appointment no less than 5 employees approached me with their different versions of the sales pitch to have me upgrade to gel polish or upgrade to a mani and pedi. My pedicure was done by Lisa and she clearly was not happy that I wasnt falling for the upgrade sales pitch for gel. She even asked me again after starting my pedi and said that because I'm going to be on a beach the sand will "for sure scratch off my toenail polish if I don't get gel". Well 5 days later and I'm still rocking the half-assed nail polish job she did---no chips at all. I also was taken to my chair AFTER my friend with whom we booked together (my friend had Tina who was GREAT AND LOVELY). Lisa finished my pedicure 10 minutes earlier than my friend. Tina even took it upon herself to finish Lisa's job because Lisa never said goodbye to me. Lisa did not give me the flip flops or direct me to where I can go to dry my toenails. Tina had to step in and see that I was just sitting in my chair waiting for my friend. Basically, if you're not willing to shell out the money for both gel mani + pedi then they (well at least Lisa) won't even bother to give you the time of day. Oh and I also still tipped her 20% because whatever but I was NOT happy with the service at all. Half assed by Lisa but somehow my toenail polish is still on. So, just a word to the wise, don't let Lisa trick you into thinking you need gel because you sure as hell don't. read more

I am very pleased with this nail salon! I had been getting my acrylics filled somewhere else for a while but decided to try this place out since it's in my neighborhood. I'm glad I did! The salon is super cute. Very light simplistic design. The aesthetic is refreshing. The spa chairs for pedicures are great because they use a newer technology for the water basin that lowers your chance of some kind of foot fungus or infection, which is usually a risk at spas. Each workstation has a clean and modern design. The walls are neatly decorated with either plants or rows of organized nail polishes. When I arrived for my appointment (necessary for anything involving acrylics) I was led to the sitting area and asked to pick out a new color. They have SO MANY to choose from! Seriously, there are dozens of those swatch rings. (You know, the metal rings that have a bunch of sticks on them, each displaying a nail color? Is there a word for those?!) I was amazed by the selection. Don't quote me on it but my understanding is that they have EACH color in a normal polish, a UV gel polish, and dip powder. How cool is that. Jenny was the nail technician who did my nails. As someone who is well-versed in acrylics from a variety of salons and technicians, believe me when I say that Jenny did an amazing job. She didn't rush. She was friendly and make me feel welcomed (which was a relief because I have pretty bad social anxiety). I wasn't going to write a review about my bad experience, but my nail polish now chipped in less than 12hours after spending $80. First of all I booked my appointment with a tech named Ava, however, when I arrived I got paired with a male tech Bao (I arrived before my 3:00pm appointment time so that is not an excuse that they like to write on other reviews that complain about not getting the tech they originally booked with). I asked for squoval nails and showed a picture. All my nails are completely round. Once he showed me the first nail he shaped I knew I wasn't walking out of there with anything I had originally wanted. Then, he didn't know what I meant by hard gel and his co-workers next to him had to tell him. He also started applying the gel before grabbing a light to cure it. Finally by the 4th finger and someone mentioning something to him he grabbed the light. He didn't say much to me, which I was fine with since I was pretty annoyed with this appointment already. But everyone else around was nice and talking with their clients. When we reached time for painting I opted to just keep it simple with a single color. Even though I booked for artwork specifically. Even one of the techs next to us asked if I wanted a design and I said originally I did but not anymore. I knew I wouldn't get what I asked for so I didn't want to stay longer than necessary. When it came time to pay and for a tip all of a sudden the guy could speak. I was visibly annoyed at this point and he asked if I was tired and tried talking to me. He didn't let me go through the tipping system on the card and exited out of it and then asked if I had cash. I thought that was rude and felt very pressured when I wasn't even happy with the service. Overall I will not be back and wish I would have read the other 1-star reviews before going because they are very similar to my experience. read more
